Chapter 626: 626, I’m bringing up old issues, but I’m too lazy to deal with you again.

Chapter 626: 626, I’m bringing up old issues, but I’m too lazy to deal with you again.

Han Qianqian, weary and tired, gently leans back on her chair: “If given the option, I would not want to be born into the Han Family. I would rather be an ordinary person, living a simple and unremarkable life.”

“Making such a statement really shows that you have never experienced the poverty and hardships that we ordinary people face.” Song Qinghuan scoffs coldly, a hint of mockery in her voice.

She continues: “When you say things like that, do you realize how many people envy you, are jealous of you? Because you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth, and they often curse their fate, for not giving them a life like yours, for you had money, power, and status as an infant – things they can’t attain no matter how hard they work in their lifetime.”

Han Qianqian gives a soft, icy smile. “While they envy and are jealous of me, I, too, envy and am jealous of them. At least they don’t have to become someone they despise themselves for being, all because of what they were born with.”

Smiling faintly, Song Qinghuan retorts sarcastically, “You could choose to be who you like.”

Han Qianqian smirks coldly, “I wish I could, but I can’t. If I choose not to change, then I would end up being the prey at the bottom of the food chain, waiting to be devoured by those above me.”

Song Qinghuan exhales, her face devoid of expression: “I don’t know what to say. All I feel is that everyone, whether it’s you, who was born with everything, or we, the ordinary people, have to endure all kinds of hardships, impacts, and challenges. Along the way, there will be different choices. You can choose to follow your heart and be who you want to be, or you can choose otherwise, being someone you despise. But whatever choice you make, it’s all because of you, not because of what you were born with. What you were born with can’t be the reason for you to give up on yourself.”

Han Qianqian says impatiently, “Forget it, I won’t argue with you. We live in different worlds, you wouldn’t understand.”

Song Qinghuan turns her face aside: “Indeed, I don’t understand, so I think it’s unnecessary for us to continue this conversation. I’m leaving, and do not seek me out in the future.”

Truthfully, Song Qinghuan feels a bit irritated by Han Qianqian at this point.

Between Han Qianqian and Shi Annuo, she is closer to Shi Annuo. After all, Shi Annuo is her brother-in-law, they’re practically family.

Now she feels angry about how Han Qianqian is treating Shi Annuo.

She decides that when she goes back, she will counsel Shi Annuo. There are other girls in the world besides Han Qianqian. He doesn’t need to limit his options to Han Qianqian.

But just as Song Qinghuan is about to get up, Han Qianqian’s icy voice rings out again: “I hope you divorce Shi Yuhuan!”

A pulse throbs at her temple. Song Qinghuan’s face instantly frosts over, icy and piercing.

The surroundings suddenly become tense and eerie.

Song Qinghuan stares motionlessly at Han Qianqian, who is also staring right back at her.

“Back to the same old topic. I’m even tired of bothering with you. You want me to divorce Shi Yuhuan, do you think he would marry you if I weren’t there? No, even if I divorce Shi Yuhuan, he wouldn’t marry you. You should give up on this idea once and for all!” Song Qinghuan articulates each word clearly.
