Chapter 415: Chapter 1: The Evil Youth
Qingyang Town was less than a hundred li away from the renowned Ancient Force, Qingyang Sect—it was the last resting place before reaching the sect.
Qingyang Sect was nestled among the mountains on the border between East County Divine Land and Beiman Great Wilderness. It was rumored that there was a Dragon Vein there, and Qingyang Sect was situated right in the middle of it. The powerful Dragon Vein, gathering the Qi Luck of Heaven and Earth, had allowed the sect to inherit its teachings for a hundred thousand years without decay.
Lin Feng and Fire Kirin arrived in Qingyang Town.
...
Lin Feng came here to fulfill a promise, and he had never forgotten the words of Zixiao before he died.
Zixiao had a younger sister who was also in Qingyang Sect.
Zixiao and his sister had depended solely on each other since they were young, and before he died, his only concern was for his sister.
Thinking of Zixiao, Lin Feng sighed.
The three people who were most likely to have killed Zixiao were Qin Mubai, Jin Yichen, and Master Daoo...
Qin Mubai and Jin Yichen were too powerful, and Lin Feng was currently unable to do anything about them. He couldn’t find any leads on them, and Master Daoo had already disappeared without a trace.
Qingyang Town was bustling with activity, with people coming and going. Many people were heading to Qingyang Sect to become disciples. Such individuals were often from noble families who wanted to join a great sect like Qingyang. Not only did this require talent, but also hefty financial backing to send their children there, because although talents in cultivation were never lacking, the slots available in the sect were limited.
Lin Feng and Fire Kirin stopped in front of a small restaurant and found a table.
"Big brother, what would you like to eat?" a four or five-year-old girl approached them, her large eyes staring up at Lin Feng.
The little girl was naive and adorable, holding a menu in her hands.
Though young, she was already very sensible, helping her grandfather and sister.
"What a lovely little girl. Tell me, what is your name?" Lin Feng asked with a smile.
The little girl grinned sweetly and said, "My name is Little Yunyun, and I’m five years old this year."
Fire Kirin also smiled. Indeed, the little girl was clever, sensible, and likable. Those pure, clear eyes without a trace of impurity could calm even the most restless hearts.
Lin Feng smiled and said, "Let big brother see your menu."
"Okay." Little Yunyun nodded, handed over the menu, and then naively said, "Big brother, could you order an extra dish?"
"Why is that?" Lin Feng smiled as he looked at Little Yunyun.
"Because Little Yunyun’s grandpa gets very tired every day. If big brother orders an extra dish, then grandpa can finish work earlier, and he won’t be so tired."
Little Yunyun’s hopeful gaze fixed on Lin Feng.
"What a well-mannered and understanding child," Lin Feng said, filled with tenderness as he patted Little Yunyun’s head.
He glanced at the menu, which was quite simple and featured about twenty dishes, all fairly cheap. This was a small restaurant, not a big or fancy one, so prices weren’t high, and most of the patrons were ordinary people.
"Order everything," Fire Kirin whispered. It was clear that Fire Kirin liked Little Yunyun a lot. Of course, Fire Kirin spoke softly so that Little Yunyun wouldn’t hear and get scared.
"How about we have one of each?" Lin Feng asked Little Yunyun with a smile.
"Yes!" Little Yunyun nodded excitedly and said, "Thank you, big brother!"
She scampered toward the inside of the house, her little legs carrying her joyously.
Soon, hot dishes were served by Little Yunyun’s sister, a girl so stunning that Lin Feng was taken aback. Although she was only about thirteen or fourteen years old, she was extraordinarily beautiful, breathtakingly so. As the girl appeared, many people looked her way, their eyes filled with amazement.
In the distance, a group of over twenty people rode exotic beasts past the restaurant, and a servant boy pointed their way, "Young master, look."
Riding a Black Flame Beast was a young master who looked to be around twenty years old, his gaze struck with astonishment upon seeing the girl.
"This wretched place actually has such an exquisite beauty," the young master waved his hand, and a group of people headed toward the small diner.
"Big brother, this is my sister," Little Yunyun said with an innocent smile, looking up.
"Big sister, this big brother is really nice, he ordered all the dishes," Little Yunyun told her sister, pulling at her clothes.
"Sweetie, don’t disturb the big brother while he’s eating," the girl named Rou’er, not very old but already slender and graceful, said.
"It’s fine, I really like Little Yunyun," Lin Feng smiled.
"Here comes someone."
At that moment, voices came from a nearby table as a group approached, driving out guests from several tables and taking their seats.
Some showed discontent, but their companions restrained them.
"That’s a young master from the Qingyang Sect," a companion explained.
Many faces abruptly changed.
As an ancient sect, the Qingyang Sect’s power was vast, and naturally, no one dared to provoke them.
"Big brother, what would you like to eat?"
Little Yunyun approached, taking small steps and asked innocently.
"Wow, this little girl is young but quite delightful,"
The young master pinched Little Yunyun’s cute cheek.
Her delicately carved face was pinched red, and although it hurt, she endured it, her big eyes brimming with tears. Being so young and pinched painfully, she was already a bit scared, but thinking of her grandfather’s daily hardships, Little Yunyun mustered her courage to ask, "Big brother, would you like something to eat?"
"Ha ha, that must be your sister, let her come over," the young master said with a laugh.
Little Yunyun, somewhat scared, quickly went back and then came over with Rou’er.
"What would you like to eat, young master?" Rou’er asked cautiously, clearly seeing that these people were not of good character.
The young master’s eyes filled with wickedness, he grabbed Rou’er by the wrist and pulled her towards himself.
The young master laughed and said, "The young master has taken a liking to you, this is the fortune you’ve cultivated in your past life."
"You... let go of me right now."
Rou’er’s pretty face instantly turned pale as she struggled fiercely.
But without any cultivation, how could she possibly break free?
Around the room, many people pointed and talked, some even thought of playing the hero to save her, but remembering the identity of the young master and his group, they held back their actions; dealing with people from the Qingyang Sect in their territory was akin to seeking death.
"What are you looking at? Get lost," a guardian next to the young master called out arrogantly.
"Let go of my sister, you big bad guy, let her go," Little Yunyun shouted, trying to push the young master.
"Get lost!" The young master kicked Little Yunyun, sending her flying three or four meters. 𝖓𝔬𝔳𝔭𝔲𝔟.𝖈𝖔𝔪
Thud.
Little Yunyun fell hard on the ground, her forehead immediately splitting open, and blood flowed down her delicately carved face.
