An unbound masterless Magic Card is still in its encapsulated state, and it’s easy to determine its effect through means of identification magic.

"Lanci, before you use this card, give me a look..."

Hyperion felt like with Lanci having this card that can make everyone unhappy, future teaming up with him will be a torment...

The only thing Hyperion was grateful for is that now she had developed a resistance to Music Rhythm Magic.

"Okay."

Lanci nodded, gently reached out and grabbed the Magic Card in front of him that was radiating an orange light.

But as he gazed at the card, his brows furrowed slightly, seeming somewhat displeased.

"What’s wrong?"

Hyperion asked in confusion, "Is the effect not good?"

"No, I think the card’s name has a bad influence, when I get back, I need to find a master to help me change its card name."

Lanci said seriously.

In his past life, his country had strict requirements and high degree of harmonization for bloody and violent game texts and illustrative drawings.

Lanci also responded earnestly to this call.

"...What are you going to change it to?"

Hyperion sensed something wasn’t right.

"Just call it [Wonderful Note]."

Lanci responded calmly with a smile. 𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙥𝒖𝒃.𝙘𝙤𝒎

Hyperion: "..."

This card, originally not so pure, now was given a new flavour with a name change by Lanci.

Hyperion didn’t know what to say anymore.

She could only look with Lanci at the remaining two piles of purple halos, the Magic Cards for each of them.

The card in front of Lanci seemed to be a Spell Card woven from human magic texts —

[Transformation Technique: Demon]

[Category: Magic Card]

[Grade: Purple Rarity]

[Stage: 2]

[Effect: After use, you can change your race to Demon. It will not change your true features and characteristics. Cooldown time 24 hours.]

[Remark: This is the final Disguise Magic developed by the last survivor of the Empire Infiltration Squad, based on the forbidden surgical procedures of the imperial experimental field.]

In front of Hyperion was a Magic Card radiating a strong Demon Race aura —

[Transformation Technique: Human]

[Category: Magic Card]

[Grade: Purple Rarity]

[Stage: 2]

[Effect: After use, you can change your race to Human. It will not change your true features and characteristics. Cooldown time 24 hours.]

[Remark: This is a reverse Disguise Magic developed by Purgatory Corridor Academy, based on the principles of the forbidden surgical procedures of the imperial experimental field.]

"Sheesh, is the Shadow World trolling me?"

Lanci looked strangely at the [Transformation Technique: Demon].

Nevertheless, Hyperion was touching [Transformation Technique: Human] nervously, seeming even more excited than at any other time.

For her, this was a real card that could change her into a human.

Not the simple illusion magic she normally maintains in the actual world.

Moreover, based on the strength of the [Transformation Technique: Demon], which was able to deceive the checks of Demon Academy, its corresponding Magic Card, [Transformation Technique: Human], should have the ability to almost fully transform her into a human at all levels except the soul!

"Okay, time for a great harvest, can go back to sleep now."

Having received all the spoils, Lanci thought of returning to Ichrite Academy and a wave of sleepiness suddenly swept over him from his afternoon in the classroom yesterday.

He just wanted to go back to the dormitory and sleep till nightfall.

"Yeah, get some rest soon, even though it’s not early anymore."

Hyperion said, smiling.

Sometimes, what might seem like just an ordinary day might actually be the best day of one’s life.

She felt quite happy now. The feeling of each day dragging on like a year had vanished, and she even began to look forward to tomorrow’s arrival.

Just as the two were preparing to step into the Void Gate and leave the Fringe Space.

Unexpectedly, the scoreboard they thought was finished presented new information in blood-red text, that appeared out of thin air.

[Sequential Shadow World―Blood Moon Bad World, historical coordinates locked, current progress 1/4.]

[Before the completion of this Sequential Shadow World, the current challenger will have higher probability of entering the "Blood Moon Bad World" era Shadow World.]

[Reach SSS ranking to immediately unlock the next node.]

[Goal: Reach SSS ranking to complete the final node.]

"?"

"Blood Moon Bad World...?"

Both appeared puzzled at the sight of the newly emerged scoreboard information.

This vast world concealed numerous epochs from a distant past.

Centuries and millennia ago, countless kingdoms were born and extinguished, heroes were reduced to dust, all of which became history.

As the records of history became fragmented thousands of years ago, the chronicles of many more ancient epochs have been lost to oblivion.

Only through projections of history from the Shadow World can fragments be collected and historians have a chance to infer aspects of the past.

The most ancient known human history, dating back to about 20,000 years ago, was named the "Holy Country Demon World". It was a bygone era filled with creation myths, numerous holy wars, and heroic poems, an epoch where humanity rose to prominence.

Although there are no existing Shadow World accounts to prove how the Holy Country ended, neither have there been any Shadow World records supporting an era known as the "Blood Moon Bad World" among the nearly 20,000 years since the "Holy Country Demon World".

"Say, Hyperion, have you ever seen this Sequential Shadow World before?"

Lanci had never heard of a Sequential Shadow World in the game, nor had he read any related information in this world’s volumes.

"There were ancient records... If you successfully pass through the Shadow World and receive the highest evaluation, you might encounter them, but very few people meet this criterion. Taking the last step in the Sequential Shadow World is almost impossible. At least for the past thousand years, no one has been able to successfully complete the Sequential Shadow World mission."

Hyperion didn’t expect this hidden mission objective, only found in rumors, to turn up during his first trip to the Shadow World with Lanci.

"However, compared to personal rewards, the historic value of this kind of Shadow World is truly frightening. For example, it’s only because humans have discovered the ’Holy Country Demon World’ that they found numerous methods to deal with the Demon Race…"

The defeat and extinction of the Demon Race decades ago cannot be separated from the analysis carried out by human scholars during the middle period of the "Holy Country Demon World".

"Once you get back, if you report this hidden mission to the Shadow World Management Association or the Magic Tower, they will cream over you to experience the Shadow World. The academic value of a Lost Era Shadow World is truly unimaginable. But in the same vein, the Blood Clan, who currently exist on this world, will stop at nothing to end your life."

Hyperion said.

They deactivated the [Shadow World Record Program] immediately upon reaching this Fringe Space.

As most challengers do not want the Magic Cards they may acquire as rewards to be recorded.

Although the Blood Clan of this world keeps a low profile and hides in the south, each member is a formidable foe to humanity, posing even greater threats than the Demon Race.

The Blood Clan, as the strongest individual species, possess unreasonable powers and immortality. In a one-on-one match, humans and the Demon Race are no match for the Blood Clan. Even if they could win, they would eventually be worn down.

It’s highly probable that this ancient Shadow World of the "Blood Moon Bad World" Lost Era holds methods to counter the Blood Clan.

"Stop, just stop! I’ll just pretend I never saw this hidden mission,"

Lanci waved his hand, heading towards the edge of the Fringe Space, uninterested in risking his life against the Blood Clan.

"That’s right, the Blood Clan has never bothered us anyway,"

Hyperion agreed, following Lanci towards the Void Gate back to the real world.

They were in full accord—the information from this hidden mission could never be submitted.

As they were about to step into the swirling mirror of the Void.

"Oh, Lanci, there’s one thing I’ve been trying to figure out."

Hyperion suddenly halted his steps, he spoke hesitantly.

"What is it?"

Lanci turned back and asked.

"In the art classroom, what magic did you use to distinguish which paintings were drawn by the professor, and which were drawn by students?"

Hyperion looked at Lanci bewildered, seemingly unable to figure it out despite thinking about it the whole way.

"..."

Lanci first looked surprised, but then his face broke into a sly, brilliant smile.

"Something as simple as that, do you really need magic?"
