Chapter 932: 291. Laron Rockbone_3

Noland Lee nodded and dived into the Miniature Ocean.

The light of the water shimmered as the Miniature Ocean undulated violently, swallowing Noland Lee whole.

On the Fifth Floor Underground, no one else was present, just dozens to hundreds of magical devices for storing Thunder and Lightning Energy, standing quietly in their place.

They were made of magic rocks, square in appearance, like plain, unadorned stone posts.

Each of these magical devices could store a hundred million points of Thunder and Lightning Energy.

The stored energy could be used to cast the “Thundercloud Technique” or to create a grand “Thunderstorm Nova,” destroying every secret on and beneath Island 33.

...

To the east of Snow Mountain Island 1, within the Magic Ocean Current.

Upon his arrival, Noland Lee activated the “Liquid Transformation Technique” and “Water Walking Technique” instantly.

He did not linger, swimming straight toward the farther east.

He actually wasn’t too worried about encountering wizards from Larolon Rockbone.

His method of exploring mineral veins did not involve using mineral exploration devices to go deep underground and search for non-metallic ore deposits by hand.

By using “Mind View,” he could sit at home and see all the isles of the Suman Archipelago.

Since he could see the isles, deconstructing them naturally wasn’t a problem.

With such a convenient method of operation, he didn’t need to go to the islands personally to explore for ores.

Moreover, Noland Lee had already put in place a layer of protective measures.

He attributed the source of the Nonmetal Mineral Distribution Map to the Dragon clan treasure he had obtained.

His last voyage to the Starfall Sea was precisely to establish the fact he possessed Dragon clan treasure.

Noland Lee laid down this layer of protection for two purposes.

First, to confuse those who might be spying.

Second, to screen for leakers.

Noland Lee planned to seize an opportunity to subtly suggest to the Deep Sea Branch that the distribution map he held came from the Dragon clan treasure he’d obtained by chance.

Noland Lee had set “Tracking Marks” in the Starfall Sea.

If near these magic marks, wizards from Earth Vein Pillar and Larolon Rockbone appeared, and they also delved into the seabed searching for the treasure, what would this indicate?

Correct.

It would indicate that among those in the know at the Deep Sea Branch, there was a leaker.

By using Deconstruction Technique and the process of elimination, Noland Lee could easily identify the leaker.

With meticulous planning, Noland Lee believed he had the situation well under control.

The only tricky part lay with the wizard force “Larolon Rockbone.”

The ruler of “Larolon Rockbone,” the “King of Rock bone,” seemingly possessed only Ten Rings’ strength on the surface.

He was at least 400 years old.

Since advancing to a Tenth-Ring Wizard over three hundred years ago, he had always been the Chief Sorcerer of the Wizard Council.

Under his influence, many contents favorable to “Larolon Rockbone” appeared in the second law of the Ulnas Circle.

Take the acquisition of non-metallic ores, for instance.

“Larolon Rockbone” could demand ores and rock soil magic stones from wizard forces that produced them by initiating duels.

If “Larolon Rockbone” won the duel, they could obtain the ores and magic stones from the loser at a very low price. The amount obtained could not exceed 20% of the total production of the ores and magic stones.

If “Larolon Rockbone” lost the duel, they pledged not to initiate another duel for 10 years, with no other penalties.

What’s the difference between this and acting like a thug?

When Noland Lee read these law contents at that time, all he could make out was the term “shameless.”

But it was precisely such a law that resembled banditry that passed the review of the Wizard Council and was incorporated into Law No. 2.

Why did this happen?

The reason is simple.

“Larolon Rockbone” possessed formidable and overwhelming strength.

Any wizard force that produced non-metallic ores had to weigh their capability against “Larolon Rockbone”.

By accepting a duel from “Larolon Rockbone”, they would at most lose 20% of their production.

But if they declined the duel, then “Larolon Rockbone” would let the other party experience what it’s like to face the profound “background” of an established wizard force and teach them the meaning of “by any means necessary to achieve one’s goals”.

While being powerfully strong, “Larolon Rockbone” was also very shrewd.

They first needed to find out exactly how many non-metal ore distribution maps the Deep Sea Branch had, who was providing these maps, and then they could determine the size of this “cake” and how many wizards they needed to deploy to take a bite.

After all, according to the regulations of Law No. 2, “Larolon Rockbone” could only initiate one duel against the same wizard force within 10 years.

The Pangula family was merely an engineering contractor for mining ores; the output belonged to the Deep Sea Branch.

So, it was the Deep Sea Branch that “Larolon Rockbone” aimed for.

Noland Lee had precisely anticipated this and had Selena seek mediation from her father.

“Let Mingwaq Pomida worry about it~”

Noland chuckled to himself.

He had arrived at the Great Sea in the eastern part of the Suman Archipelago.

This deep-sea region housed three thousand subsea regions, hence it was bestowed with the name “Great”.

Theoretically, if one swam eastward across the Great Sea without encountering any major storms or deep-sea beasts, they could easily reach the Ulnas Circle, seven thousand kilometers away.

Noland used his Deconstruction technique to find the intersection of four subsea regions and commenced the work of Passive Deconstruction on the sea area.

At the same time, inside Selena’s study room.

Selena held a Magic Pen in her hand, personally writing a letter to her father.

She concealed her conversation with Noland, echoing his reasoning as if it were her own insights.

“Father, Dietrich Fegan Pangula can’t bear to lose his principal rights in the Suman Archipelago. He desires to return here in an extreme way, to take back the position of principal…”

The Magic Pen scratched across the paper with a swishing sound that was suddenly interrupted by an urgent letter that appeared out of nowhere.

A Magic Conch appeared beside Selena, enveloping the envelope with bubbles before placing it on the tabletop.

The cover of the letter was inscribed with the bold, black-font words “Notification”.

Selena drew her finger across it and cut open the envelope with a sharp blade of water, retrieving the letter paper within.

“Hiss… this complicates things.”

Selena eyed the letter’s content and let out a low exclamation.

“Splash-splash~” A miniature ocean inside her study room splashed, indicating someone was trying to teleport there.

On hearing this, Selena’s expression subtly changed.

She took a deep breath, forcing herself to stay calm, and sent a water belt towards the miniature ocean, permitting the other party to teleport in.

“Splash-splash-splash~~~~”

Large volumes of Sea Water churned above the miniature ocean, delivering two figures wrapped in water onto the floor.

One was gaunt and bony, with skin pale as death, bearing resemblance to a skeleton or a clay figure made of white rock soil, dotted with tiny rock spikes all over his body.

The other figure wore a tawny Magic Robe of the Pangula family, with high cheekbones and a sullen demeanor.

The moment he arrived, he spoke in an icy tone:

“Miss Selena Williams, you have received the notice from the Wizard Enforcement Department, haven’t you?

“There is evidence suggesting that your Deep Sea Branch has stolen ore distribution maps from inside the Pangula family.

“I am Dietrich Fegan Pangula. In the presence of the Rock Bone Enforcer, I will initiate an inquiry against you.”
