Chapter 617: Chapter 615 I Am the Magician

Chapter 617: Chapter 615 I Am the Magician

“I’m tired, dare to touch me and I’ll take your life!” Sally said and laid back down to sleep.

“You cheap tramp! You need to be disciplined! Boss will give you the whip.” The flunky obsequiously passed over the disciplinary whip.

Xi Seno took it, and backhandedly struck him instead, “Scram!”

The flunky was stupefied from the hit but instinctively cowered and admitted fault, “Yes, yes, Boss hits well! Just the right cure for itchy skin, feels good now.”

Xi Seno discarded the whip, and a few of them continued playing cards…

Sally lay in the blanket and soon fell asleep.

Xi Seno’s bedding was inside, if he wanted to sleep, he would have to get around Sally.

He lifted his hand intending to pull her, but paused as he looked at her sleeping face.

He had never seen an angel, but if he were to say Sally was an angel, he would believe it.

The hand that wanted to touch her instinctively recoiled as if burned. 𝚗ovp𝚞b.𝚌om

“Boss?”

“You go sleep in Eli’s bed.”

The flunky who was whipped eagerly called out, “Come over, come over, let’s watch the Boss discipline the ‘Little Princess’!”

However, Xi Seno had no intention of touching Sally and instead went up to the top bunk to sleep.

Across the two bunk beds, three flunkies, six eyes, watched as the two of them slept soundly, with no intention of giving them any kind of show.

“What’s going on?”

“Who knows.”

“Did the Boss change his ways?”

“I’m tired, I’m going to sleep too.”

“I’ll wait a bit longer.”

But as they waited, everyone fell asleep.

Cell 14 unexpectedly turned in early for lights out. Surrounding cells that were waiting to ‘watch a show,’ some holding paper with cigarettes in their mouths, the cigarettes burnt out, even the stock ran out, and the papers… remained unused.

“XXX, Xi Seno is finished!”

Sally knew Xi Seno had gone out in the middle of the night and returned injured.

The strong scent of blood was unpleasant to her, so she used an Isolation Talisman to separate herself and the space around her.

The next day, the prisoners on the opposite bunk went off to work.

Sally slept in without getting up, Xi Seno was injured and didn’t get up either.

And the prison guard just glanced at them and left without a word.

In the eyes of the guard, thinking Sally wasn’t up, one would assume ‘Little Princess’ was once again spoiled by Xi Seno… to the point she couldn’t get out of bed. And as for Xi Seno doing private work for the Prison Warden, the guards knew about it too.

Especially since he returned injured in the middle of the night, the prison doctor had to work overtime to remove four bullets from him, and he certainly couldn’t get up now.

After Sally had had enough sleep, she got up and made the bed neatly.

When she looked up, she met Xi Seno’s piercing gaze.

“I’m going to buy some food, what do you want?” There is a supermarket for prisoners in Heizhou Prison, but the goods are quite basic, limited mostly to hygiene products and food. Of course, as long as you have enough money and the items you want aren’t dangerous, the supermarket can also arrange to deliver them inside.

Xi Seno said, “You are not Wu Zheyu.”

Sally slightly curved her lips, reverting to her original appearance, “Exactly, I’m in disguise. The real Wu Zheyu has already been released.”

Observing Sally, Xi Seno didn’t blink for a long while.

“How did you do it?”

“I’m a magician, what I used just now was magic,” Sally said with one hand on her hip, her exquisite yet sensuous curves evident.

Xi Seno wanted to say something, but the moment he moved, he pulled at his wound and let out a pained hiss.

Sally said, “I can help you with your injury, but you need to do me a favor.”

Xi Seno chuckled lightly, clearly not believing her, “If it’s about Wu Zheyu’s escape from prison…”

“It’s not that, and even if you talked, do you think they would believe you or believe me?” Sally said as she changed back to Wu Zheyu’s appearance.

Xi Seno stared intently at her, but indeed, he could not spot any discrepancies.

“You’ve been poisoned. Although the doctor removed the bullet, there’s something wrong with the medicine you were injected with. Your bleeding hasn’t completely stopped, has it?”

“…How did you know?”

“I’m a Magician,” she retorted the more he disbelieved, using it as her excuse.

“What do you want me to do?” Xi Seno asked.

“I want to investigate someone, all their movements inside the prison.”

“Can’t you just check the surveillance? Aren’t you a Magician?”

“There are some things that surveillance can’t pick up.” Sally had Xiaomei trace Linai’s movements, but it seemed Linai knew about Xiaomei’s abilities. He swapped his own timeline with a separate entity’s elsewhere. If traced, only the separate entity’s movements would be found; his own were only present up to the moment before his death.

“Who are you looking for?” Xi Seno asked.

Sally raised her hand, and an Angel’s Blessing Talisman adhered to Xi Seno’s body, “This is a Magic Talisman.”

Xi Seno scoffed lightly… but soon, he felt the pain from his gunshot wound lessen significantly, and the suffocating feeling that had gripped his breath eased.

“Internal injuries are healed; external wounds look a bit frightening but aren’t fatal, just putting on a show for those who hurt you.” Sally withdrew the Angel’s Blessing Talisman, “The person I’m looking for is named Black.”

“Black,” Xi Seno looked at her, “what, have you fallen for him at first sight? Want to dig deep and find out if he’s reliable or not?”

“Heh!” Sally let out a cold laugh.

Xi Seno lifted his hand to slap his mouth, “Not funny.”

“No need to dig that deep. I just need to know all his movements after entering prison, who he met, and what he did,” Sally said, looking at him.

“Once the trade is over, you’re leaving the prison?” Xi Seno asked.

“Of course,” Sally replied.

“Seven days,” Xi Seno responded.

“I’ll wait for the good news,” Sally yawned and lay down again.

Xi Seno got up and got off the bed.

“What are you going to do?” Sally asked.

“What do you want to eat? I’ll go buy it for you,” Xi Seno said.

Sally closed her eyes, “Milk, bread, and a super sweet fruit.”

Xi Seno knocked on the cell door.

The jailer came over and unlocked the door for him.

“I’m going to the supermarket,” Xi Seno said.

“Go ahead,” the jailer looked at the bloodstains still wet on his clothes, “I suggest you stop by the infirmary.”

“Then it might take a bit longer,” Xi Seno replied.

“One hour,” the jailer responded.

Xi Seno bought what Sally requested from the supermarket, then, instead of going to the infirmary, he entered the factory…

An hour later, Xi Seno returned, his bandages freshened up.

The jailer watched him from a distance as he went back to the cell. Once he was inside, he remotely locked the door.

Sally really disliked the sound of the door locking, so she used her Spiritual Power to break the lock, feeling much more comfortable.

Xi Seno looked at the cell door but said nothing, handing her the bag of food, “What you wanted.”

Sally opened it to find jam bread, two bottles of milk, and a very large orange.

She tossed him a bottle of milk, “Can’t finish it.”

Xi Seno caught it, tore open the seal, and took a sip, “I’ve asked someone to look into it, will notify you as soon as there’s news.”

“Okay,” Sally picked up the large orange.

With force, she peeled it; one centimeter thick, no pulp to be seen!

Xi Seno: “…”

Silently, he took the orange away, and soon returned with a big bag of oranges and a bag of grapes that looked sweet to the eye.

Sally smiled.
