Chapter 337: 337, Supplementary card, Meaning

Song Qinghuan nodded and smiled politely, greeting, “Hello, Assistant Shi!”

Shi Mu smiled and said, “Qinghuan, there’s no need to be so formal, we’re all colleagues here.”

Song Qinghuan felt even more embarrassed. She held out the documents to Shi Yuhuan and respectfully said, “Mr. Shi, this document requires your signature.”

Shi Yuhuan glanced up and gave her a strange look. He took the document, skimmed through it before signing and handing it back to her, then said, “I have some business to attend to which may run late, would you rather wait for me in the lounge, or go home first?”

“I actually have something to do as well,” Song Qinghuan cheerily replied, her expression reading how lucky she was, “Yu Yang, Bai Rubing and I are going to go shopping. We’re definitely eating first, though—so don’t worry about me!”

Hearing this, Shi Yuhuan opened a drawer and took out a black, gold-embossed supplementary credit card. “I applied this for you, take it. While you’re out, buy a couple sets of clothes for me too.”

Song Qinghuan turned her head and chuckled.

And then, as if she couldn’t care less, she took the credit card, suppressing her laughter: “Sure, just don’t complain if you don’t like the clothes I pick.”

“Hmm,” Shi Yuhuan nodded, his face expressionless, but his tone gentle. “Call me when you’re done shopping, I’ll pick you up.”

“No need, I’ll just take a taxi home.” Clutching the credit card and the document, she smiled at Shi Mu, then left shyly.

It was a supplementary card, not a bank card. Upon seeing what Shi Yuhuan had handed her, Song Qinghuan was overjoyed.

This gift from Shi Yuhuan was different—it represented a new status she earned in his heart.

A man like Shi Yuhuan, giving a woman his supplementary card–it means he truly regards her as the woman in his heart, a woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with.

But her happiness, in the eyes of some people, seemed like pure greed.

After she left and closed the door, Shi Mu sneered. “I thought of her as innocent, but I never thought she could be so tactful. Isn’t this the first time you applied for a supplementary card?”

Shi Mu was usually a very composed man, rarely displaying such cutting words.

Shi Yuhuan seemed slightly annoyed by this, he looked at Shi Mu, “What are you trying to say?”

Shi Mu looked down, hiding his emotions, collected himself, and casually waved the document in his hand, “Nothing, let’s talk about work.”

Shi Yuhuan gave him a meaningful look but said nothing more. They continued their discussion on work matters.

An hour later, their discussion was over.

Before leaving, Shi Mu asked Shi Yuhuan, “Everyone’s going to Red Garden later, are you going? Chengyun will be there too.”

Shi Yuhuan, while tidying up his desk, coolly refused, “No.”

Shi Mu stood still, not leaving, instead, he asked somewhat puzzled, “Is it because of Si Chen? Seems like you stopped going to Red Garden after your falling out.”

Shi Yuhuan looked up at him, his gaze cool, “Seems like you’re meddling too much.”

Shi Mu gave a light smile, “How could I interfere with you? I just feel that no matter what, we are relatives after all, not to mention, Si Chen once saved your life.”

“Have you finished?” Shi Yuhuan asked coldly.

“Today is his birthday, his only wish is to apologize to you,” Shi Mu said, seeing Shi Yuhuan’s still indifferent expression, he thoughtfully added, “He hopes to reconcile with you, his older brother. That’s all.”
