Chapter 493: 493, Shi Yuhan, has finally become human.

Seeing the child crying, as if returning to normal, the doctor lifted his eyes and said softly to her, “Don’t worry, the child is fine. He has just had a fever, but he was brought here in time. He has been given a fever shot and taken some medicine. With good care, he will recover soon. However, we need to observe him for some more time, so the child has to stay in the clinic for now…”

“Thank you, doctor,” Song Qinghuan sighed with relief, but she was still upset, blaming herself for not being careful enough that led to the child’s high fever.

The doctor seemed to know Shi Yuhuan. While she was sitting by, watching over the baby, the two of them walked aside and whispered to each other. The doctor suddenly looked deeply at Song Qinghuan, then smiled as if pondering something.

Shi Yuhuan glanced at the time, walked over to Song Qinghuan, put his arm over her shoulder, and comforted her, “Don’t worry too much. The doctor said the child is fine now.”

His words slightly relieved Song Qinghuan’s stern expression, but her mind was still filled with conflicting emotions.

“It’s all my fault!” she sighed, her eyes unable to shift from the baby, as though the little one would disappear at any moment.

“No, it’s my fault,” said Shi Yuhuan softly.

Song Qinghuan snorted, turned her head angrily towards him and said, “Indeed, it’s your fault…” Seeing the doctor’s gaze fixed weirdly on them, she blushed and coughed awkwardly and then lowered her voice, “You showed no regard for timing!”

Shi Yuhuan’s eyes narrowed, moving his lips as if to say something, but noticing the doctor’s constant attentiveness, he decided not to say anything.

At noon, while Dingbao was still getting shots, she and Shi Yuhuan went out for lunch. The doctor was looking after the baby, even lent them his car, telling them to hurry back after the meal to take care of the baby since he himself had to go home for lunch.

They arrived at the resort’s western restaurant. Song Qinghuan and Shi Yuhuan sat in the VIP seat, the table filled with dishes.

Song Qinghuan seemed deep in thought, stirring her drink randomly, with no appetite at all.

Shi Yuhuan took a sip of water, looked at her and said, “Don’t think too much. The child is fine now. Here, eat this.” 𝚗ov𝚙𝚞𝚋.c𝚘m

Speaking, he used his own chopsticks to put a piece of fish in Song Qinghuan’s bowl.

Usually, she loved fish. But today, she didn’t touch it at all. It seemed that she didn’t touch any dishes.

Song Qinghuan pouted her lips, gave him a reproachful look and said, “Shi Yuhuan, it’s all your fault. If you hadn’t acted that way yesterday, I could’ve taken better care of Dingbao. Then he wouldn’t have gotten a fever.”

Apparently immune to her complaints, Shi Yuhuan lowered his eyes, seemingly not listening.

However, that didn’t mean he was unaware. He knew the child got a fever because of him and Song Qinghuan.

So, he had ordered, no matter what, the child needed to recover as soon as possible.

But having gone through this, he suddenly regretted his decision to have a child. It wasn’t that he didn’t want a child or that he wanted to be childless like before. Instead, he thought Song Qinghuan was still young, and they hadn’t been together for long. They should enjoy their time as a couple before having a child.

After complaining, Song Qinghuan whispered, “As for the baby’s mother, we don’t know when she’ll be back. If she knew the baby was sick, she would probably be very worried.”
