Litty, Earns the Title of Knight

It had been five days since Litty had started her mock battles with Ilysis. Many times Litty’s weapons have been flung through the air.

No matter what Litty tried, Illysis was always better than her. The Knights were also analyzing their match.

Litty was physically superior to Ilysis, but she was still outmatched by Ilysis.

“Litty, you did well. You have finally been able to last five seconds in our mock battle.”

“But Ilysis-san didn’t even use any skills. That means you’re still not serious at all.”

“If I use my skills, you will be killed. You should know better by now.”

Without breaking a sweat, Ilysis sheathed her sword. It was a sign that she didn’t want to continue any longer.

It was not that she had given up on Litty. Quite the opposite.

“Your physical ability amazes me. Even if it’s only for a few seconds, you managed to do this.”

“Hair…?”

Ilysis pinched a lock of her own hair that had fallen on the ground and showed it to Litty, while the Knights gasped in shock witnessing this.

There was no one in Silver Fenrir’s squad who was able to hold a mock battle with Ilysis let alone hit her.

And Litty, despite only being able to fight for five seconds, was able to reach Ilysis with her blade.

“Even if it was only my hair, I wasn’t planning to let you graze me. Litty, I don’t know how you feel about it, but I’m the one who should be depressed about this.”

“But I still think there’s something I’m missing, Ilysis-san’s… you know, reading my moves. Hmmm…”

“This is simply a result of the difference between our experiences.”

The difference in experience could not be bridged in a short time, so Litty could only try her best.

The Knights were frustrated by Litty’s troubled look. Enough was enough, they thought. No one among them even considered trying to beat Ilysis.

“Well, can we have one more fight, please!”

“That’s enough, you’ve already earned the pass. You have proved yourself more than enough to pass the test and get the title of Knight.”

“But I would like to at least try one more time!”

“Fighting only against me is unnecessary. You have to fight different opponents to hone and sharpen your instincts. If you can do that…”

Ilysis stopped at the last part as she couldn’t imagine just how strong Litty would become with her full potential unlocked.

Even compared to Aldis when he was just starting out, Ilysis believed it was impossible for him to last for a few seconds in a mock battle with her after only 5 days of training.

Physical monsters often never left their mark on history. Their power was so overwhelming that many people tried to bury their records in the dark.

Ilysis knew firsthand the reason why this was the case. She had come to an understanding of the instinctive need to contain something that was beyond a normal human’s comprehension.

The girl in front of her was simply beyond her understanding. Regardless of how many times she tried to read into what Litty was capable of, she felt like she was looking at an abyss.

“Ilysis-san?”

“Oh, umm, yeah, anyway. Let’s head to the Knight guild now. I’ll inform them that you have now earned the title of Knight.”

“Knight! A new High Rank Title!”

“Myan!”

Forgetting all about her previous request, Litty was now delighted, displaying it with an incredible leap. The Knights could not help but look up at her.
