However, it was fortunate that both individuals were a handsome man and a beautiful woman—the man goes without saying, and the woman was not the type like Isatia from the Demon Race, who shamelessly romanced younger men with seemingly no sense of disgrace. Unlike the sight of Migaya and Isatia together, which made her scratch her heart out in frustration.

"Okay, I’ll arrange the registration process for the examination for you. The recommender and the recommended each fill out a form, and there’s no need to submit your information again, as I still have a backup of the previous documents,"

Countess Rosalinda sighed softly, taking out the communication magic device in the reception room and asking the assistant to bring another set of documents.

"You can take a look at the examination information first. Later on, there will be some content that only the examiners should hear, so I’ll have to ask sister Tata to step aside for a bit,"

She directed her assistant while speaking to the two of them.

Since the examination procedure was made public today, it was not a problem for the candidates to see the exam questions, which was within the normal process.

Ever since the Cardmaker’s Association of the South Continent issued their new rules according to the Solar Calendar of late, the Platinum Level Card Maker exam has comprised six different dimensions of questions.

Each iteration is a choice of six out of three, dependent on luck.

These include Magic Engineering Principles, Attribute Specialization, Deck Testing, Artistry, Theoretical Study, and Category Specialization.

"No problem."

Talia agreed.

She knew Lanci wouldn’t help her cheat, nor did she need Lanci’s help. This time, she would crush Carlen with her true ability and make her lose miserably.

Lanci picked up the documents and quickly skimmed through. 𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒑𝒖𝒃.𝙘𝒐𝒎

This year’s selected exam questions were [Magic Engineering Principles], [Deck Testing], [Artistry].

The exam was divided into three rounds, each testing different skills and knowledge areas.

The first round, Magic Engineering Principles, leaned toward a theoretical knowledge test, examining the candidate’s theoretical understanding and achievement in magic craftsmanship. It was highly likely to be chosen each year, and cardmakers who were adept in this area were often also skilled magic device craftsmen or magic artisans.

The second round, Deck Testing, was a practical skills test that required the candidate to use designated materials and tools within a limited time to complete one or multiple high-quality items. This was also the most difficult round; it paralleled the functionality of a Battlefield Card Maker, where a higher comprehensiveness in attributes and categories would be advantageous. Under certain restrictions, the cardmaker had to produce a strategy deck, while an Artificial Shadow World would initiate a real-combat simulation to determine if the deck could help AI-projected creatures pass the test, or direct simulation battle would take place.

The third round, Artistry, was an innovation challenge where candidates needed to demonstrate their indispensable and potentially profound foundation.

"Lanci, you’re in charge of being the deputy examiner for the first round of Magic Engineering Principles and the chief examiner for the third round of Artistry,"

Countess Rosalinda leaned over to point at the examination arrangement entry on the documents in Lanci’s hand.

This was the most information regarding the exam that Tata could hear.

The Platinum Level Card Maker exam consists of three rounds and has three examiners. Each round has a chief examiner and a deputy examiner, and the three examiners each take turns being the chief or deputy.

The chief examiner represents their strongest area, while the deputy represents a weaker area. To pass, a candidate must at least outperform the deputy examiner, proving they’ve reached the qualifying line for a Platinum Level Card Maker.

If one couldn’t even surpass the weak points of other Platinum Level Card Makers, they simply didn’t qualify for promotion.

"The chief examiner for the first round is Bruden Yizainha, a Platinum Level Card Maker from the Arolan Kingdom. He’s a good person, and you shouldn’t feel any pressure working with him. It was he who recommended Migaya. The second round will be he and I pairing up, and the third round will be you and me,"

Countess Rosalinda explained to Lanci.

The first round is this Saturday, the second on Wednesday next week, and the third on Sunday next week.

Between each round, candidates get three days to adjust, while examiners have ample rest time.

"Understood. Tomorrow I’ll dress in the uniform you gave me last time, sister, and the magic device mask that blocks probing, and I’ll probably arrive about two hours early. The location is at pavilion No. 1 of the Sacred Silvervine Arena, right?"

Lanci confirmed the critical items on the document with Rosalinda.

He had already taken the appropriate leave from Count Bathist’s estate and only needed to go there tomorrow morning to complete some necessary tasks before leaving early.

Talia silently looked at Lanci.

She knew that for someone as devoted to his duties as Lanci, every job was equally important.

He was truly a master of time management, managing to juggle two tasks in the same day.

"Right, we’ll be using the venue with the largest Artificial Shadow World activation terminal in Parriet. Anytime there’s an exam, the servitor competitions for the day will be suspended,"

Rosalinda felt that Lanci and Tata had probably already visited the Sacred Silvervine Arena in district 6, a famous attraction in itself.

As for the arena, the format for the three rounds of the exam would be different.

For the first round, [Magic Engineering Principles], it was primarily in the form of a seminar, with its own mechanisms in the Shadow World. The deputy examiner engages in a Q&A with the candidate, while the chief examiner reviews and scores.

The passing score is the one given by the chief examiner when reviewing the deputy’s score at the end.

Furthermore, the chief examiner has the authority to adjust the score line by up to plus or minus ten percent if the line is excessively high or low.

Usually, if the deputy examiner performs normally, the privilege isn’t needed.

However, if used, it could easily lead to a "challenge of the examiners" and scrutiny from the headquarters.
