Chapter 999: Chapter 999: Fully Boyfriend Material_1 Chapter 999: Chapter 999: Fully Boyfriend Material_1 The sleeves of the shirt on her looked like cascading water.

They were too long, completely covering her hands.

The hem of the shirt nearly reached her knees.

The whole thing was too baggy.

“This is totally the boyfriend look,” mumbled Peggy Lewis.

“I never actually had a chance to dress like this before,” she chuckled.

During her off-duty hours, Peggy Lewis also enjoyed casual attire.

...

Be it sweatshirts, loose shirts, sweaters, and so on, she always chose to buy sizes that were one or two larger than her actual size.

They were comfortable and, more importantly, made her look slimmer.

However, even though one might call it the boyfriend style, it was not really about wearing her boyfriend’s clothes.

Heck, she never even had a chance to wear any man’s clothes before.

How was it feeling now…

somewhat…

sweet?

She felt rather content inside.

Peggy Lewis looked down at herself and her outfit.

Well…

even though she was single, at least she got to experience the feeling of wearing a boyfriend-style shirt.

The real deal – a man’s shirt!

But the shirt didn’t carry the usual scent of pine that usually lingered on Lyke Zhekova.

Instead, it had a very clean and fresh scent, as if it had just been washed.

Peggy Lewis scanned Lyke Zhekova’s bedroom and realized that not even a simple mirror was present, let alone a full-length one.

She didn’t even have a way to see how she looked wearing Lyke Zhekova’s shirt.

Peggy Lewis thought for a moment and figured she could take a picture using her mobile phone.

She would keep it in her phone as a memento, not to share.

After all, this was her first time wearing a man’s shirt.

And that man was Lyke Zhekova.

She wouldn’t get another opportunity like this.

Didn’t this call for a memento?

Although Peggy Lewis found her line of thought rather inappropriate, she eventually went with it.

“I don’t care, I don’t care.

There won’t be a next time anyway,” Peggy Lewis said as she took a deep breath, “I must keep a memento.”

She felt like she was savoring the fleeting opportunity to wear the clothes of an idol whom she had admired for many years.

That was the sentiment, right?

Though she hadn’t actually been Lyke Zhekova’s fan for years.

But who else would have a chance to wear Lyke Zhekova’s clothes, right?

Even if she wasn’t planning on bragging about it, at least she needed to document the moment.

With that thought in mind, Peggy Lewis lowered her head and picked up her mobile phone.

Only to find out that she hadn’t brought it with her.

Her mobile phone was still out there in the living room.

Peggy Lewis was a little disappointed.

Well, great!

Now she didn’t even have the chance to keep a memento.

All she had left now were memories.

With a sigh of regret, Peggy Lewis left the bedroom.

Despite her not presenting herself as those TV seductresses who wore nothing but a shirt and showed off their legs, she was still not quite comfortable.

She was actually wearing her own trousers.

But the sensation was quite awkward while facing Lyke Zhekova in his shirt.

Peggy Lewis then began to feel a bit uneasy as she tugged at the hem of the shirt.

And shifted the collar uncomfortably.

Seeing her in his shirt, Lyke Zhekova’s eyes darkened, but he quickly concealed his reaction.

Inside, however, he couldn’t help but think how good she looked in it.

He wished he could see her dressed like this at home more often.

However, Peggy Lewis’s trousers seemed a bit too tight.

It wasn’t comfortable for staying in.

Why bother?

She should simply take them off.

Peggy Lewis had no idea what was going on in Lyke Zhekova’s mind while she herself was feeling a bit embarrassed.

“Ahem,” Lyke Zhekova cleared his throat.

“You…

sit here,” he said but instantly regretted it as his voice came out a bit hoarse.

He quickly fell silent.

After a few more throat-clearing coughs, he said, “Let me apply the ointment for you.”

Peggy Lewis nodded and sat down.

Her movements were stiff as she was a bit nervous.

“I know your arm is injured,” said Lyke Zhekova, “How about this side?”

Peggy Lewis promptly rolled up the sleeves on both her arms, exposing them.

Lyke Zhekova noticed that the bruise on her left arm was more serious.

The right arm wasn’t too bad, with just a slight bruise in an unnoticeable place.

It must’ve happened when she had the tussle with Jacob Zahn.

Lyke Zhekova took out the ointment and poured a bit onto his palm.

It had a somewhat pungent smell, like that of a refreshing oil.

He applied it onto the bruise and said, “Bear with it for a bit.

The instructions say it needs to be massaged in.”

“Okay,” said Peggy Lewis nodding, “No really, I’m alright.

You don’t need to worry.”

She could get better even without the ointment.

Lyke chuckled and began to massage the area, helping the oil to be absorbed.

However, he was worried that Peggy Lewis might feel pain, so he was careful not to apply too much pressure.

Peggy Lewis figured that since he had already started massaging the area,

It was bound to hurt.

It’d be better to just apply more pressure and dispel the bruise more quickly.

After all, she would still need to bear the pain, so might as well get the most of it, right?

So, Peggy Lewis said, “You don’t need to be considerate of me, just press harder.

It’ll help dissipate the bruise.”

Even though he wasn’t a doctor, Lyke Zhekova knew that more pressure at this time would yield better results.

He was just afraid that Peggy Lewis might not be able to take it.

Now that Peggy Lewis had said so, Lyke Zhekova, despite seeing her delicate arms and legs, made a reluctant decision.

He said, “I’ll try to gradually increase the pressure, and if you feel that you can’t stand it anymore, let me know and I will ease up.”

“Okay,” Peggy Lewis nodded.

Being single ever since birth, Peggy Lewis didn’t think too much when he said this and took it totally normal.

If she were the married Cindy Clarke and Adrian Zhekova told her this, she would definitely blush.

Lyke Zhekova tentatively increased the pressure.

After every increment, he would ask Peggy Lewis, “How are you now?”

“I’m good,” Peggy Lewis nodded.

Yes, it hurt, but not to the extent that she couldn’t bear it.

Lyke Zhekova asked frequently, but Peggy wasn’t bothered.

In fact, she patiently nodded to indicate she was okay every time Lyke Zhekova asked.

And Lyke Zhekova did ask every three or four seconds.

Despite this, Peggy Lewis didn’t find it annoying.

Instead, she thought that Lyke Zhekova was extraordinarily considerate.

After all the bruises had been rubbed with oil and massaged until fully absorbed,

nearly an hour had passed.

And Lyke Zhekova had patiently massaged her all this time.

When he was finally done, Peggy Lewis heaved a sigh of relief.

“Thank you,” she said shyly, “for massaging me for so long.”

“I didn’t mind,” said Lyke Zhekova looking at the bruise on her arm, “I wonder when it will heal.”

“It should be soon,” responded Peggy Lewis, “I heal pretty fast.”

Lyke Zhekova lowered his gaze onto Peggy Lewis’s foot.
