After the turmoil, everything inside the Governor’s Office settled down. 𝘯𝑜𝘷𝘱𝘶𝑏.𝘤𝘰𝑚
Occasionally, there was still the insane roaring of Anello, like he had neverending anger to vent out. His hair disheveled over his forehead, despite several guards holding him down, he continued to struggle incessantly.
There was a blood-red flame burning in Anello’s eyes that seemed to spread out. The flame swallowed his rationality, made him forget his circumstances, the veins on his forehead bulged, and he continued to struggle. Even though he could not move, the force of his intent to tear Lanci apart drove him to try desperately regardless of the consequences.
"Rocky!!!"
Anello’s grinding teeth echoed in trembling anger around the office.
"You lowly worm! I·will·kill·you!!"
Against his state, Lanci gently put down the little cat cuddled in his arms on the couch.
He strolled over to his office window, pulled back the curtain, and a pure, golden natural light shone in. All the conflict and entanglement seemed to be cleansed by this sunlight, leaving only freshness.
Sikder stretched leisurely, picking up the cat boss that had just settled beside her on the couch. The little black cat was now hers.
In the entire office, you could hear faint breathing and chirping of the birds outside during the short moments of silence.
Lanci looked out the window, disregarding Anello completely, like he was giving him time to cool down.
"Rocky—! You’re also approaching your end... You both despicable men and women will die! All will die!!!"
Such disregard drove Anello to further madness.
As Anello exhaustedly roared, Lanci leaned against the window sill and let out a sigh.
"When you were crying and begging for me to spare your life, I felt a little bit of compassion. After all, I once had a student who I couldn’t save."
Lanci turned around and looked at Anello on the floor, as if he was reminded of a female student he had encountered in the Cathedral Shadow World.
His eyes concealed a wisdom and insight accumulated over the years, filled with hopes and concerns for his students, like an aging principal dealing with a student who had made a grave, irreparable mistake.
He approached Anello, not angry about Anello’s attitude, just tinged with mild regret.
The room was filled with sunlight, only Anello was shrouded in shadow.
Despite that, Anello still glared fiercely at Lanci with a scornful, sinister smile at the corner of his mouth,"No one can judge me, Rocky! No one! You can kill if you want! Your fate too is imminent, all of you will be killed by Lord Asksan!!"
He was well aware of the terrible seal inflicted on Sigrid.
Unless a ninth-order mage skilled in sealing magic could undo it for her, she would never regain her eighth-order strength in this life!
A Cardinal Bishop, a slab bearer who has lost his powers will become the prey of the entire Northern Continent!
And no one will shelter them!
Soon, the Bishop of Nirvana will be back and exterminate everyone related to the Hegemony Branch.
Just thinking of the impending doom of these temporarily victorious people in front of him, Anello could only laugh madly.
"Ha, ha, ha, ha!"
Anello was like a volcano on the brink of eruption. Despite being in an obvious desperate situation, he held his head high with disdain. Each shout, each glance, each expression of his was mocking the ignorance of the people in front of him, despising everything before him.
"Admirable courage."
Lanci stared at Anello.
No matter how much Anello provoked, he remained unmoved. A principal is just a principal, he won’t really fight his students.
Throughout his educational career, he had seen many misguided students, but a student like Anello was the first.
"But it doesn’t matter, our school has a mature education system."
He moved his right hand, gently picked up the communication terminal receiver next to his desk, brought it to his ear, and looked kind and merciful from his emerald green eyes,
"Help me contact Count Shaar Candis, and ask him to come to my Governor’s Office."
Lanci put the receiver back in place.
A few minutes later, the wooden door of the Governor’s office slowly opened.
A young nobleman with flaxen hair walked in, he was wearing a Northern noble hunting suit embroidered with the Quinston Family crest, the metal on his cuffs and collar was shining under the light, highlighting his skin as white as snow. Compared to when Lanci and Sikder first saw him, his eyes had already become calm, and composed.
"Teacher, what do you need me to do?"
Shaar immediately took a few steps forward, came to Lanci, and bent slightly in a deep knightly bow with respect and joy in his voice.
Lanci nodded, expressing his appreciation of Shaar.
He pressed Shaar’s shoulder, glanced at Anello, then turned his gaze to Shaar, his voice steady, "Shaar, take him to the underground prison of Chinston City, see if his will is really that strong."
"Hahahaha! Do you think changing the place will make me afraid?"
Anello seemed to be amused by Lanci’s "scary" suggestion, his sinister and terrifying laughter made the entire office vibrate, echoing between the four walls,
"You bunch of bootlicking dogs, do you know who I am? I’m Anello! What kind of torture haven’t I seen? What kind of torture haven’t I used?!"
His body was restricted, his spirit was wild, and he just felt their threats were ridiculously stupid!
What was a prison supposed to be?!
He’s always been above the rules!
"Or let me execute him."
Sikder, who was sitting on the sofa, frowned. She clenched her fist, almost unable to stand the Saint of Nirvana any longer.
"Trust me, leave it to me."
All Lanci did was turn around and look at Sikder with a gentle gaze.
"..."
Sikder, holding the cat boss, fell silent again.
She hadn’t actually seen Lanci use torture.
But to break Anello, an absolute lowlife and madman, it’s probably not a job an average interrogator could do.
His previous plea for mercy was just acting to win Loren’s sympathy, the Saint of Nirvana was the most brutal and inhuman existence, who had survived Askansan’s cruel elimination selection and fought his way through the bloody path.
"You must satisfy me, or I won’t sleep well tonight."
Sikder said, agreeing to let Lanci take full responsibility.
After Lanci and Sikder finished talking, Shaar gently nod his head, gesture to those few guards to take Anello away.
Two elite members of the Guards grabbed Anello’s arms, another Heavy Warrior stuffed a towel into Anello’s mouth, then swiftly and adeptly covered Anello’s head with a sack, plunging his vision into darkness, and carried him away.
Anello’s body trembled violently, unable to speak, he tried to break free from the control of those elites, but it was all in vain, there was no way to shake their iron control.
Just like that, until the door of the Governor’s Office was slowly closed.
