The battle in the outskirts was over, but the true crisis had only just begun.
Deep within the heart of the Elven Continent, something far worse stirred.
The waves of monsters weren't just random outbreaks from the dungeons—they were being controlled, guided by something ancient and sinister. It was certainly the work of the enemy under the command of one or two apostles.
Noire, still in her World Devourer Wolf form, and Alice, her amber eyes glowing, stood atop a mountain ridge, gazing down at the endless sea of abominations swarming through the massive, ancient forest below.
The once sacred lands of the elves were now a battlefield, the once-pristine trees now scorched, shattered, and covered in blood.
Alice exhaled softly, unbothered by the destruction.
"How nostalgic," she murmured.
Noire let out a low growl. "You've seen this before?"
Alice tilted her head, a hint of amusement in her violet gaze. "A world devoured, yes. This? This is merely a prelude."
She recalled the memories implanted in her during her creation as they were trying influence her, to turn her into the perfect tool for extermination. Shaking her head he focused her attention ahead.
Meanwhile, Noire bared her massive fangs, her crimson eyes narrowing. "Then let's end this farce before it gets worse."
And with that—
They descended into the abyss of war.
The moment Noire and Alice entered the battlefield, the monsters reacted instantly.
Hundreds of corrupted wyverns, their wings tattered and their bodies oozing black sludge, screeched from the sky and dove toward them.
On the ground, an endless horde of beast-like creatures, their forms warped by chaotic energy, lunged forward.
Their roars shook the earth as they surged like an unstoppable tide.
But—
Noire was faster.
With a single mighty leap, she launched herself into the air, her massive body twisting mid-flight—
SLASH!
Her razor-sharp claws cut through dozens of wyverns at once, black blood raining down like a storm.
She didn't stop.
BOOOM!
She landed in the center of the horde, her impact creating a shockwave so powerful it sent monsters flying in every direction.
She lunged forward, her jaws snapping shut around a massive, six-legged chimera.
CRUNCH!
She ripped it in half, its chaotic essence devoured in an instant.
Her black fur shimmered, her power growing with every enemy she consumed.
The monsters hesitated for the first time.
Their instincts screamed at them to flee.
But before they could—
Alice made her move.
She raised a hand, and an ancient spell circle the size of a city formed in the sky.
Her voice was soft, almost a whisper—yet it echoed across the battlefield.
"Starfall."
The sky darkened.
And then—
BOOOOOM!
Massive celestial spears of violet energy rained from the heavens, each one obliterating everything in its path.
The ground split apart, craters formed, and thousands of monsters were reduced to nothing but dust.
The battlefield was wiped clean in an instant.
Noire let out an amused growl. "Overkill much?"
Alice smiled faintly. "Efficiency."
After obliterating the first wave, the two moved deeper into the heart of the continent.
The deeper they went, the stronger the monsters became.
Noire sniffed the air, her massive ears twitching. "Something isn't right…"
Alice closed her eyes, sensing the disturbance in the flow of mana.
And then—
The ground trembled.
A massive chasm split open before them, and from its depths, a colossal, ancient creature emerged.
A Behemoth.
But not just any Behemoth—this one was warped beyond recognition, its body covered in jagged black crystals, its eyes burning with pure madness.
It let out a roar so powerful that the very air around them cracked and distorted.
Noire grinned, revealing rows of razor-sharp fangs. "Finally, a worthy meal." 𝖓𝔬𝔳𝖕𝖚𝖇.𝖈𝔬𝔪
Alice, however, frowned slightly. "Be careful. That thing isn't natural. Something—or someone—is controlling it."
But Noire wasn't listening.
She launched herself at the Behemoth, her claws slicing through the air like blades.
The beast reacted instantly, swinging its massive tail toward her—
BOOOM!
Noire took the hit head-on, her massive body slamming through several trees.
Dust and debris filled the air.
But—
Before the Behemoth could celebrate its minor victory—
A monstrous pressure erupted from the dust cloud.
And then—
A larger, darker, more terrifying form emerged.
Noire had grown bigger, her body now covered in black lightning, her eyes glowing like burning stars.
"My turn."
She vanished—
And reappeared above the Behemoth's head.
CHOMP!
Her jaws clamped down, her fangs sinking into its skull, crushing it like a piece of fruit.
The Behemoth shrieked, trying to resist—
But Noire's Devourer ability was absolute.
The black crystals on its body shattered, its chaotic energy forcefully ripped away.
And then—
BOOOOOM!
The Behemoth collapsed, its massive form turning into nothing but a hollow husk.
Noire let out a satisfied growl, licking the blood from her lips. "Tasty."
Alice sighed. "Disgusting."
Noire chuckled, stretching her massive frame before finally reverting to her humanoid form, her black hair cascading down her back, her black abyss like eyes still glowing faintly.
"Well, that was fun. Should we keep going?"
Alice nodded, her eyes narrowing as she gazed into the dark depths of the forest.
"Yes. We're not done yet."
The War Continues.
The two girls pressed on, their journey far from over.
Because deep within the forest, something far worse than monsters was waiting for them.
And Noire and Alice would face it head-on—without hesitation.
Because they were monsters in their own right.
And no matter how dark the abyss became—
They would always be darker.
Meanwhile, Incursio appeared at the gigantic tree, the world tree. She immediately teleported to the highest level after receiving authorization. She arrived at the meeting place where a beautiful green haired beauty was waited, Typhania the eleven empress, well not really her but a clone. She was busy at the moment thus she sent her clone to meet her.
Incursio sighed wondering how stronger this woman had become. She couldn't see through her at all, even if it was a clone she could still feel her strength but failed to do so which meant she had progrsssed beyond her understanding.
"Let's go!" Typhania's clone said leading them beyond the barrier of the world tree.
