It’s nearly three in the afternoon at Protoss Royal Magic Academy. The campus north main road is filled with a unique tranquility.
Earlier, traces of a clear sky remained, making these historically rich buildings appear even more majestic under the warm afternoon sun. However, as time passed, the sky gradually became enveloped by a layer of gray clouds.
In the campus residential district, almost all students would pick up an umbrella when leaving their homes. Even without looking at the sky, one could sense the freshness and dampness in the air. The anticipation of the coming rainfall was evident in the trees and grasslands.
Three professors are walking down the campus road towards the Hong Meng De Administrative Building. Their relaxed strides and warm conversation reflect a familiarity between old friends.
"I’m actually a little nervous. This is my first time meeting the New King since I officially took office."
Sinola touched her chest, expressing her slight apprehension.
She maintained her calm and ladylike demeanor, her eyes firmly closed as if immersed in her own world. However, her aura was impossible to overlook.
Her long-sleeved silk dress fluttered gently in the wind, and her occasional words were spoken softly.
It all started when Antanas came to her house to find her.
After Antanas happily returned home to change his clothes, he immediately took a leisure stroll to their houses. Catching the siblings unawares, he chatted with them endlessly over lunch.
So they spent the whole afternoon together.
Sinola and Pranay, both of whom possess calm personalities, didn’t mind Antanas’ chatter and attentively listened to him.
They were indeed very interested in topics related to the New King.
"Don’t worry, I’ve seen the New King’s true appearance. She’s indeed very beautiful, but still kind and friendly."
Antanas patted Sinola’s shoulder, grinning as he spoke.
In contrast to Sinola, Antanas was dressed in a leather vest, tight leather pants, and high boots.
Among the three professors, she looked least like a senior professor and more like an instructor who maintains a close relationship with the students.
Her stride was firm yet playful, her androgynous beauty intertwining with the sunlight and imminent raindrops to create a unique charm. She was sure to dance joyfully even in the rain.
Antanas knew that due to the 24-hour cooldown period of the same [Transformation Technique: Human], the New King had not dispelled her transformation in layers five and six of the Herram Prison. Only on the fourth level did Antanas see her true Demon Race form.
"What does she look like?"
Sinola asked out of curiosity.
"Grey hair, blue eyes, and greatly resembles Talia from what I can remember. But their attitudes are completely different," Antanas explained.
"Ah."
Having not seen Talia in a century, Sinola couldn’t recall her specific appearance,
"Then I am reassured. When I meet the New King, I will definitely maintain proper etiquette."
Sinola was actually quite worried about leaving a bad impression on the New King due to their earlier altercation with Antanas.
As a young lady from a prestigious Demon World Aristocrat, Sinola cared deeply about her demeanor and the New King’s impression of her.
However, after hearing from Antanas that the New King retained her gentleness despite her transformations, Sinola was put at ease. She resolved to be polite and graceful in the New King’s presence.
"..."
Walking behind Antanas and Sinola, Pranay listened to their conversation. His dark blue suit appeared exceptionally restrained and profound under the dim sunlight. His meticulous collar and cuffs signified his meticulousness and accuracy as a professor.
"You two stop discussing. We’re almost at the Hong Meng De Building. Be careful not to be overheard."
Perhaps the New King wouldn’t mind if she knew they were talking about her. However, Pranay didn’t want the New King to think that they were immature.
"Alright."
Antanas looked back at Pranay, puckering her lips as she nodded.
Despite Pranay’s cold demeanor which might create a sense of distance in ordinary people, his polite manners and respectful attitudes towards his younger sister and friend were evident.
After the destruction of the Demon Race, their relationship had become stronger than it had been a hundred years ago.
Perhaps because only a few known native clans were left, if they didn’t cherish each other now, they would truly end up alone in this world, a real solitude.
As Antanas, Sinola, and Pranay moved, curious eyes from the surrounding students were thrown their way.
Firstly, they seemed to have never seen professors as distinguished in temperament at school. But judging by the design of their nameplates, they should all be newly appointed senior professors.
As they neared the Hong Meng De Administrative Building, a brick structure adorned with dark gray bas-reliefs came into view.
The building radiated a solemn and ancient ambiance. Its stones and carvings were sedimented with history, the intricate patterns on the bas-relief manifesting the glory of the scholarly pursuits and knowledge of the Protoss Royal Magic Academy.
The three Great Demon Clan members used their work badges to enter the building’s spacious entrance and arrived at the hallway on the first floor.
The interior ceiling was over ten meters high, the warm and gentle lighting washing away the gloomy haze of the rainy weather outside.
In the spacious hallway, they saw a servant waiting for them from a distance.
It was a male student in the standard school uniform of the Protoss Royal Magic Academy.
"Professors, this way please. I will lead you to meet that person."
The flaxen-haired youth seemed to be a first-year student, but his demeanor was remarkably similar to that of a battle-hardened warrior of the demon race.
The beauty of his pale cheeks carried a hint of the morbid, and the gentleness radiating in his cold, deep black eyes was comparable to that of a king.
For a moment, Antanas, Sinola and Pranay all felt like they were looking at the leader of the Investigation Team of the Demon King’s Special Slaughter Troops from their past.
The trio exchanged glances, all uncertain as to whether this boy was one of their disguised Demon Race compatriots.
Under the receptionist’s guidance, the trio ascended the spacious stairwell.
"My young friend, where are you from?"
Pranay was curious about the other’s identity. Not wanting to bluntly question the boy’s origins, he asked rather subtly.
"I’m from a declining noble family in the eastern part of the Protoss Empire. However, I have made up my mind to marry into a family from the northern Xue Yuan Province. Thanks to the grace and lessons of my teacher, I’ve been able to start anew, and so, I want to repay him in any way I can," Shaar replied.
He and his fiancée, Lilith Chinston, had just arrived at the capital city of Herram the day before. Upon reaching the Protoss Royal Magic Academy, he received a message from the school principal asking him to act as the assistant of the Hong Meng De Administrative Building for a while. This job would also earn him academic credit and could be counted as a course.
