The next day.
"Today is your second day in the Floral City Pariel of the Poseen Kingdom."
"Early in the morning, you and Tata started your date..."
Cat Boss’s naive voice was cut off halfway by a simultaneous deathly glare from Lanci and Talia.
Little Black Cat shrank its head, turning back into a quiet, sugar-free, whole wheat bread.
In the streets of Pariel at dawn, a man and a woman move through the old-age style alleys of the North Shore.
They walked leisurely, as if the whole city was playing a laid-back tune for them.
The aroma of coffee emanated from the roadside cafes, while orchids, pansies, and Regal begonias in the brown-brick flower shops were particularly vibrant in the morning light, the dew on their petals glistening.
Lanci today was clad in a simple grey shirt jacket, appearing casual and nonchalant.
As for why grey, he said it was still to pay homage to that legendary mentor.
"By the way, does traveling together like this really increase our rapport?"
Talia asked.
They watched the morning bouquets carelessly on the streets, devoid of any couple-like feeling, seemingly bored with the idea of going out together.
As always, Talia was exceptionally beautiful without any need for dressing up, wearing a light white long dress. The hem swayed gently with her steps, a soft breeze from the old district tousling her grey long hair, making her look like an elf straight out of a painting, pure and beautiful.
The accommodation arranged by Countess Rosalinda, the Platinum Sen Palace Mental Hotel, is located in district two of Pariel, boasting an excellent location where one can walk to both the Platinum Sen Palace and Art Bridge.
One of the features of this hotel is that breakfast can be enjoyed in a "cave-like" space; additionally, it offers 24-hour reception to ensure the comfort and convenience of its guests.
Overall, the Platinum Sen Palace Mental Hotel perfectly combines traditional Poseen living experience with modern comfort facilities, making it an ideal choice of stay when touring Pariel.
"I don’t know."
Lanci, holding Cat Boss, said.
Since the hotel was very close to the two major attractions, they did not plan to rush to see them, as they could pass by at any time.
After heading out today, they unanimously decided to go to the bustling district of the North Shore.
As a melting pot of diverse cultures, the bustling district of Floral City Pariel not only showcased traditional art and cuisine of the Poseen Kingdom but also reflected influences from the Demon World of Poseen and around the globe.
The museums, art galleries, theaters, and concert halls in the city are testaments to this cultural fusion, with many cafes and bookstores having been gathering places for famous writers and thinkers.
"..."
Talia felt that when she was with Lanci in Nanwantina, it was similar to how they started each morning together, and she would return him home as the sun set.
But back then, their purposes were clear.
It was either to escort Lanci or to teach him Card Making.
Now, the two of them seemed idle.
In other words, she couldn’t find a specific purpose for going out today or whether their pursuit of "increasing rapport" could be realized.
It surely couldn’t just be a date.
"But that’s how Professor Bolao taught it."
Lanci shook his head, his tone rather listless.
Cooperating to turn "Calila’s Shadow Weave Record" into a Mental Series Magic Card seemed not so difficult for them, but in practice, there appeared to be an insurmountable obstacle.
It felt like they had run out of methods to increase their rapport in collaborative Card Making, so instead of futile practice, they might as well try Professor Bolao’s approach.
Caressed by the summer breeze of Pariel, Lanci couldn’t help but feel a wave of sleepiness overcome him, and he let out a lazy yawn.
Just last night, coming back to their hotel from Countess Rosalinda’s place, it was already past midnight.
He had planned on sleeping until nine or ten before going out, wanting to sneak in a lazy morning.
But Talia had conjured herself from her Magic Card state at seven in the morning and woke him up as well.
The reason was that she wanted to go downstairs for breakfast.
Lanci had no choice but to oblige her.
Ever since Talia and the Great Love Poet merged, she would revert to her Magic Card state to sleep every night, staying in Lanci’s Soul Space, reducing his Mana consumption and allowing him time to recover Mana.
This meant that when she woke up and regained consciousness, she would almost always wake up Lanci as well.
"Didn’t think you’d ever sleep in."
Talia mused to herself.
In Nanwantina, Lanci used to get up early and leave the house punctually every day; she didn’t expect that in reality he was not a morning person.
"Have you ever thought about who is the reason my Mana has been so massively consumed recently, saying that I am tired every day and I have a lot more sleepiness than before?"
Lanci asked, looking down at Talia beside him.
"..."
Talia was silent for a while,
"I understand, I’ll be more sparing with using your Mana from now on."
She said.
Massive consumption of Mana indeed leads to a sense of fatigue.
She had not contemplated that her use of Lanci’s Mana would significantly increase his tiredness; rather, she found this state of maintaining her Demon King form while still being able to move freely quite pleasant.
"What shall we have for lunch?"
Talia followed Lanci, with the city’s architectural scenery changing around them.
If it were a date, asking this would surely be right.
"..."
Lanci was slightly taken aback.
It was as if he hadn’t expected Talia to bring up this question so early in the morning, and it also felt like a question that was all too familiar.
"Le Jurlvina, located on the second level of the Pariel Rose Tower, offers a unique location and panoramic views of the Pariel city center, as well as high-end Poseen cuisine. It isn’t just a place to enjoy a meal, but also a prime location to experience the iconic views of Pariel."
