Chapter 945: 294. Winning on three fronts_5

“Yes,” Noland Lee said with a calm smile as the other party kept up with the rhythm:

“Originally, this was a very secretive matter, you understand? My professor, Claudia Erika, had me sign a Magic Contract with the Deep Sea Branch Office in my personal capacity. If the ‘Larolon Rockbone’ hadn’t intervened, from beginning to end, it would have been just between me and the Deep Sea Branch, without involving the ‘Silent Maiden’.”

“I’m sorry, Mr. Jarvis…” Paul Stone shivered.

At this very moment, he realized the extent of the trouble he had caused.

Just as Noland Lee had laid out before, the wizard forces like the ‘Silent Maiden’ and ‘Pure Light Court,’ which had become enforcement powers, relied not on morals or laws but on their own Breaking Law capabilities.

Although the power of the ‘Silent Witch’s’ forces was certainly not on par with the ‘Pure Light Court,’ they definitely should not be underestimated.

...

If they were pushed into a corner, in no time, there would be a multitude of Rockbone Magicians punished for their crimes.

Paul Stone, being an Enforcement Wizard, was capable of employing despicable tactics against Legal Wizards, to say nothing of ordinary Rockbone Magicians without the identity of enforcement wizards.

Paul Stone glanced at the body bag on the ground, his mind trembling as he imagined the Rockbone Magicians succumbing one after another:

“I’m so sorry, Mr. Jarvis. We didn’t know that it was the ‘Silent Maiden’ collaborating with the Deep Sea Branch. I was wrong, I apologize!”

Noland Lee raised his hand and patted the other’s shoulder covered in stony spikes:

“Relax, Paul Stone, the fact that you are still standing here means there is something to be discussed.”

“Yes, yes, you’re right,” Paul Stone nodded repeatedly.

Noland Lee nodded in satisfaction:

“I’m glad to see you recognize your mistake. It is the duty of every Ulnas Wizard to abide by the Ulnas Ring Law. I hope you won’t be so reckless in the future.”

Paul Stone apologized in a low and humble voice.

Seeing that the groundwork had been laid, Noland Lee then stated his negotiation terms.

He was planning something ruthless.

He intended to use the ruthless tactics he had learned before crossing over to teach the wizards of this world what it meant to be a “despicable foreigner,” and what it meant to “not provoke the ‘Silent Maiden’.”

Paul Stone hung his head low, listening patiently.

Once Noland Lee had finished speaking, he looked up in confusion and said:

“Do you mean that after the Deep Sea Branch accepts the competition invitation from the Pangula Family, the ‘Silent Maiden’ will sign a Magic Contract to mine non-metallic ore with ‘Larolon Rockbone,’ right?

“But if you do this, what about the Magic Contract you signed with the Deep Sea Branch? Aren’t you violating that contract?

“Or are you saying that the Magic Contract you signed with the Deep Sea Branch doesn’t prohibit you from collaborating with other wizard forces to mine non-metallic ore?”

Noland Lee knew why Paul Stone would have such a question.

Because according to normal reasoning, when Noland Lee Jarvis signed the Magic Contract with the Deep Sea Branch, they would certainly include such a restrictive clause:

Noland Lee Jarvis cannot collaborate with other wizard forces to exploit the non-metallic ore resources of the Suman Archipelago without the permission of the Deep Sea Branch.

This was a clause that could, to a certain extent, reduce the competitive pressure on the Deep Sea Branch.

But!

This did not prevent Noland Lee from cooperating with ‘Larolon Rockbone.’

Because!

The one signing the Magic Contract with ‘Larolon Rockbone’ would be Claudia Erika, representing the ‘Silent Witch,’ and not Noland Lee Jarvis.

And in the Magic Contract signed between Noland Lee and the Deep Sea Branch, he had always cooperated with the Deep Sea Branch in a personal capacity, without involving the ‘Silent Maiden’!

Two contracts, two contracting entities.

Even though it was Noland Lee who provided Claudia Erika with the ore distribution map, what does that have to do with the Deep Sea Branch?

The Magic Contract with the Deep Sea Branch only restricts cooperation between Noland Lee and other wizard forces, it doesn’t restrict the Silent Maiden!

Therefore, the Deep Sea Branch and Larolon Rockbone, Noland Lee has the best of both worlds!

Double the cooperation, double the profit, all securely obtained under the name of Professor Erica!

Upon Noland Lee’s explanation, Paul Stone had an epiphany, astonished beyond belief!

“To think you could play it like this…” Paul Stone murmured to himself in disbelief.

Noland Lee’s expression became serious as he spoke earnestly:

“This is all Professor Erica’s strategy, I’m just an executor. If you’re going to admire someone, admire her, it has little to do with me.”

“Yes, you’re right, Professor Erica is truly extraordinary…”

After expressing his admiration, Paul Stone said:

“Don’t worry, I’ll convey your message to Lord Dilise Stone. Once Mingwaq Pomida, the head of the Pomida Family, accepts the Pangula Family’s competition invite, I’ll immediately bring you an invitation to sign a Magic Contract.”

“Hmm, very good,” Noland Lee replied with a calm smile.

“But speaking of which, Mr. Jarvis…” Paul Stone asked, puzzled:

“Why wait until Mingwaq Pomida accepts the competition invite before signing a Magic Contract with us, the Larolon Rockbone?”

Noland Lee’s gaze flickered, and he sighed lightly as he said:

“The cooperation between the Silent Maiden and Larolon Rockbone that bypasses the Deep Sea Branch is somewhat dishonorable. Isn’t Mingwaq Pomida accepting the competition invite just putting pressure on us, the Silent Maiden, to emerge in the limelight and support him?

“But you also know that we have always liked to keep a low profile. If Mingwaq Pomida acts dishonorably first, then we would be forced to take another strategy to ensure our production of non-metallic ores, right?”

Paul Stone reflected for a moment, then nodded vigorously:

“I understand what you mean, Mr. Jarvis.”

“Do you really understand?” Noland Lee asked.

Paul Stone pondered again:

“Yes, I understand. We will make the Fagen Lineage raise the stakes of the competition until Mingwaq Pomida has no choice but to accept.”

“Very good, very good,” Noland Lee said as he drew the Sword of Silence from the other’s waist. 𝖓𝔬𝔳𝖕𝖚𝖇.𝖈𝔬𝔪

He held the sword in his left hand and stretched out his right hand:

“Pleasure doing business.”

“Pleasure doing business,” Paul Stone responded, shaking Noland Lee’s hand.

Noland Lee pointed at the body bag at his feet.

Paul Stone got the hint, patting his chest:

“I’ll take care of it.”

In the end, a situation was reached where only the Fagen Branch of the Pangula Family was harmed.

Once the entire plan was realized, Noland Lee would have a situation where he wins on all fronts.

Noland Lee wouldn’t use conspiracy to harm people, but when someone tried to climb onto his head, he would inevitably pick up “wisdom” as a weapon to counter the enemy.
