Lanci now dared not look in the direction of the audience below the stage.
The vast auditorium was eerily quiet.
Thousands of gazes felt like thousands of blades.
Watching him perform a soliloquy.
He was desperately trying to save the situation.
Gradually, Lanci felt like he couldn’t cope anymore.
It was just like when he first went to the Poseen Kingdom, bewildered by Tata’s antics.
"Dear Lady Goddess, could you please help me? Just give me a clue about her, and I’m willing to continue to do good deeds for the rest of my life! If you think I’m guilty, then please punish me directly!"
Lanci could only look up to the sky, raising both hands, pleading.
In the distance,
"Lanci… I’m sorry…!"
Talia murmured in a guilt-laden whisper.
She hurried backstage near the curtain, pulled off her shoes, and threw them towards Lanci.
Bang!
Tata’s shoe hit Lanci squarely on the head.
Lanci fell to the ground on cue.
Talia, in her evening gown, maintained her throwing pose, stunned.
"..."
Abigail, following behind, covered her face.
And let out a sound that was either crying or laughing.
She was beginning to suspect that these two were here just to mess with her.
"Oh!"
A gasp came from the audience.
"So praying to the goddess really works?"
"They’ve even adapted the original story, actually giving it more of a romantic flair than Cinderella accidentally losing a shoe!"
The audience discussed.
...
At Saint Kray Terre Monastery.
In Ursula’s dormitory.
Both were lying at the foot of the bed, watching the screen.
Their hair was wet, not blow-dried after the shower, waiting to dry naturally.
Tonight, after Elsa and Ursula were sent back to school, Elsa was still very scared, so Ursula generously invited her to sleep in her dorm.
So Elsa came to Ursula’s dorm with Little Black Cat.
Conveniently, the brother’s Little Black Cat could protect them together.
"Miqing Caisan!"
Ursula shouted as she saw the Governor fall.
Even though she had read the original, she couldn’t guess the plot of tonight’s film release.
"It’s a pity we didn’t go see it today."
Elsa remarked.
She initially thought that the cinematic release of "Holy War Romance" wouldn’t be much different from the usual performances, but it turned out to have surprises every few acts.
"Actually, if you had asked Landry to take you, he probably would have agreed. I’ve realized he’s actually easy-going."
Ursula bumped Elsa with her shoulder, slyly smiling.
"You shouldn’t leave the Monastery for a while now; we can’t keep causing trouble for your brother."
Elsa vehemently shook her head in disagreement.
"Your brother is lucky to have such a considerate sister like you."
Ursula chuckled.
And a willful sister like her was definitely not liked by anyone.
She envied Elsa but couldn’t say it.
Ursula concealed the mess in her heart, turned her head, and poked the Little Black Cat lying next to her.
"Little Black Bread, why aren’t you speaking?"
She noticed that the little black cat had been intently staring at the play for a long time.
It no longer acted as lively as before but was seriously appreciating the scene.
"Meow…"
Cat Boss felt uneasy.
These two on stage, don’t they look too much like Lanci and Tata?
It couldn’t figure out how these two could possibly storm the stage and become the leads, continuously denying this possibility in its mind.
And did they not know that today was the premiere?
But now it couldn’t assert whether these two were indeed Lanci and Tata, knowing they had gone to the theater, daring to make this wild guess.
Luckily, Hugh wasn’t there.
Watching these two mess around on stage, even Cat Boss couldn’t help but worry for them.
The scene continued.
Until several seconds passed.
"Thank you... Lady Goddess..."
Lanci, holding his head and feeling dizzy, stood up.
He had never suffered like this before.
He looked toward the distant backdrop from where the Cinderella figure had vanished.
"Mysterious beauty, who are you? Why, why did you leave in such a hurry? This Magic Shoe is the only token you left me..."
The Governor clenched the Magic Shoe tightly, teeth gritted, then turned around, stood there love-struck, his face filled with melancholy.
The stage lights dimmed gradually, and the Governor exited desolately.
"Well played, that was truly well done!"
The audience applauded enthusiastically.

Cat Boss felt as if it had been struck by lightning.
Can’t you all see?
This was clearly a stage accident, why are you all clapping and cheering?!
