Chapter 753: Chapter 751: Watching the Palace Intrigue Drama from the Beam

Chapter 753: Chapter 751: Watching the Palace Intrigue Drama from the Beam

Little Fengning took Sally’s hand, looked up at her, and said, “Mother, Father said Dad isn’t in the Beast World, so is it possible he’s in the Dark World Continent?”

“Why would he go there?” Sally asked in surprise.

“I think,” the son reasoned, “Dad must be in a place he has been before where he can’t easily return. So, it’s very likely he asked Father to help him and send him to the Dark World Continent. It’s a game world, and I know a place there that’s incredibly harsh but perfect for cultivation.”

“What place?” Sally thought for a moment, then asked, “Xiaomei, is there such a place in the Dark World Continent?”

“Yes, there is. Xiaomei has created a dimensional world using the time ratio data from the System World and the Beast World,” replied Xiaomei.

“Make way—clear the way—” Suddenly, a stern voice came from behind Sally.

Sally instinctively hugged Little Fengning into her arms and then dodged to the side of the road.

A troop of cavalry clad in black armor thundered past, paying no heed to those they forced to scramble, their vegetables and fruit forgotten and trampled under the horses’ hooves.

Sally frowned; she recognized these knights as Dongfang Yi’s Dark Dragon Guard.

Why are they crashing through the streets like this? Could something big have happened?

“Son, do you want to go see what the commotion is about?” Sally said to Little Fengning, knowing that since Heavenly Dao’s influence was around Dongfang Yi, it was best to keep an eye on him.

But she was unclear on how exactly to help Heavenly Dao with its Tribulation. Could it really be as Jian suggested, that the reincarnated Heavenly Dao needed to be sacrificed, piece by piece?

That seemed implausible.

However, Jian hadn’t left her completely in the dark.

Sacrifice signified death.

Which meant that the reincarnation of Heavenly Dao required death to proceed.

But how and when to die would surely need the right moment.

“Mother, I want to go see Dad,” Little Fengning said, holding Sally’s hand.

Sally nodded, “Alright, we’ll go to the Dark World Continent tomorrow, but today we continue to investigate Heavenly Dao’s situation.”

“Thank you, Mother.” Little Fengning smiled happily.

Sally squatted down to look at Little Fengning, “It’s not that Mother isn’t worried about your father, but your father has refused Mother’s help because he wants to take his revenge with his own power.” n𝚘𝚟pub.𝚌o𝚖

“I can help Dad,” said Little Fengning.

Continuing their walk while holding his hand, Sally said, “The act of revenge itself can’t undo anything, because the harm suffered has already become an irreparable past. However, revenge can heal your father’s psyche.”

Reflecting on this, Little Fengning said, “So Mother means, whether the Demon God is alive or dead isn’t important right now, is it?”

“It’s not that it’s unimportant. Being alive allows your father to vent his fury. If dead, that bottled up fury would be so uncomfortable.”

“I understand now,” the son replied.

“Yes. And this fury, if it can become a motivator for your father’s cultivation, that too would be a good thing,” Sally added, indeed worried for Welly, but she knew some matters needed to be resolved alone. Interference might have the opposite effect.

“So are we still going to find Dad?” asked Little Fengning.

“Of course,” Sally smiled: “I’ll take you there for fun. Anyway, none of these places need us. Go to the Divine Realm, and Uncle Qing will chase us away. In the Immortal Realm, Uncle Zi and Uncle Fal will do the same. Even in the Human Realm—no! There is something we can do… we can look for the other parts of the Nine Demons Armor.”

“The Nine Demons Armor,” Little Fengning thought, “Is it the one owned by the Demon Lord?”

“Yes. The Demon Lord scattered the Nine Demons Armor, and even though I don’t know why he did that, I’ve already acquired two parts. I want to collect the rest and then give them to your father. When he confronts the Demon God, he’ll be able to wear them.”

Since the Demon God had lived for so long, its strength was certainly not something Welly could match with just a short period of cultivation. If internal strength was lacking, then external aid would compensate.

Little Fengning nodded vigorously, “Yeah! We can ask Eleventh Brother for help.”

“That’s right, Little Shiyi is particularly good at finding treasures,” Sally smiled.

The mother and son chatted as they arrived under the red walls of the Chu Dynasty Imperial Palace.

Sally transformed back into her Beast Body, a little white mouse, and Little Fengning also turned into a little blue mouse, following behind Sally. They teleported into the Imperial Palace.

The palace guard was extremely strict.

On Sally’s System Map, she could see Imperial Guards in yellow armor and Dark Dragon Guards everywhere, catching a lot of palace maids and eunuchs, and also several concubines dressed in fine silk and satin.

“Son, it’s like a court drama! Too bad we’ve only caught the tail end of it,” Sally said somewhat regretfully.

“What’s a court drama?” Little Fengning asked.

Just as Sally was about to explain, a thought struck her, and she moved Xiaoqi out of the System Space, “What’s up, my dear daughter?”

Xiaoqi looked around, “Came out to chat with Mommy, how come Little Fengning brother also turned into a mouse?”

Little Fengning mysteriously replied, “Following Mommy to watch the court drama!”

Sally: “…”

Xiaoqi’s eyes suddenly turned into vertical pupils, excitedly saying, “I want to watch, I want to watch too!”

Sally knew she would be very interested because she particularly liked role-play games, including those set in royal courts.

“Alright, Mommy will take you to see the play.” Sally followed a safe route on the System Map towards Taixi Palace, where the Empress was.

Xiaoqi turned into a mouse the same size as Little Fengning. Her Beast Body was already the same size as Sally’s, so after shrinking, they looked even more like mother and daughter.

Looking back at her children, Sally found them increasingly amusing, “Come on, both of you hop onto Mommy’s back.”

The two little ones obediently lay on Sally’s back.

Sally teleported directly to Taixi Palace.

“May the Emperor show mercy and spare my maternal family!”

The Empress, pale-faced, knelt on the ground, her phoenix hairpin slipping from her head and falling to the floor, seemingly unnoticed.

On the Dragon Chair sat a man in bright yellow dragon robes, with handsome facial features and a regal demeanour, cold eyes as sharp as arrows piercing to the bone, causing onlookers to shiver.

Sally whispered to Xiaoqi, “Between him and your Father Emperor, who has more presence?”

“Father Emperor,” Xiaoqi replied without hesitation, “It’s a pity Father Emperor doesn’t have a harem, otherwise it would be very lively.”

“…” Sally patted her head, “That’s a great idea, Mommy will pass the message to your Father Emperor or your Dad when we get back!”

“Ahhh—no, no!” Xiaoqi pleaded, “Don’t tell Father Emperor, and not Dad either, Xiaoqi will get a spanking!”

“Hehe~ Having a harem would be so lively!”

“Xiaoqi is wrong,” Xiaoqi covered her face with her little paws.

Little Fengning said, “Mommy, the Emperor just glanced our way.”

The three of them lay on a beam in the palace, hard to spot due to their small size. Moreover, their voices were very soft. However, Xiaoqi had raised her voice a bit while pleading; could this Emperor have exceptionally good hearing?

Sally decided to test this Emperor Chu, “I know Dongfang Yi’s secret!”

Chu Duo immediately looked again in Sally’s direction, his eyes filled with probing.
