“I’m getting a bit hungry now, Jian Ran, you don’t mind, do you?”
Having said that, Gu Mochen’s gaze pointedly shifted to the lunchbox in front of Jian Ran.

Jian Ran inwardly groaned, seeing the man reach out with his large hand, she quickly pressed her small hand onto her own lunchbox, determined to defend it to the death.

Gu Mochen’s lips curled up slightly, and then his hand came to rest on Jian Ran’s little fingers.

The back of her hand felt the man’s scorching palm, hot enough to startle her, and Jian Ran quickly withdrew her small hand.
The man’s gaze was deep and knowing, like the sea, causing her to feel uneasy all over.
Jian Ran mentally cursed Gu Mochen as scum, lamenting over pinching pennies and fearing hunger, she had only brought one meal, and now Gu Mochen actually wanted to snatch it from her.

Gu Mochen’s magnetic voice sounded overhead, and Jian Ran squeezed a wry smile onto her lips.
“How could I be?

Gu, you are my bread and butter, it’s what I should do…
please, go ahead and eat.”
Jian Ran watched as her beloved lunchbox was taken away by Gu Mochen, feeling nothing but heartache.
Was such an obvious problem even worth asking?

Gu Mochen watched Jian Ran with a mournful expression, the corners of his mouth subtly curling up; the little miss said it didn’t matter, but in her heart, she probably cursed him to smithereens.
“Alright, I’ll just eat it while it’s hot.”
Having said that, Gu Mochen casually rolled up his sleeves and promptly sat down in front of Jian Ran’s desk.

Gu Mochen was definitely doing this on purpose.

After taking a bite of beef, Gu Mochen’s dark eyes twinkled with appreciation.
Jian Ran’s cooking was rich yet not greasy, it had been a long time since he last had such delicious food, and his appetite was great.
Jian Ran watched the man elegantly eat the lunch she had meticulously prepared, feeling a bitter taste in her heart, unable to do anything but stare.
Gu Mochen was undoubtedly a man with good looks; under normal circumstances, the sight of Gu Mochen dining so gracefully would enchant many women.
But now, Jian Ran truly felt heartbroken.
After a moment, Secretary Zhou came in with a takeaway box from Blue Sky Building.

Gu, here is your lunch…”
“Mm, just leave it there.”

Secretary Zhou was full of surprise, knowing Gu Mochen’s famous fastidiousness.
And since when did he eat random lunchboxes so casually?
It appeared to be Miss Jian’s lunchbox.

Gu, since your takeaway has arrived, maybe you could stop eating my boxed lunch?
The cafeteria has closed, and I have nothing to eat.”
She could eat from the part of Gu Mochen’s food that he hadn’t touched, thus barely solving her hunger problem.
When Gu Mochen heard Jian Ran’s words, his eyebrows lifted.
“I have already eaten from this meal.
It’s got my saliva on it.
Jian Ran, are you saying you want to have an indirect kiss with me?”
