Chapter 647: 647, Dreams, Love that Can’t be Left Behind
Right now, Shi Yuhuan could confirm with absolute certainty that it was no coincidence this car was following Li Chengyun.
He pulled out his phone and made a call to Li Chengyun, “You have a tail trailing behind you. Lead them to the secluded overpasses up ahead.”
Li Chengyun also sensed something was off with the car behind him. Now, the call from Shi Yuhuan confirmed his suspicion.
He signaled Adai towards the overpass. At the point where the double road diverged, Adai who was meant to choose the right, suddenly veered towards the left.
The car following behind was unprepared for the sudden turn in front. The driver too made a quick turn to catch up with Li Chengyun’s car, and even attempted to directly crash into it.
Shi Yuhuan, who was trailing behind, noticed this intention. His eyes narrowed dangerously, a murderous glimpse flitted across his gaze, and his chilling voice surged up: “Accelerate!”
Without any hesitation, Xia Yang accelerated on Shi Yuhuan’s command, flooring the throttle. The car’s engine roared and the vehicle darted forward like a loosed arrow.
Just as that tailing car was about to collide with Li Chengyun’s vehicle, Shi Yuhuan’s car rushed in and smashed it off the road.
Following that, Xia Yang drifted the car around to the other side, stopped it in the middle of the road, effectively blocking further progress of the smashed car.
In reality, even without their intervention, that car wouldn’t have been able to proceed further.
After Xia Yang’s hit, the car seemed to lose control, charging directly towards the highway guardrails.
A cacophonous roar escaped from the vehicle’s engine before the car lurched, shattered on impact, and broke the barrier into two pieces. A metal from the guardrail penetrated the windshield and transfixed the driver’s chest.
Xia Yang, his expression unchanging, turned back to Shi Yuhuan, “Boss, should we call the police now?”
Shi Yuhuan, perfectly composed, responded, “Of course we have to call the police, but first, are you familiar with this road? How many surveillance cameras are installed here? What is the camera resolution? How far can they capture, and can they recognise the driver inside the car clearly?”
Xia Yang answered quickly, “I’m quite familiar with this road, it’s well-known as a racing point. Besides the camera at the frontmost intersection, there are no others. The resolution should be about one megapixel and the effective shooting distance wouldn’t reach 200 meters. So, you know what to do next, right?”
“First call an ambulance…” Shi Yuhuan’s words were interrupted as thunder roared and large raindrops began to pelt the ground, quickly drenching the entire area.
A wry smile pulled at his lips, “You are indeed lucky. Even the heavens are helping you. You know what to do next, right?”
Xia Yang flashed a rogue smile, “Boss, I got it.”
*-*
“It’s raining again.” Leaned against the window, Song Qinghuan watched the drizzle patter against the glass, uttering a sigh.
She desperately wished for the rain to grow heavier, to cause a landslide or something similar that could obstruct her journey, delay her departure for Q City.
But the rain only lasted for a while, it gradually lessened and ended up as a soft drizzle.
As the car left the outskirts of A city and entered Q City, she fell asleep and had a dream.
In a tastefully decorated private room, she pushed open the door to see a man in a black suit, his facial features as flawless as if chiselled by a masterful hand, his aura regal.
