Chapter 1120: 345. Starry Sky Relay_2

“No, it is not, it has never even had its own Plane Year.” the Assassin Angel said:

“This Plane Core has never possessed the Fire of St. Dillan; it has always been a weak existence wandering in the Barren Universe. When the Supreme Star Palace was established, the Star God once invited it to join, but it was rejected.

“Not all Plane Cores desire to possess the Fire of St. Dillan. They know that after acquiring this item, their dominion will eventually come to an end, so they never intended to possess it from the beginning; they only thought of leeching off its radiance as much as possible to prolong their feeble existence.”

Noland Lee slowly nodded:

“For a weak Plane Core, this should be an excellent choice.”

“Exactly.” the Assassin Angel said:

...

“Such a Plane Core treats all life creatures within the Inner Cosmos as expendables, ready to be abandoned at any time. It is the same with the Alchemy Cathedral, and so it is with the Ultimate Physique, the Plane Core behind the Tatis Empire.”

Noland Lee asked:

“‘Ultimate Physique’?”

“Yes, that is its name, a Plane Core that pursues the ultimate physical power.” the Assassin Angel said:

“Because it pursues strong physiques excessively, during many Plane Years in the past, it has been targeted numerous times by other Plane Cores that feed on flesh as food. This includes the Plane Cores behind both the Gatherer of the Dead and the Gatherer of Corpses.”

“That really is coincidental… The Gatherer of the Dead is about to descend upon the land of ‘Ultimate Physique’ again.” Noland Lee gave a wry smile:

“It feels like the relationships of mutual generation and restraint among Plane Cores seem to have been determined from the moment they appeared. Just what are Plane Cores, and how did they come into existence?”

“This is actually a question the Star God is exploring.” the Assassin Angel said:

“Not just Him, His Superior God-power Deities have also been troubled by this question. Perhaps this is also one of the reasons why the Star God has implemented the Star-disc Plan. If the total number of Plane Cores comes to a halt at some point in the future, we might have the hope of unraveling the secret of the Plane Core’s origins.”

After saying this, the Assassin Angel fell silent, seemingly recalling the past.

Noland Lee patted off the dust he had picked up from the street lamp, stood up straight, and walked towards the hotel where Denise Green was located.

Halfway there, after much contemplation, Noland Lee still decided to give Morster a heads-up to be extra vigilant about what would happen seven days later.

Hopefully, doing so could, as much as possible, prevent the catastrophe that the Land of Resurgence would suffer after the arrival of the Pollution Zone.

During the following six days, Noland Lee made all preparations for his journey into the Pollution Zone.

He had Nolin mass produce Mechanos on Island 33 and secretly commissioned Selena to procure a large number of magic scrolls.

All of this was to ensure he could successfully meet the Corpse Essence of the Gatherer of the Dead and completely annihilate it.

Beyond the necessary preparations, Noland Lee also found time to chat with the Dusk Giants who were far away in the “Bustling Tunnel,” understanding their recent situation.

Based on the decision reached between Noland Lee and the Dusk Giants, after helping the latter move to the “Bustling Tunnel,” the Dusk Giants owed Noland Lee a favor, which they needed to repay.

Previously, the Dusk Giants wanted to help Noland Lee break the First Fate Shackle.

But after understanding the drawback from the Assassin Angel, Noland Lee tactfully refused the Dusk Giants’ offer.

The Assassin Angel proposed that, after the Dusk Giants successfully left the Inner Cosmos, they would meet Noland Lee in Outer Space.

This proposal was sensible and seemed feasible.

Noland Lee relayed it to the Dusk Giants.

After some discussion, they confirmed a preliminary plan.

Before the “Bustling Tunnel” was closed, the Dusk Giants had to construct their own Sub-Dimensional Plane and, with the help of the “Giant” Plane Core, move to the Barren Universe.

Once they left the Inner Cosmos, the Dusk Giants could begin attempting to enter Outer Space from the Barren Universe.

This step was extremely difficult.

The Assassin Angel could not describe the specific difficulties to Noland Lee, only mentioning that a slight mishap in that place could lead to encountering “Broken Dimension,” after which they would be devoured by the Extraterrestrial Eternity beyond the universe.

Simply put, entering Outer Space from the Barren Universe was akin to navigating a three-dimensional maze.

The walls, ceiling, and floor of the maze were composed of the “Broken Dimension” where the Extraterrestrial Eternity lurked.

The Dusk Giants might spend a dozen or even a hundred years navigating out of the maze-like barren universe to enter outer space.

If he cannot root the “Giant” Plane Core in outer space and develop at least a star system-level cosmic strength before Noland Lee leaves the inner cosmos, there’s no chance he could rendezvous with Noland.

This is undoubtedly an extremely arduous task.

Nonetheless, the Dusk Giant still plans to give it a try.

“At most three months, I’ll leave the inner cosmos,” the voice of the Dusk Giant wafted from the pendant and into Noland’s mind:

“The ‘Giant’ Plane Core will move to the edge of outer space while I prepare to leave the inner cosmos. The light of the Fire of St. Dylan that I’ve been feeding it these few days has already helped it recover a portion of its vitality.”

“Aren’t you planning to go to the underground depths to search for the Fire of St. Dylan anymore?” Noland asked.

The Dusk Giant sighed heavily:

“No. In the past, under the rule of the Patriarchal Giant, I was just an ordinary Dusk Giant, with no opportunity to know about the existence of the Plane Core. But now that I have seen the Plane Core behind our clan, I have learned many ancient truths from it. I know clearly what I should do now. Possessing the Fire of St. Dylan is not a good thing for a clan like ours that has already been defeated in history.”

The Dusk Giant uttered a remark with a sigh:

“We should also thank the good deeds of the Dragon Clan. If it weren’t for the breach they created in the Star Palace Barrier that allowed the Plane Cores in outer space and the barren universe to establish a direct channel to the inner cosmos, the ‘Giant’ Plane Core wouldn’t have been able to absorb the light of the Fire of St. Dylan. So sometimes I think that perhaps maintaining the status quo is not a bad thing.”

For those Plane Cores in the barren universe, that is indeed the case.

The flawed Star Palace Barrier, while keeping powerful Plane Cores out from occupying the Fire of St. Dylan, has also allowed the Plane Cores of outer space and the barren universe to absorb the light.

Although this is an unintentional byproduct created by the Dragon Clan, it is a condition that suits the interests of many Plane Cores.

However, this situation may not last too long.

In outer space, those cosmic forces with constellation-level strength each have the potential to completely destroy the Star Palace Barrier.

Given some time to further open gaps in outer space and absorb the light of the Fire of St. Dylan from the inner cosmos, their respective Plane Cores will recover rapidly.

In not too long, Extraordinary beings with strength comparable to deities will reemerge in outer space, forming a cosmic cluster that can traverse through black holes and fully conquer the inner cosmos, seizing the Fire of St. Dylan.

This process will be even shorter than Noland had imagined.

Take the Dragon Clan as an example, the White Ancestral Dragon has been guarding the Spinning Continent secretly manipulating the living creatures of the “Wizard” world for a thousand years.

The amount of the Fire of St. Dillan’s light it supplies to the “Dragon” Plane Core is as vast as the ocean.

If the next world-ending catastrophe still cannot utterly destroy the Spinning Continent, driving all dragons out of the inner cosmos, then the Dragon Clan will become the first extraordinary race to birth a divine dragon god, and then they will attack the inner cosmos.

The good news is, the White Ancestral Dragon has never gotten along with the Metal Ancestral Dragon.

They may fight amongst themselves over who will lead the Dragon Clan.

A thousand years ago, the White Ancestral Dragon took the lead in building the “Dragon Slumber Tower.” Back then, the Metal Ancestral Dragon was just a “laborer” working under the White Ancestral Dragon.

When the apocalypse struck, the Metal Ancestral Dragon fled the scene on its own, causing a breach in the tower’s defenses, which led to the catastrophic casualties of the Dragon Clan.

This contradiction, which nearly annihilated the Dragon Clan, will not be resolved just because the Metal Ancestral Dragon returns to the inner cosmos to apologize to the White Ancestral Dragon.

The Assassin Angel had made it clear earlier that he would prevent the Metal Ancestral Dragon from entering the Spinning Continent in order to stop any chance for reconciliation between it and the White Ancestral Dragon.

“As long as the Metal Ancestral Dragon appears within several thousand kilometers around the Spinning Continent, I’ll be able to sense its presence. That’s why I wanted you to leave Nicolette in the Suman Archipelago.”

The Assassin Angel said:

“However, what the Dusk Giant mentioned just now about his Plane Core behind him desiring to settle for the status quo gave me an idea.”

Noland concluded his conversation with the Dusk Giant and put away the pendant, asking in his mind:

“An idea? What idea?”

The Assassin Angel said:

“Maybe I was wrong about the Metal Ancestral Dragon’s purpose in entering the inner cosmos. It’s not here to reconcile with the White Ancestral Dragon.”
