A tuft of cotton-like cloud quietly drifted across the clear sky, the bright morning light dimmed instantly.

Lanci observed the furrowed brows on Hyperion’s face. He sensed she may have misunderstood something.

His teacher was not a human at all.

There was no reason to disdain Hyperion.

The issue was - Talia assumed Lanci didn’t know she was of the Demon Race, and she’s been posing as a human.

Even if Talia doesn’t dislike Hyperion, she will inevitably act as if she does, to maintain her disguise!

After all, that cold-hearted old hag Talia wouldn’t consider Hyperion’s feelings or worry about hurting her.

"Er, my teacher is actually just like me, treating the Demon Race equally, she doesn’t dislike them at all. But she has a bad temper and seems to disdain everyone. In case she’s mean to you, please don’t take it to heart... so later, when her mood is better, I will introduce you to her. She’s actually quite interesting, and we might even be able to hire her as a technical consultant for our company!"

Lanci laughed heartily, and then said.

"Okay."

Hyperion nodded seriously. She believed what Lanci said.

A teacher who could educate a student like Lanci must also be a person who does not discriminate against the Demon Race.

Lanci immediately resumed his serious demeanor:

"Although it’s difficult to apprehend the mole from the Rebirth Church in the school, I’ve got another way to catch the cult members of the Rebirth Church."

"What?"

"Since the Rebirth Church wants to meet us in the Shadow World, we’ll simply play their game. We’ll set up a special task force and focus on capturing the purveyor of the cult in the next Shadow World! Cults are like cancerous tumors threatening societal stability, for the sake of our friends and family, for the harmony and happiness of our nation and city, cracking down on cult activities is urgent!"

Lanci’s words were filled with a sense of responsibility and faith. As a passionate citizen who firmly believes in love and justice, he couldn’t wait to bring the cult organization to justice.

He was well aware of the national laws.

In the Shadow World, even if they captured members of the Rebirth Church, they couldn’t immediately bring them back to the real world to hand over to the government.

The law clearly states: "If a challenger encounters a Resurrection Believer in the Shadow World, they should prioritize their own safety first. They can use any means available to respond; even if they inadvertently kill the believer, the challenger will not bear any legal responsibility."

In other words, anything goes when dealing with Resurrection Believers in the Shadow World.

Interrogating them to educate them on their morals and ethics is certainly not a problem!

"Hiss——!"

If Hyperion was entering the Shadow World for the first time, she would only feel that Lanci needed a mental check-up after hearing his plan.

But now, hearing what Lanci said, she felt the plan was unexpectedly feasible!

Lanci in the Shadow World was like a ghost.

Last time, they didn’t have enough time to interrogate Lilette, the fugitive cult member from the wanted list.

If they collide with cult members again in the next Shadow World, and they are prepared to be proactive, they might be able to capture them!

Then they could extract information for a comprehensive preparation for their infiltration mission into the Rebirth Church in the Northern Continent.

Not to mention, they have a heavyweight player, Frey, who has also joined their team.

However.

Making such a move, who’s the real Resurrection Church??

Hyperion felt like if they kept this up, she would have her Demon Cityship confiscated!

The gentle breeze rustled, tugging at their clothes. The plants seemed to be waving their branches and leaves in greeting. The quiet stream flowing through the Alchemical Institute Botanic Garden made a soft sound. With every passing moment, the wind carried an increasing scent of flowers along with a humid texture. n𝚘𝚟𝚙u𝚋.co𝚖

"We have about a month of cooldown time left before we can go to the Shadow World, just in time for me to sit in on an exam conducted by the Cardmaker’s Association."

As the pair resumed their walk, they chatted along the forest path.

Generally, their student council activities weren’t too heavy, leaving them with plenty of time to relax.

The president, Monasite, was very pleased that these first-year newcomers were willing to team up to challenge the Shadow World. This would bring the student council quite a few unexpected team points, allowing them to organize many reward events funded by the school.

"The unfortunate thing is that the timing of the next Shadow World coincides with the academic visit to the Academy of Arolan Kingdom that senior Monasite mentioned."

Just two days after the three of them entered the Shadow World, the academic delegation from the Arolan Kingdom would probably arrive.

The president assured them that they could focus on challenging the Shadow World, without wasting any cooldown time. The friendly reception of the Student Council would be handled by him and the vice president. If they were short-handed, they could even call back the elusive secretary to help.

"If we finish the next Shadow World quickly, by the time we return, we might be able to share some of the workload and welcome the guests from the Arolan Kingdom Academy."

Hyperion replied with a smile.

When they would come out of the Shadow World, if possible, they could welcome the members of the academic visit. Then, they will only need to prepare for about another month before winter break.

If everything goes well, they could leave for the Northern Continent for their holiday research project.

Everything was neatly arranged.

However, Hyperion soon looked at Lanci with surprise.

"Lanci, can you make magic cards?"

Hyperion had always thought Lanci could only make some simple magic tools!

After all, the test to become a registered card-making master was no small feat, surely it wouldn’t be an easy task that any amateur cardmaker could pass simply by luck.

So, seems like Lanci’s card-making skills were quite exceptional.

Could it be that those characteristically unique newborn cards Lanci had were all made by him?

Hyperion stared at Lanci in surprise.

"Of course, once I improve my skills a bit more, our team will have its own Battlefield Card Maker. And in the future, you won’t need to go to the Cardmaker’s Association for cards."

Lanci said with a grin,

"The magic cards I make are awesome!"

"You really are gifted, Lanci."

Looking at Lanci, Hyperion couldn’t help but beam a warm smile.

The clouds in the sky finally drifted away, restoring its original brightness.

The sun illuminated the little path again, gracing the emerald forest with shimmering colors.

"It’s said that among the visiting students from the Arolan Kingdom, there’s one really talented magic artisan who specializes in wind magic and plans to observe the [Original Tablet of Wind] with Dean Loren. Our student council doesn’t have any students from the Magic Engineering College. The president originally thought we would be seen as ignorant in the field, but now it looks like Lanci will have to uphold our reputation."

In the student council, both the president Monasite and the never-seen secretary were students of Alchemy College, majoring in business and intelligence respectively. Vice President Asina was a third-year student at Sage Academy, Frey was from Knight College, but they did not have any students from Magic Engineering College.

Not many magic artisans joined the student council in the past.

Compared to handling the troublesome school affairs, they would rather spend time researching magic engineering. Joining teams not only makes it easier to get through the Shadow World, but the magic artisans also held quite a high status as backup personnel.

Lanci, a magic artisan in the Sage Academy, was a rare sight. However, he didn’t possess the various casting skills that the students of Sage Academy excelled in.

Hyperion was discovering more and more about Lanci’s talents.

In addition to being a "White Magician", he now held the roles of lawyer, principal, and magic artisan, making her wonder what else he would learn next.

"Alright, this month I must practice making third-order magic cards diligently, aiming to pass the exam in one go and elevate to a higher level. I’ve heard that wearing the Card-making Master’s identity ornament is very prestigious."

"Next month, when you take your card-making master exam, I’ll come along and cheer for you."

"No problem!"

Lanci and Hyperion were leisurely strolling on the lawn not far from the Old Literature Building, holding chilled, sweet and sour juice in their hands, chatting and laughing, their voices filled with relaxation and contentment.
