Chapter 690: Chapter 0690: I’m Not One to Stay
The dense arrows flew through the villa like a torrential downpour, whooshing by. Within moments, several people were struck and fell into pools of blood!
He Duoze, however, had grabbed He Sichan at the first sign of trouble and smashed through a window, carrying her out to safety!
Because Ye Xunhuan had been prepared beforehand, these arrows couldn’t harm him in the slightest.
Moreover, even if Ye Xunhuan were completely unguarded, could these arrows have wounded him?
It’s highly unlikely, considering the strength that Ye Xunhuan possesses!
In an instant, the military dagger in Ye Xunhuan’s hand became like a third arm to him, moving as fluidly as Moving Clouds, vividly alive!
After what seemed like an eternity, the barrage of arrows ceased, and the villa was left in even greater disarray than before, with corpses strewn all over the ground.
The masked man, deceived by He Duoze, had a frosty chill in his eyes, filled with a vengeful wrath like that of a malevolent ghost, his whole being radiated a fierce intent to kill.
"Find He Duoze for me!"
The man ordered coldly.
He Duoze was already gravely injured and, with He Sichan in tow, couldn’t have gotten far!
Ye Xunhuan glanced at the man but said nothing, following him out of the villa.
However, Ye Xunhuan was filled with curiosity, "Who exactly were these people?"
And what role was He Duoze playing?
Ye Xunhuan couldn’t believe that an ordinary man, a bona fide businessman, would be capable of setting up such a sophisticated trap, completely unforeseeable!
In fact, He Duoze hadn’t escaped far from the villa with He Sichan; not long after breaking out, they were captured by patrolling men outside the villa.
The moment the lead masked man saw He Duoze, his eyes immediately reddened, and he seized He Duoze.
"He Duoze, it seems you really are courting death, daring to scheme against me..."
He Duoze was gripped in the man’s hands, powerless to struggle free, just like a little chick.
He was unable to break free, but when He Duoze looked at the man, his face was filled with ferocity, "Pah..."
He Duoze spat directly in his face!
"Don’t think I don’t know, even if I hand over the item, you won’t let my daughter go!" He Duoze coldly said, "Since it’s death either way, why not take some with me!"
"You..."
"Though I don’t know who you are, you can dream on about getting that item," He Duoze said coldly. "Unless you promise to release my daughter, I’ll never give it to you, even in death!"
"Do you really think I wouldn’t harm your daughter?"
"You lay a finger on my daughter, and I swear, you’ll never get the item!"
"Let’s try," the man said coldly.
As his voice fell, he signaled with his eyes to his subordinates.
Next moment, one of his men immediately walked over to He Sichan and grabbed her into his arms.
He Sichan, as if greatly startled, began to struggle violently.
But her efforts were futile.
In that instant, He Sichan’s heart sank deep, her face overwhelmed with despair.
At that moment, He Duoze slowly closed his eyes; not because he was heartless, but because he knew full well that even if he surrendered the item, these beasts would never spare him and his daughter!
Ye Xunhuan could tell that He Duoze had already made up his mind and didn’t speak further, sighing softly, "Why must you force them so? Let the girl go, and they’ll give you the item, isn’t that better?"
As he spoke, Ye Xunhuan took off the mask from his face.
Upon seeing Ye Xunhuan, He Sichan’s face, previously ashen, immediately showed a flicker of excitement. Almost instinctively, she called out, "Ye Xunhuan..."
He Sichan had not anticipated that Ye Xunhuan had already arrived and that he had been mingling amongst these people.
She had indeed called Ye Xunhuan earlier, but she had no assurance whatsoever that he would come.
After all, she was not that familiar with Ye Xunhuan, having met him only thrice, and she had even used him before!
Now, seeing Ye Xunhuan before her filled He Sichan’s heart with overwhelming excitement.
As Ye Xunhuan’s sudden voice was heard, everyone’s gaze immediately fell on him, their eyes glittering with a bone-chilling coldness.
None of them had expected someone to have infiltrated their midst without them noticing at all.
In an instant, many of them began to break out in a cold sweat.
Unperturbed by the icy stares, Ye Xunhuan casually took out a cigarette, lit it, and took a leisurely drag.
"It’s you!"
The man holding He Duoze, upon seeing Ye Xunhuan, had his pupils constrict instantly, and a dense loathing filled his eyes.
It was as if he had encountered his nemesis, his eyes blood-red and murderous intent not hidden in the slightest, exploding forth with unprecedented ferocity.
"It seems you’ve knowingly walked into hell when heaven’s gates were open to you!"
Feeling the change in the man’s demeanor, Ye Xunhuan frowned slightly, "It seems you know me!"
"Of course, even if you turned to ashes, I would recognize you!" the man said through gritted teeth.
He looked as if Ye Xunhuan had stolen his wife or desecrated his ancestors’ graves!
This left Ye Xunhuan with a bemused helplessness—when had he made an enemy so bitter without any recollection of it?
"I guess there’s no need for introductions then!" said Ye Xunhuan lightly, "Well, I’ve slept with this woman, and I intend to take her with me!"
At Ye Xunhuan’s words, the man laughed as if he’d heard the greatest joke of the century, roaring with laughter.
"Ye Xunhuan, are you out of your goddamn mind thinking you can take her?" the man said ominously, "Today, none of you are getting away!"
"You think you can keep me here?" Ye Xunhuan couldn’t help but laugh, looking at the man with a grin, "I’d advise you not to try. I’m not one who stays put easily, and if you annoy me, the price you pay will be ’Samsara’!"
"Is that so?" the man snorted coldly, "Kill him!"
As soon as the man’s words fell, the others, as if following some command, immediately swung their sharp blades towards Ye Xunhuan.
However, in the next moment, Ye Xunhuan’s figure vanished from the spot. Under everyone’s watchful eyes, he disappeared as if he had never been there.
For a moment, the crowd looked as if they had seen a ghost, their eyes wide and faces full of shock.
In the next instant, a streak of white light, like lightning, suddenly flashed.
"Thud!"
The strike was as fast as lightning, and its force as thunderous as a storm.
A gleaming military spike, like a ghastly hand from hell, suddenly pierced one person’s neck. The specially designed triangular grooves on the spike caused a large amount of blood to gush from the neck.
"I told you, I’m not someone you can easily keep!"
