Chapter 121: 121, There is a password, but can’t get in
After their meal, Song Qinghuan followed Li Wei to the Finance Department.
Glancing at the high stack of documents on Li Wei’s table, Song Qinghuan picked up a ruler from the pen holder and measured the thickness of the pile of files.
Damn, it was up to ten centimeters thick. No wonder Li Wei is busy non-stop every day and almost collapses from overwork.
Is she the only one in the Finance Department? What about the others’ work? Is there just as much?
Li Wei handed over a few documents for Song Qinghuan to photocopy, then began rapidly typing away on her computer.
Standing with the copied documents, Song Qinghuan voiced her concerns, “Li Wei, why are you the only one working overtime?”
Whilst continuously typing, Li Wei didn’t lift her head as she responded, “I’m in charge of this case. The director said the data given out in it is too high and asked me to recalculate everything.”
She flipped through the pile of documents and found one to work on, her fingers dancing over calculator keys, “Help me photocopy quickly, once you’re done, take a break. You’ll be more energized if you rest a bit during lunch before your shift in the afternoon.”
“Alright, you get back to work!” said Song Qinghuan, taking the documents to the photocopy room.
There was also a computer in the photocopy room, belonging to the Finance Department.
After making sure the photocopies were in order; Song Qinghuan looked around, saw no one, and sat down in front of the computer.
Each department had a computer with access to different data. This computer belonged to the Finance Department, so all finance-related data should be accessible.
Song Qinghuan thought of her brother’s diary and the Wancheng Group acquisition case mentioned in it.
Besides the CEO’s office, the place with the most information about the case was the Finance Department.
As long as she found the case files and reviewed the related documents, she could identify the competitor contending covertly with the Times Group during the acquisition of Wancheng Group.
Even if no one else knew, the Times Group would have certainly found out. Even if there isn’t a company name explicitly stated, there would surely be relevant clues.
Based on these clues, find the company competing with the Times Group.
Also, according to her brother’s diary, X wasn’t the boss of this company. But they surely occupied a top management position, with the power to determine acquisitions.
After turning on the computer, Song Qinghuan furrowed her eyebrows, tightly clenched her hands, even sweating from the tension.
The computer was password-protected, for multiple systems no less.
Each system probably had a different password.
For a moment, Song Qinghuan didn’t know which system to click on. Even if she did, she wouldn’t know the password.
What should she do now? Should she gamble and click around or abandon her plan, leaving the computer in sleep mode?
