"Hold on tight!"

Lin Xian shouted into the responder, his eyes bloodshot as he pushed his Mechanical Heart to its limit.

The Gemini 11R Nuclear Electric Locomotive surged forward, its immense thrust combined with the Infinite Train's remaining engine power, accelerating through the ascending tunnel.

The tunnel’s cold wind howled, and the train plunged into yet another sealed passage.

But the Deep Abyss Behemoth wasn’t about to let its prey escape. A thunderous tremor shook the tunnel walls—a sign that something massive was pursuing them.

Lin Xian’s heart pounded. No one knew if, in the next moment, the ceiling would collapse and bury them all deep beneath Underground City No. 9, turning them into nothing more than blood offerings for the abyssal horror.

KIKI gritted her teeth and clung to Lin Xian’s arm, her entire body tense.

ROOOOAAAAARRRR!!!

A deafening, earth-shaking roar erupted, sending tremors through the underground.

Then, the groundquake began—rocks and debris exploded into the air.

Lin Xian knew what that meant.

The Deep Abyss Behemoth had arrived.

At Level 62, a newly constructed private academy stood eerily silent. Desks were overturned, scattered school supplies littered the floor. In the hallways, zombies mindlessly roamed, aimlessly crashing into walls.

At Level 56, the residential district was a scene of eerie stillness. A small wind chime, once hung at a doorway for good luck, now swayed wildly in the tremors.

In the commercial district, the streets were dead silent. Neon lights and storefront signs flickered in the darkness.

BOOM!

At Level 70’s core, a brilliant blue light burst forth.

A blinding white-hot explosion ignited, detonating the pre-installed explosives across ten floors. Heat and shockwaves ripped through the underground levels, vaporizing every zombie and eerie entity in an instant.

But with the underground city’s structure already compromised, the collapse began at Level 65.

The once-sealed isolation walls crumbled, unleashing a chain reaction like toppling dominoes.

The blinding white explosion expanded, racing toward the abyss below.

BOOM!

The ground shuddered violently—the earth itself was collapsing!

A massive fireball and shockwave engulfed the Deep Abyss Behemoth, sending it plummeting into the pit.

From the responder, Chen Sixuan’s voice came through.

Inside the Infinite Train’s cockpit, she stared out the viewport, watching the destruction unfold.

Snow and dust rained down.

Lin Xian could finally see the surface beyond the tunnel—they had broken through to the outside world.

Behind them, the underground city was disintegrating into the abyss.

RUMBLE…

As the tremors gradually faded, the Infinite Train surged onto the GF4 Terminal platform—then suddenly stopped.

"The collapse might trigger a chain reaction—do you still have time to grab those two Kor research carriages?"

Ding Junyi sounded puzzled, seeing that Lin Xian had brought the train to a halt instead of escaping immediately.

"Shouldn't we be running for our lives right now?"

"Forget your damn theories," Lin Xian shot back.

He quickly disengaged the train’s coupling mechanism and spoke into the responder.

"Chen Sixuan! Prepare to turn the train around!"

Outside, the blizzard had already blanketed the snowfields with over a meter of thick snow. The outer passage was completely blocked—clogged with abandoned vehicles and swarms of zombies.

If they didn’t rotate the train, the Infinite Train, lacking an Icebreaker Shield, would derail the moment it hit an obstacle.

Lin Xian made a split-second decision—turn the train first!

Chen Sixuan immediately understood his intention.

The snowfield had only a single-track route—if they tried to barrel forward with the two flatbed trailers, a chain derailment was inevitable.

"I got it!" she responded, wasting no time.

Ding Junyi frowned but soon realized Lin Xian wasn’t stopping to grab the research carriages—he had another plan in mind.

RUMBLE!

The ground continued shaking, but Lin Xian acted quickly.

With the help of Chen Sixuan and KIKI, they utilized the dual-track system at the station to rotate the train’s orientation.

The Whale 03E Heavy Gas Turbine Locomotive, equipped with its Icebreaker Shield, remained at the front, while the Gemini 11R Nuclear Electric Locomotive was repositioned at the rear.

At the same time, Lin Xian located the two Kor research carriages.

Rather than wasting time with delicate maneuvering, he brutally forced the coupling hooks into place, overrode the circuit locks, and disabled the wheel locks.

With everything secured, he immediately restarted the train—no hesitation.

Lin Xian and KIKI jumped back onto the Infinite Train, reigniting its engines.

Without a second wasted, they gunned it toward the station exit.

"No time to open the gates—just crash through!"

BAAAAM!

Outside the station’s iron fence gates, thousands of zombies screeched and moaned, drawn toward the thunderous noise.

The earthquake tore open fissures, causing sections of the perimeter wall to collapse.

Like a swarm of locusts, countless zombies surged forward, filling the night!

WHOOOOSH!

The gas turbines roared, and the 290-megawatt nuclear locomotive dragged the Infinite Train forward.

Like a sword slicing through darkness, the train plowed straight through the undead horde, unstoppable.

Behind them, the billion-dollar underground city collapsed, dragging hundreds of meters of hollowed-out earth into the abyss.

A massive cloud of smoke and dust rose into the night sky, stretching beyond the horizon of the snowfield.
