Within Planetary System Event Hall #11028
If anyone were to ask him, Chaos would say that he's an incredibly simple person.
Incredibly simple.
He has a simple life as a Primordial where he is practically a god in the eyes of others. A simple past of growing stronger than any other single individual in the universe. And a simple name.
Or at least, he thinks he has a simple name.
He actually can't remember his real name other than the name that came with his Primordial Title. Chaos.
And yet, not once in his entire simple life has he ever felt so proud. Ever felt so excited. As he stands within the large bleachers of the Planetary System Event Hall and sees the audience going crazy at the sight of his daughter appearing amongst the ruined temple-like structure that will serve as this hall's battlefield.
He, of course, ignores anyone else appearing with her and the enemies. Because they don't exist in his mind.
During Chaos's long, extremely long, incredibly long, and relatively unknown in length since he may or may not have forgotten life, Chaos has never genuinely cared for another person. Teasing Etheria notwithstanding.
Except for now.
And it's all thanks to his adorable, precious little daughter.
He shouts out a loud cheer amidst the billions of other cheers resounding around the stadium when his daughter raises her hand and waves at the audience without bothering to keep her eyes closed. Which he quickly finds from within her own mind to be because she doesn't care if her eyes hurt anyone in this place since they'll be healed again anyways.
"And here we have it folks!!! The Planetary Official System Event we've all been waiting for!!!!" the MC shouts as a floating vampire appears at the center of the stadium before flying down towards Ashley's team without hesitation. "The first Planetary Official System Event of the newly initiated world known as Val! Or as many people know it, the home of the Queen of Destruction, the Princess of Chaos, Ashleeeeeyy Sinclaiiiir Chaoooooooossss!!!"
The crowd goes wild at his words, and Chaos helps chip in himself with a wide grin on his clone's face. The Primordial feeling more than a little proud at how popular his beloved daughter is.
Although if a man ever tries to touch her he'll be sending them to their own personal little torture chamber.
Good thing she doesn't have any interest in romance…
Chaos lets out a sigh at that thought.
The Primordial glances at a screen to his side when he gets a notification from the System. One that he set as a little reminder for whenever someone new gets that little skeletal horse. Or rather, skeletal creature, since it's not always a horse anymore.
From what the screen tells him, the bet the person ended up losing revolving around her was whether or not she would participate in the Planetary Official System Event. Which is an easy roundabout way to get rid of Lucy in his eyes.
After all, there is no winning or losing for her. Just a matter of if she participates or not.
And it's pretty much obvious to everyone that she would participate.
So betting that she wouldn't was an easy way to get rid of Lucy. Leaving some random person out in the universe betting on something else entirely to get stuck with the cursed skeleton instead.
And since Chaos is in such a lovely mood, he goes ahead and throws another curse onto the thing. Because he feels like it.
Now anyone who has Lucy in their possession will always have an itchy inside of their throat. In a place they can't easily scratch.
Chaos gives a firm nod of his head as he sees the forums online buzzing about Ashley with an occasional mention of the new curse on Lucy. Then he returns his attention to the center of the stadium where Ashley is standing while staring at the vampire who keeps falling apart and being put back together under her vision. Albeit slowly since his level is a lot higher than hers.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
The MC asks her one question after another, but Ashley only barely answers each of them. And generally only with a yes, a no, or a nod or shake of her head.
But after he pushes his luck a little too far by asking too many questions, she turns on her No Interviews feature to shut him up. At which point he moves over to the team from one of the other worlds that is currently appearing within the stadium.
Only for said team to immediately look more than a little despondent at the sight of Ashley and her team of all Successors.
Understandable.
Chaos does feel some surprise though when he sees a Successor of Sin amongst the enemy team's numbers. Since he really wasn't expecting to see another so quickly.
After all, unlike the individual Official System Events, planets can't pick and choose who they are fighting in the Planetary Official System Events. So this was completely random.
And Chaos can clearly tell that the man is not happy with his luck.
Chaos's smile grows wider as he thinks about the reward Ashley will get from this Planetary Official System Event. One that will be great enough to let her unlock the skill she needs to no longer destroy everything she sees.
Making it so that she'll be able to safely see again without relying on that Enhanced Perception skill.
Also, Chaos finds it amusing to see the MC constantly asking the enemy team questions about how they feel going against a team of all Successors. Or how they feel about going against Ashley.
The MC even mentions the previous Successor of Sin's loss against her and asks this Successor of Sin how he plans to win.
And his answer makes Chaos laugh out loud. Because all he does is turn on his No Interviews feature. Following which the MC moves on to question some of the other teams that are now appearing for the Team Challenge Tournament.
None of whom seem pleased about Ashley's appearance here either.
This will be amusing.
Ashley
Well this is looking rather boring. All of the other teams' competitors are Class D, at the very least, but they're lower level in Class D.
Except for the Successor of Sin, who is almost at the same level as me. And their team leaders for the most part, who seem to at least be in the 200s in level.
At a glance, it doesn't even look like I'll need to participate at all.
Not that I'll sit this out though. Because the reward for winning is boosted by bonuses depending on how each participant contributed to the win.
And we already decided our roster, with me going first.
After all, slaughtering their entire team personally is the best way to get as many Skill Points from this as possible. 𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒑𝒖𝒃.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Although there is one surprising team that has no Successors but has a team leader who is almost at the level cap of Class D. At level 371.
"And now that the interviews are over with, let's bring up the rules of this lovely Planetary Official System Event!" the MC exclaims with a wide grin on his face. Almost like the man had won the lottery or something.
Although I guess him managing to be the MC for my game along with a bunch of other Successors would probably be akin to winning the lottery for him.
Anyways, I glance up when the description of the event appears above the ruined temple battlefield and ring we're on.
Team Challenge Tournament
Description: This Team Challenge Tournament will pit each team of 5 denizens in a tournament against other teams of 5 denizens from other worlds in back-to-back one-on-one duels with each team alternating in who challenges who, and letting each member of the teams fight as many times as they please. Each team will be placed in a bracket to face off against one of the other teams before trying to move their way up to the final round of the tournament to claim the victory. And since this is a Class D Planetary Official System Event, all slain users will revive after the tournament to spare the strongest individuals of our recently initialized worlds.
Team Count: 8/8
Rules: Each team may put up one user from their team as the current fighter, and that fighter will continue fighting until they either back out or are killed. If a user on a team is killed during the tournament, they will be allowed to fight again in the next round of the tournament should their team win their current match.
Victory Condition: The team that wins the tournament wins the event.
Rewards: Every user slain grants the winner 25 Skill Points. First place team receives an additional 1000 Skill Points per team member. Second place team receives an additional 500 Skill Points per team member. The player with the most kills during the tournament shall be granted the MVP title for the Planetary Official System Event and shall receive 5000 Skill Points.
Planetary Rewards: The planet that achieves victory in this match shall be granted one new Spire and a single free level given to every user of the planet.
I blink in surprise at those Planetary Rewards. Only for my attention to return to the MVP title reward.
Yep. With the Skill Points from this event, I will be able to afford the skill.
So it's time to start the slaughter and show these people why I'm called the Queen of Destruction.
And more importantly, to get some more Skill Points.
