The soundproofing in the conference room was excellent. Everyone was unaware of what happened. All they saw was Bai Rubing rushing out, her cheek slightly scratched, followed by Song Qinghuan, who had a similar injury on her face.
What happened? Did they have a fight?
Everyone was curious, but none dared to ask them.
Only Yu Yang, who was relatively close to both of them, stepped forward and gently asked Song Qinghuan, “What happened?”
Song Qinghuan didn’t say anything. She just smiled faintly, then followed Bai Rubing and took the next elevator straight to the top floor, leaving a office full of perplexed colleagues behind.
At this moment, Bai Rubing seemed to be in a daze, her rationality lost under Song Qinghuan’s provocation. Normally, she would never rush to the top floor to find Shi Yuhuan that recklessly.
Shi Yuhuan lifted his eyes, glanced at Bai Rubing standing before him, and seemed to signal her to hurry up and say what she was there for.
Bai Rubing appeared somewhat flustered, lacking her usual reverence toward Shi Yuhuan. She chuckled nervously, “Mr. Shi, there is something I think you ought to know.”
“Oh?” Shi Yuhuan raised his eyebrows, his eyes calm.
Bai Rubing put away her smile, her face full of heartache, “This is about Qinghuan. I know about your relationship with her, so I think you should know.”
Shi Yuhuan narrowed his eyes, looking straight at her. He seemed impassive, as though unmoved by her words. Yet, he put down his pen, leaned casually against the back of his chair, implying that his mood was dangerous.
However, Bai Rubing was oblivious. The arrogance of Song Qinghuan, along with the value of the short message, had swept away all her rationality.
She knew that if she were smart, she shouldn’t be saying these things. She was fully aware, yet she couldn’t stand Song Qinghuan’s insolent dare against her, promising to ruthlessly strike her down in the future.
She was tormented and desired Song Qinghuan to suffer even more. As Song Qinghuan had said, from the moment she joined the company Bai Rubing had despised her, wishing her dead ever since Song Qinghuan claimed her position through the recorded call.
Why did she return after she had already left the company? Lingering like a restless ghost, making her want to vomit every time they chatted and laughed together.
“I know this isn’t good, but I still have to say it. Even if you hate me, blame me, want to fire me, you have to see what Qinghuan has done. You treated her so well, yet how could she do such things…” Bai Rubing said while pushing her phone toward Shi Yuhuan, “I just couldn’t stand it, that’s why I came to you.”
Shi Yuhuan glimpsed the content on the phone, then suddenly stood up. He was so tall that his towering figure easily brought an overwhelming sense of pressure.
Bai Rubing felt suffocated and instinctively took a couple steps back.
“I don’t know what your objective is in telling me all this, but I hope this is the end. You’re a smart person. You should’ve thought of the consequences. Therefore, you should know what to do!” Shi Yuhuan’s words were cold and sharp, his gaze icy, his handsome face frosty.
