Chapter 81: 81, Suddenly, Qinghuan was scared

Chapter 81: 81, Suddenly, Qinghuan was scared

After finishing dessert, Song Qinghuan went to the washroom and saw that the spot where Han Qianqian had been sitting was now empty.

She had left, likely from not being able to bear their “intimacy”, like him cutting her steak and her feeding him from so far away that she couldn’t hear their conversation but only see their interaction.

Qinghuan admitted that she too, was about to be driven away by the chilling vibe of that cold man.

If she could, she would love to switch places with Han Qianqian.

When she returned to the private room, Shi Yuhuan had already paid the bill and softly said, “Let’s go.”

Song Qinghuan nodded, picked up her bag, lowered her head and took the lead to leave. 𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒑𝒖𝒃.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Shi Yuhuan followed behind her, watching the back of her head, without uttering a word.

Outside the restaurant, Song Qinghuan still kept her head down: “Thanks for the lunch, I’ll go first!” She didn’t even glance at him once, then turned and left.

Shi Yuhuan watched her retreating figure, his lips moved as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he didn’t. Climbing into his car, he drove away.

As Song Qinghuan hailed a taxi on the road side, she saw Shi Yuhuan back out of his parking spot, turn his car around, and slowly drive past her.

Sitting in the driver’s seat, Shi Yuhuan was as cold as ever, gazing straight ahead without so much as one sidelong glance at her.

Watching the direction in which his car disappeared, Song Qinghuan pouted: “He’s unreasonable, selfish, cold-hearted and needs a good beating. What’s so great about him…”

After venting out her frustrations, she felt relieved and finally flagged down a taxi.

Upon meeting with Mei Jun, their light bickering quickly made her forget about Shi Yuhuan’s existence.

That night, Song Qinghuan stayed at Mei Jun’s place. The following Sunday morning, they woke up early to go hiking.

In the afternoon, they made dumplings together, and finally, she had dinner at Mei Jun’s before heading home.

As she opened the door to her villa, Song Qinghuan began to take off her coat. She was exhausted from a full day of fun and all she wanted was to quickly take a shower and get a good night’s sleep.

She removed her coat, let down her ponytail, and was about to take off her T-shirt.

In the dimly lit room, she didn’t expect anyone to be there — Shi Yuhuan had told her she’d be living alone.

So when a magnetic, low and mildly tempting voice saying, “You’re back!” gently sounded in her ear, Song Qinghuan was shocked and couldn’t help but let out a scream. She quickly pulled her half-removed T-shirt back on and turned around.

The light switched on at that moment, and she saw a massive dog, Zishi, running towards her.

Although she had a previous “close encounter” with Zishi, seeing it running at her like this still scared Song Qinghuan. Her heart jumped into her throat and she instinctively stepped back a few paces.
