"We can’t go there." Medusa said with a troubled expression.
"Why not? It’s not like we’re not coming back. Our hands are tied in this city and we don’t have a leg to stand on against the Fallen corp, and they’re the least of our troubles." Uriel argued.
"It’s true, if Sam wanted us dead, he might have attempted to attack us when he visited. He just wanted to mess with us and let us know we don’t represent any threat to him." Nika added.
"It’s not that I don’t want to, but the thing is..."

The next day, the Dungeon Raiders, including Emma, headed to the east district. Because of their financial problems, they were forced to go on public transport, which didn’t seem like a big problem at first, but they were drawing a lot of unwanted attention towards themselves. The reason behind that was the strange masks they were wearing.
It wasn’t that uncommon for hunters to hide their traits, but Uriel was too cheap and refused to buy gas masks from his souvenir shop for everyone and they had to make due with what they had.
Uriel was wearing his gas mask, Medusa her soldering mask, Nika had a party mask that covered half of her face, but Luna had to wear one of the medical masks she used whenever she went to Lamar’s lab because she didn’t like the smell of all those chemicals.
It looked as though they were heading to a costume party instead of the airport.
"You know, when I told you to hide the Pegasus, I meant it." Uriel glared at Medusa with disapproval.
"What did you want me to do? It’s not like I could have parked it on our garage. Assembling it on our headquarters is one thing, but landing it there was impossible!"
"Uhm, Sam would have been able to. If that inept can do it, then why couldn’t you at least try?"
"You say that, but his reflexes were always unnatural. Besides, I build the bridge accomodating to his trait, flying it by myself was one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done in my life!"
"You had Phlox by your side the whole time. Why didn’t you ask her?" Uriel insisted on recriminating Medusa, even though he knew there was no point in doing so. He was beyond upset because he knew that he would have to pay a high price at the airport to release the zeppelin, which was also the reason why he refused to even pay for a taxi.
"And risk her damaging my baby!?"
"Do we really need to do this now? I mean, it’s not like we’re going to set off immediately." Nika complained.
"I have no clue as to when will Mister Scofield come back and we need to have the Pegasus at the ready. Besides, I don’t even want to think about the price we’ll have to pay to release the Pegasus now. My wallet is already bleeding just thinking about it!"
It was still early in the morning when they arrived at the airport. It wasn’t at all like in the all times where it would buzz with activity and people going and coming to and from places. In fact, it was now a heavily guarded building with reinforced alloy instead of glass windows and people were only able to enter if they had pending business.
Airplanes and helicopters were more or less obsolete and it wasn’t everyday that zeppelins arrived at the airport. Not many companies or corporations were able to afford a zeppelin given how expensive they were, which made Medusa’s creation even more impressive.
"Get moving!" A guard armed with a shotgun shouted at the group as they neared the entrance.
"Do you know who we are?" Uriel asked, his voice muffled by the gas mask he was wearing.
"I don’t care who you are, the airport is closed today."
"Closed?"
"It’s none of your business."
"Listen, handsome, why don’t you let us speak with your boss? I bet we can get to an agreement." Nika said as she walked closer to the man, but he pointed his shotgun at her completely ignoring her charms.
"Ha, Ha, that was funny." Luna laughed in a plain voice that made it sound ironic.
"It’s me, I’m here for the Pegasus." Medusa said as she briefly showed her face to the man, but contrary to her expectations the man didn’t lower his weapon and Uriel was able to feel a strange commotion in the flux energy.
"Take cover!" He shouted, prompting everyone to back off immediately, right before a barrage of anti tank rounds that would have been able to easily kill a monster rank cryptid rained on the spot they were previously standing.
"What’s going on?" Medusa asked from behind the light post she was leaning on, but the only people with answers were currently firing their guns at them.
"Nika, do it." Uriel commanded, though Nika didn’t move.
"What the hell do you want me to do? Do you think I’m bullet proof or something?" She shouted amidst the gunshot sounds. Uriel poked his head out to spot the enemies, only to realize how unreasonable it would have been to ask her to face against that.
There were so many guards mounted on the turrets it looked as though the whole wall had become alive, but then a smile dawned on his face.
"What are you smiling at?" 𝚗𝚘v𝚙𝚞b.𝚌𝚘m
"I just realized that, if they’re firing at us without so much as an explanation, we don’t have to pay for taking back what’s rightfully ours. In fact, we might even be compensated." Uriel’s eyes brimmed with greed.
After a couple minutes of wasting bullets, the airport security guards finally stopped firing their weapons. They did’t lower them, nor did they retreat, but that gave the group a much needed respite and Uriel took the chance to strike back.
"Go, Jaguar spirit." He said as he threw the clay figurine at them.
