The sedan soon stopped at the entrance of a villa.
Unlike regular villas, this one had a large garden in the front yard, which left Wu Bin completely stunned.
"What a grand house,"
Wu Bin couldn’t help but exclaim.
Han Jiaoyan said with a smile, "My best friend’s name is Dong Yue, and she is from the Dong family of Xijing."
"You’ve heard of Mingyuan Industries, right?"
"The owner of Mingyuan Industries, Dong Mingyuan, is my best friend’s father."
Upon hearing this from Han Jiaoyan, Wu Bin was utterly shocked.
Mingyuan Industries was one of the top hundred enterprises in Dragon Country.
Mingyuan Industries owned many companies and was involved in many industries.
Dairy products, fast food, livestock breeding, pharmaceuticals...
Even someone like Wu Bin, an ordinary person, was constantly in contact with products from Mingyuan Industries.
Wu Bin had never imagined that Han Jiaoyan’s best friend’s family background was so impressive.
This way, Dong Yue was truly a rich heiress.
No wonder there were so many luxury cars parked at the entrance of the villa; indeed, it was a place frequented by the elite.
"Jiaoyan!"
Just as Wu Bin was thinking this, a woman’s excited voice came from a distance.
Wu Bin looked carefully and saw that the woman was wearing a black evening gown, standing out exceptionally elegant and dazzling among the crowd.
The woman lifted her dress and ran over from the distance.
The housekeeper and two maids hurriedly followed behind her.
"Miss, slow down, don’t trip,"
the housekeeper said worriedly from behind, but Dong Yue didn’t care about that, and after running over, she gave Han Jiaoyan a big hug.
"Jiaoyan, I’ve missed you so much, I thought you wouldn’t come today."
Han Jiaoyan replied with a smile, "Didn’t I come? And I’ve brought two friends along; you don’t mind, do you?"
Dong Yue glanced at Wu Bin, her expression suddenly becoming meaningful.
"Oh, I know, this must be the legendary ’Crispy Skin’ college student, Wu Bin, right?"
Dong Yue extended her hand to Wu Bin.
"Wu Bin, nice to meet you for the first time. I’m Dong Yue, Jiaoyan’s close best friend."
Wu Bin had originally thought that heiresses usually had weird tempers and might be difficult to get along with.
But seeing Dong Yue actively greeting him, Wu Bin realized that he had been wrong.
Wu Bin extended his hand and shook hands with Dong Yue.
And that gesture caught the attention of the others around them.
"Who is that man? Dong Yue is actually taking the initiative to shake hands with him?"
"I don’t know, I’ve never seen him before, could he be a young master from some local family?"
"Dream on, young master. Look at the clothes he’s wearing, street stall stuff; that whole outfit couldn’t cost more than two hundred bucks, he must be just an ordinary person."
The people around were all very curious about Wu Bin’s identity.
Wu Bin was handsome with very fair skin, indeed looking like a pampered young master.
But unfortunately, Wu Bin’s clothes weren’t up to par, clearly marking him as not one of their circle.
What made everyone even more puzzled was, how did an ordinary person like Wu Bin qualify to attend Dong Yue’s birthday banquet?
After exchanging a few words with Wu Bin, Dong Yue excitedly linked arms with Han Jiaoyan and led her toward the villa.
"Jiaoyan, I’m so happy you could come to my birthday party."
"Did you prepare a gift for me?"
Han Jiaoyan patted her handbag and said, "Of course, I did. It’s not worth much, though, and I’m afraid you won’t like it."
Dong Yue hummed.
"Are you mocking me? Do you think I, Dong Yue, only care about money?"
"As long as the gift is from you, I like it. Whether it’s expensive or not doesn’t matter."
"Hurry up and bring out the gift; let me see what it is." 𝚗ovp𝚞b.𝚌om
After entering the living room, the two found a couch and sat down.
It was evident that their relationship was really good; Dong Yue always actively looked for topics to chat with Han Jiaoyan about, while Han Jiaoyan mostly just listened quietly.
Wu Bin thought such a birthday party was quite boring.
Even though the whole villa was very luxurious, he didn’t know anyone there.
Wu Bin also didn’t know if these wealthy people had any particular rules or taboos, so he could only sit on another sofa playing with his phone.
It was at this moment that Zhu Ling suddenly tugged on Wu Bin’s sleeve.
"Brother, there’s food over there; can I eat it?"
Wu Bin looked and sure enough, there was a buffet area not far off.
And the food at the buffet was quite lavish, with all kinds of lobster, crab, and the like; there were also barbecue, fried rice, fruits, steak, and such.
Seeing Zhu Ling drooling with envy, Wu Bin turned to Dong Yue and asked, "Miss Dong, is the food over there free to eat?"
Upon hearing Wu Bin’s question, Dong Yue was stunned.
But she quickly recovered and hurriedly said to Wu Bin with a smile, "Yes, the food over there is all free to eat. If you’re hungry, you can go and have your meal without being shy."
With Dong Yue’s words, Wu Bin was immediately reassured.
He walked over there with Zhu Ling.
Just as Zhu Ling was about to dig in directly, Wu Bin stopped her.
"Are you out of your mind? You use a plate when you eat; this is a high-end villa, try to maintain some image."
Zhu Ling was not convinced.
"If it had been in the past, you would all have to kneel and serve me while I eat!"
Wu Bin couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
"You’re right; in the past, it indeed might have been like that, but things are different now," he said.
"If you want to eat, do as I say and be civilized."
Zhu Ling knew times had changed; she huffed and obediently followed Wu Bin’s example, picking up a plate and chopsticks to eat from the buffet.
Wu Bin didn’t really have much of an appetite; after all, he was mainly carrying the plate to supervise Zhu Ling to prevent her from doing anything too bizarre.
Zhu Ling, on the other hand, couldn’t care less; she kept stuffing her mouth with food while excitedly waving at Wu Bin.
"Brother, come and eat. The food here is too delicious!"
"Look at these shrimps; they’re still alive. They’re fresh!"
Zhu Ling had never seen drunken shrimp before, and she didn’t care about any ladylike image; she just picked up a small pot of drunken shrimp and gobbled them down.
For the Dragon Clan, live creatures were their favorite food.
But humans usually ate cooked food.
Although Zhu Ling thought cooked food was also pretty good, in terms of freshness, live creatures were better.
People around were looking at Zhu Ling with bewildered eyes.
"My goodness, those were drunken shrimp, and she ate them all by herself?"
"She even drank the broth; didn’t she find it disgusting?"
"So uncouth, whose family does she belong to?"
Standing to the side, Wu Bin felt a headache coming on.
He had only looked away for a moment, and Zhu Ling had already started eating in such a wild manner.
If he let her continue like this, they were likely to be kicked out.
Just as Wu Bin was about to pull Zhu Ling away, a piercing voice came from the side.
