Chapter 97: 97, generosity will be reciprocated, I will reciprocate with a knife

Hurriedly heading home, Song Qinghuan’s pace became increasingly disjointed, moving straight towards the villa behind. As she turned a corner, a tall figure suddenly appeared in front of her.

He was emerging from the villa, looking the same as he had in the morning, donned in an ivory white sweater and beige trousers. His handsome face bore an expression of frigid indifference, devoid of any perturbation due to her appearance.

Just as they were about to collide, Song Qinghuan abruptly halted her rushed steps to avoid crashing into him.

Upon lifting her gaze, she found herself held captive by a pair of indifferent and ice cold eyes!

Shi Yuhuan gave her a frosty glance and then prepared to leave after retracting his gaze.

Song Qinghuan acted without thinking, reaching out to grab his sleeve, she gasped and said, “Wait!”

Shi Yuhuan cast his eyes down at her once again. His black eyes, as chilly and deep as midnight, coupled with a few playful wisps of ebony hair that fell onto his forehead, further amplified his emotionless coldness, making him look mysteriously alluring.

“What is it?” he asked nonchalantly.

Song Qinghuan lifted her dissatisfied gaze, staring at him with a face full of complaints, as she tried to find the right words.

“Did you just get dumped?” Shi Yuhuan asked calmly. With a poisonous remark he added, “You look like a wronged woman, utterly hideous.”

Dumped? Wronged? Hideous? This venom-tongued man’s insults were as contemptible as his character.

Song Qinghuan, both biting her lip and pouting, glared at him for a while but did not speak.

“Let go!” Shi Yuhuan lightly shook his hand and effortlessly broke free from Song Qinghuan’s grasp.

“Pig-head!” He added just as he was about to step forward.

This instantly set Song Qinghuan off, causing her to lose control and charge at Shi Yuhuan like a raging bull, letting out a string of furious ‘ah’s.

Just as she was about to collide with him, Shi Yuhuan unexpectedly turned around, causing Song Qinghuan to crash headfirst into his arms.

Ouch! It felt like running into a block of iron.

Song Qinghuan raised her head, nursing her bruised forehead. She thought resentfully, ‘He must be made of stone, that’s why he’s so cold and nothing like a normal person.’

“Throwing yourself into my arms? Hmm?” Shi Yuhuan gazed down at her with a deviant smirk, looking incredibly enigmatic.

Song Qinghuan’s face instantly turned crimson as she shouted in a mix of embarrassment and irritation, “In your dreams! Throwing myself into your arms? I’d rather throw a knife. I’m here to settle scores with you. You are not Shi Mu at all, why did you admit to being Shi Mu?”

Leaning against a tree, Shi Yuhuan crossed his arms, positioned his legs with an elegant crossed-ankle stance, his icy gaze steadily locked onto Song Qinghuan as he counter-questioned her, “When did I ever admit that I was Shi Mu?”
