Chapter 733: 733, Shi Yuhuan, return home
Old Master Shi continued, “No, his main concern is not himself, but his promise to his parents. He promised to take good care of Shi Annuo, and as long as he lives, he will definitely ensure Shi Annuo is safe. Hence, Shi Annuo is his key to live, able to prove his existence.”
The butler’s face lit up in sudden realisation: “Please rest assured, Master. As soon as Shi Annuo leaves the airport, we will restrain him!”
The old master curled his lips in satisfaction, then solemnly ordered, “One month, that’s all I need. The Shi Enterprises and the Han Family will soon belong to me. So, no matter what, we must ensure the smooth financing of the Shi Enterprises.”
“You can trust us with that, old master. Bi Yuntao is managing it quite well. It’s only a matter of time!” replied the butler.
“Bi Yuntao, who would’ve thought that we would stumble upon such a treasure!” Shi Xiuren said, a hint of amusement in his tone, before motioning the butler to leave.
The butler nodded and withdrew.
The old master remained by the window, gazing out. He appeared deep in thought, his exact musings unknown.
His study was on the second floor, suspended above the ground floor. The tall glass walls, like a cliff, barred anyone from approaching – but that didn’t mean no one could get close.
After standing for a while, the old man may have felt tired, as he turned to leave the study.
But as he moved towards his desk, a crushing noise sounded from behind—the glass window.
As a gust of wind, cool with rain, swept in, the old master instinctively turned around, only to see a tall silhouette crouching on the window sill, like a perched black hawk.
It was a man, wearing a hat that barely hid his burgundy hair under its brim. His icy gaze pierced through his hair, looking at the old man, the corner of his mouth curving into a cold smile.
There was an alarm system in the study, installed right on his desk. All he had to do was lift his hand and press it, and the bodyguards outside would rush in.
But before his hand could reach for the alarm, a sheathed knife flew towards him, stopping him from pressing it down.
“Pressing it wouldn’t do you any good. The Shi Country Villa has been completely taken over by us,” smirked the intruder from his perch on the window sill, with a rascal look on his face.
Looking closely at the intruder, the old master shouted, “Xia Yang, it’s you! You’ve become too audacious!”
Xia Yang cleaned his ear, “I thought you’d say, ‘I can’t believe you’re alive.’ But instead, you’re not surprised at all. I was on that plane, remember?”
If Xia Yang survived, then Yihan would certainly be alive too, and probably planning something covert. Why else would Xia Yang be there in the middle of the night?
The old master’s face darkened. He hadn’t expected Yihan to dare such a move.
Outraged, he asked, “Xia Yang, where’s Yihan? You went to Korea together. If you’re fine, then he must certainly be unharmed, isn’t it?”
Just then, the room door was pushed open, a chilling air, laced with a hint of murderous intent, swept in.
Shi Yuhuan walked in with an elegant composure. Today he was clad in a black T-shirt and deep black combat trousers. He looked like he’d been travelling long-distance.
His icy gaze locked onto the old master, its deep intensity piercing straight into his soul. He moved slowly but steadily, as though he was treading on a soul-snatching token.
