Sword Control Technique — Nine Heavens Thunder Fire Sword! With Xiao Buli shouting loudly, the Glowing Light Sword whizzed into the clouds, and in less than two snds, it fell back down, only this time the body of the Glowing Light was flashing with bright white lightning. Xiao Buli pointed his finger, and the electricity on the Glowing Light’s body streaked across like a bolt of lightning, with a crack, bisecting the space between him and the cave entrance. Having suffered a great loss from this move just before, these Serpent Demons were naturally not foolish; seeing the lightning slashing towards them, those whould dodge twisted their bodies and swam away to the side immediately, while those in the inner circle whouldn’t dodge in time were blasted to bits without a trace remaining.
No sooner had the lightning struck than Xiao Buli immediately gave an order to the Giant Python. Since it was a pet, the Giant Python and Xiao Buli had a shared understanding at this moment, moving as if they were one being, with swift reactions. Almost chasing the tail of the lightning, the python instantly reached the edge of the large pit.
This provoked an unprecedented resistance from the group of snakes. The cries of the Serpent Demons were piercing, sounding as if children who had their beloved toys snatched away were howling their first cries, a sound that painfully stung the ears.
Then, with a speed they had never shown before, they clustered in the path of the advancing Giant Python. Sharp claws and poison Arrows rained down on the body of the Giant Python, and some frenzied Serpent Demons even began to climb onto the body of the Giant Python using their sharp claws.
Unfortunately for them, the Lava Giant Python possessed the Passive Skill Lesser Dragon Blood, which negated much of the damage from toxins and acid. A poison arrow hitting it would cause only a trickle of health points to drop, and for the Lava Giant Python, which possessed tens of thousands of health points, it was like a mere tickle. The climbing Serpent Demons were not even regarded by the Giant Python; with a twist of its body, the power generated between its scales when it moved was enough to toss them onto the ground. Yet, these Serpent Demons were madly persistent, bouncing back up after falling and rejoining the more ferocious battle.
Xiao Buli stood on the head of the Giant Python, looking down at the struggling Serpent Demons below as if watching ants, feeling a surge of excitement in his own mind. He knew this was the Giant Python’s sensation; he was now in sync with the Giant Python, and it seemed the Giant Python was very interested in the object inside the pit.
The Giant Python opened its mouth wide and let out an excited hiss, and its movements below became even faster. It was clear that whatever was in the pit was something it very much desired. Suddenly, Xiao Buli had a hunch that this object might be the Demon Star that Jingci had once mentioned to him in a story. If he rememberedrrectly, Jingci had told him that within the Barbaric Wastelands there was a Barbarian Ancient Country. Long ago, a Demon Star had fallen upon this ancient land, resulting in the land being overrun by monsters and Demon Beasts, with the culture of the ancientuntry utterly annihilated. If his bold guess was not wrong, it was very likely that this pitntained a fragment of that very Demon Star.
With this thought, Xiao Buli’s heartuldn’t help but beat faster. He remembered that Jingci had used a Demon Star Fragment to transform Maoqiu to the point that he was unrgnizable, with both its appearance andmbat strength having undergone a qualitative mutation. If what he was about to approach was indeed the main body of the Demon Star, wouldn’t the effects be frighteningly significant? Indeed, it would be the perfect treat for his ferocious pet, the Lava Giant Python. With that thought, he leaped down from the top of the Giant Python and pointed towards the pit. Without hesitation, the Giant Python charged straight in.
However, he clearly wasn’t the only oneveting the Demon Star. Before his arrival, these Serpent Demons had evidently been ampanying the Demon Star for a long time. Although he didn’t know if they were always like this, it wasnceivable that the Demon Star was very important to them.
The surviving Serpent Demons, quick as lightning, all rushed back furiously. A moment ago, it had been just the Serpent Demons around the edge of the pit attempting to resist Xiao Buli; now, even more Serpent Demons returned to defend, making the Giant Python’s actions seem somewhat sluggish. 𝒏𝙤𝙫𝒑𝙪𝙗.𝙘𝒐𝙢
However, by now, Xiao Buli was no longer a novice, and his means of killing enemies were not weak. He pulled out an Obsidian Crystal Coffin from his bag and, utilizing True Qi, infused it into theffin. The pure white True Qi, once injected, became clear inside theffin; as the True Qi circulated, theffin emitted an uneasy vibration. Eventually, the white light vanished, and the Obsidian Crystal Coffin in Xiao Buli’s hands turned even darker, as if absorbing light from its surroundings. With a push, theffin fell to the ground, and with a ripple, it expanded to the size of a real saphagus, two to three meters high, radiating an eerie aura of death as it stood at the edge of the pit.
"Open," Xiao Buli shouted.
With a crack, the lid of the saphagus sprung open, and from inside theffin, black,tton-like mistntinuously emerged. The black mist was dense yet faint, obscuring whatever lay behind the elusive fog, dark as if leading to hell. Suddenly, out of this blackness, a Corpse Evil with a pitch-black body and sharp claws like hooks walked out. Its form was at first hazy, then gradually solidified, its fur shimmering with a dark glow. One side of its face looked as if made from intertwined roots, expressionless yet terrifying, with black pupils in place of eyes, clearly lacking any semblance of self-awareness.
This black Corpse Evil was one kind of Zombie, also a product of the Obsidian Crystal Coffin. Once activated by True Qi, theffin would produce a Zombie every ten snds. These Zombies, under themmand of the owner of theffin, possessedmbat prowess far exceeding the Talisman Soldiers Xiao Buli had previously Summoned. Although he hadn’t had a chance to use theffin and was unsure of its exact power, just the appearance alone wasol enough.
