As dawn was just breaking the next day, Song Qinghuan got up, and early in the morning, she went with Li Wei looking for someone.
According to the information they had, their former colleague from the finance department, Li Xiaoyi, after leaving the Times Group, had returned to his hometown and opened a moderately sized computer store in the county town.
The two of them arrived at the entrance of the computer store following the address provided. Immediately, a salesperson approached them and warmly asked Song Qinghuan and Li Wei: “Welcome, what can I help you find?”
Li Wei laughed and said, “We are looking for your boss, Li Xiaoyi. Is he around?”

The two men glanced at each other and laughed, clearly disbelieving. Still, they pointed to the small bungalow on the upper level of the shop, “That’s the office. The boss is up there. You can go up directly. After all, it’s not your first time.”
Song Qinghuan frowned at each of them, using their ambiguous glances to interpret that women frequently visited Li Xiaoyi directly.
Despite her suspicions, Song Qinghuan didn’t immediately verify anything and followed Li Wei to the office on the second floor.
They knocked on the door, and a voice from inside immediately said, “Come in.”
As soon as the door opened, Song Qinghuan saw a man in a suit sitting behind the desk. With his plain, regular features, tanned skin, he gave people the first impression of being a very down-to-earth man.

As former colleagues, he recognized Li Wei instantly.

He waved his hand, signalling Song Qinghuan and Li Wei to sit down on the sofa.
While they were chatting, Song Qinghuan casually looked around the small bungalow.
Her eyes drifted to a corner, which was dim because there was no light on there, and she didn’t notice anything at first glance.
But she looked back and noticed a glint in the dark corner.
That should be the infrared light from a surveillance camera.

Downstairs is the sales floor, if he installed one in the office, he would surely install them downstairs too.
In that case, Li Xiaoyi must have known that she and Li Wei were here. So, why did he act so surprised, as if he had no idea they were coming?
