Tolyado watched Lanci and Talia exchanging words, a rare spark of interest gradually lighting up in his eyes.
"So that’s how it is..."
Tolyado murmured.
"What’s the matter?"
Talia asked Tolyado.
"Nothing, I just roughly understood your current identities and relationship."
Tolyado nodded,
"I’m really happy to see you again, Talia, Lanci."
He revealed a smile that had been absent for a long time.
"Yabo, let me tell you, in that Old Demon World annihilation battle, we could have fought it out if you had been there, maybe we could have escaped together, without the beasts scattering and being defeated one by one."
Talia remembered this important matter as soon as she saw Tolyado.
She felt a need to get it off her chest.
Back then, they had only one general left, and as it turned out, the general had abandoned them first.
"Wow, you have no idea what was happening on my end! Three eighth-order generals were chasing and beating me; I’ve never seen such a big fight!"
Tolyado complained with a horrified expression.
In his entire life, he narrowly escaped death dozens of times, but he had no good memories of being besieged.
"I misjudged you..."
Talia replied guiltily.
It seemed that if Yabo hadn’t drawn all the hatred away, she and Isatia couldn’t have escaped either.
Luckily, Tolyado had special spatial attributes, otherwise, another general might not have been able to escape.
"I’ve been hanging around the Protoss Empire just thinking that one day, if I’m lucky, I could rescue the three old fellows, but unfortunately, those three Great Demon Clan trials aren’t quite right for me, I might fall before them."
Tolyado explained to Talia his plans over the years.
He was actually quite suitable for prison break, once successful, he could expend a huge amount of mana to directly teleport the Great Demon Clansmen away, but the vast Magic Fluctuation would also be discovered by Empire Sage Isis, so he only had one chance, before he finishes his business on the South Continent, he can’t attempt it yet.
"I don’t think you’re someone who is afraid of dying, at least The Suspended Road of Reincarnation at Negative Sixth doesn’t threaten you, can’t you pass the Hopeless Extinction War at Negative Fifth?"
Talia asked him.
She had heard about the structure of Herram Prison from Antanas and the others.
In her mind, a heartless person like Yabo shouldn’t be afraid of the Fallen Wonderland.
"Yes, that’s right."
Tolyado nodded.
Abigail gave Tolyado a glance and didn’t speak.
"But I thought about it, and that day, Lanci, you must have defeated Asksan by rescuing Antanas and the others, right? Otherwise, I really can’t think of any way you could have won against Asksan and Morotian."
Tolyado asked.
"Of course, they’re now in Ichrite, tasked with a very important job..."
Lanci relayed to Tolyado the previously urgent topic he had discussed with Isatia in the underground palace.
Including the reason why the Blood Clan tried to assassinate Hyperion and the encounter with Landry on their way.
In Talia’s view, Tolyado was trustworthy.
Lanci was also willing to trust this highly reliable Northern Continent teammate.
"Ah, Landry..."
Tolyado seemed to sort through many things in an instant and muttered in a disappointed tone,
"And I was wondering why I suddenly couldn’t find Migaya... sure enough, he was targeted by the Blood Clan."
"You know Duke Migaya?"
Lanci was surprised to find this unexpected clue.
His last remaining civil commission was to find Duke Migaya; it was unexpected to come across a lead again.
Logically, Tolyado shouldn’t have anything to do with Migaya.
"But of course, I was counting on him to help me surrender to the Church of the Goddess of Destiny."
Tolyado wanted to say something but stopped himself, then he said to Lanci and Talia,
"Anyway, don’t worry, I’ll definitely help you with rescuing Migaya. Leave that Marquis Somerset to me."
He had established the Silvermoon Reform Association outside of the Dimensional Branch specifically to gather forces to cleanse the Cerryti Empire.
The death of Landry, without a doubt, resulted from the Blood Clan Divination finding some information, regardless of whether he was a member of the Silvermoon Reform Association, simply because he was Elsa’s brother, he was designed by the Blood Clan, leaked information to the Allied Forces, and had Landry killed by their hand.
What the Blood Clan’s Divination failed to predict was that there was someone on that train car who could take Landry’s place — thus deceiving the Blood Clan and creating the illusion that Landry wasn’t killed.
He had the Mark of Great Demon Clan, the "Mark of True" from Pranay’s Divination system, and avoided the future foreseen by Seventh Ancestor Marquess Helitier.
"I’m sorry about Landry."
Lanci said to Tolyado and Abigail.
"I think Landry would thank you."
Abigail sighed sadly, her eyes drooping.
Everything seemed like destiny; Landry’s prayer to the Goddess of Destiny brought him the punishment he longed for, but in turn, his death achieved a miracle-like value, perhaps as a devout transaction with the deity because McCarthy indeed had the power to help Landry save his sister and also protected Elsa for Landry.
"Please continue to use his identity."
Tolyado granted permission.
If it were anyone else, he wouldn’t agree to let them continue to impersonate Landry, but McCarthy was an exception; he was truly someone who could make good use of that identity and pay back Landry.
"I’ll trouble you to lend me Landry’s identity for now, and after everything is settled, I’ll make sure to properly erect a monument and bury him."
