Chapter 152: 152, how did he spend these ten years?

Chapter 152: 152, how did he spend these ten years?

Li Qianze shook his head, “I don’t know. I only know that something happened to our Li family that year, and my brother sent us to the Shi family for refuge. At the time, your husband had just returned to the Shi family. He spent each day locked in his room, refusing to even come downstairs for meals. Servants would bring his meals to him, and the only times he would come downstairs would be when the old master of the Shi family overruled him. But he never allowed anyone to come near him. If anyone approached, he would clench his fists and stare at them fiercely, as if ready to kill.”

Song Qinghuan looked incredulous, her eyes wide and hands opening and closing in surprise. “No way, that’s terrifying.”

Li Qianze recalled, “How can it not be? I experienced it firsthand. All I wanted was to hug him because he reminded me of my brother. Once, I missed my brother and accidentally mistook him for my brother. I tried to hug him, but before I even touched him, he suddenly raised a roundhouse kick at me. He was ruthless and cruel, and I was so young then, I couldn’t handle it. I had to stay in the hospital for over a month. But it was that kick that made him feel guilt, and he visited me in the hospital a few times.”

For some reason, as Li Qianze recounted these events, Song Qinghuan remembered a movie.

A movie about a hitman. The main character, a rich man’s son, was framed and kidnapped, hidden away on a secret island with a group of other children.

There, they underwent brutal and relentless training. Once they achieved a certain level of skill, they were forced to kill one another, eventually becoming numb and cold-blooded killing machines.

Song Qinghuan couldn’t help but wonder, was Shi Yuhuan like the protagonist in this movie? Had he undergone similar horrific training, which resulted in his current aloof and prideful demeanor?

Or perhaps, he had experienced something even more terrifying, which had completely changed him…

Li Qianze sighed, “However, this state only lasted for half a year. He gradually got back on track, and then went to America to study. That led to the man you see now, who can naturally communicate and interact with others. He even started a company and managed it successfully. But, he still refuses to let anyone get close to him…”

Song Qinghuan fully agreed with his last statement, “Yeah, he’s sometimes so cold and numb, it drives me nuts!”

“Actually…” Li Qianze wanted to say something else, but noticing that Shi Yuhuan had come downstairs, he abruptly quieted down, breaking out into a chuckle instead.

When Song Qinghuan caught sight of Shi Yuhuan, she gave a relaxed turn of her eyes and teasingly said, “Why are you laughing so cheerfully? Do you think he’s icy and numb, lacking human warmth, too detestable to the extreme like I do!!? It’s good that you think this way, so I can’t help you out in this. I simply can’t stand people who are cold…”

While she was talking, she noticed Li Qianze smirking at her. Song Qinghuan widened her eyes, as if asking whether Shi Yuhuan was here.

Li Qianze nodded. Song Qinghuan cleared her throat, “I’m so hungry. Let’s eat, Li Qianze. We shouldn’t wait any longer.”

Li Qianze gave a slight smile, looking up at Shi Yuhuan, “Bro, you’re here. Let’s eat, your wife says she’s starving.”

Shi Yuhuan strode graciously towards them, taking a seat at the head of the table, forming an equilateral triangle with Song Qinghuan and Li Qianze.
