56: Chapter 56: Chi Yue Goes Missing

56 -56: Chi Yue Goes Missing

Evening.

Chi Yue had just stepped through the front door when she heard noise coming from inside.

As she approached the foyer, waves of pungent alcohol fumes hit her, causing Chi Yue to frown.

“Oh, whose fresh face is this?

Quite the beauty we have here.”

Suddenly, a drunk man appeared in front of her, raising his hand to touch Chi Yue.

Chi Yue, expressionless, dodged and walked straight ahead.

Chi Qingqing, upon seeing Chi Yue, staggered toward her with a bottle in hand, “Chi Yue, you finally came back.

Let me introduce you to a few friends.”

Chi Yue didn’t even glance at her and walked upstairs, but after just a few steps, Chi Qingqing grabbed her.

“Don’t you see I have so many friends here?

Think about it, they used to be your close friends too.”

Chi Yue’s gaze fell on Chi Qingqing’s hand grabbing her, “Let go.”

It wasn’t clear whether Chi Qingqing was truly drunk or pretending as she pulled Chi Yue toward the crowd.

Chi Yue, with a reverse push, effortlessly shoved her away.

Chi Qingqing fell onto the couch, looking incredulously at Chi Yue, “Chi Yue, you pushed me?”

“If you hadn’t bothered me, naturally I wouldn’t have pushed you.”

Chi Yue turned around, her hand landing on someone’s shoulder, and without even looking, she threw him over her shoulder.

For a moment, everyone was silent, staring at Chi Yue.

Maybe it had been too long since they interacted with Chi Yue; they had forgotten that Chi Yue knew Taekwondo.

Chi Qingqing was the only one who didn’t know Chi Yue knew Taekwondo, so when she saw Chi Yue easily take down a big man, she was completely frozen.

Chi Yue, ignoring the stares of others, warned Chi Qingqing, “Do not provoke me; my patience is limited.”

It wasn’t until Chi Yue had vanished at the end of the hallway that Chi Qingqing came back to her senses.

She stared furiously in the direction Chi Yue had left, her eyes nearly spewing fire.

But soon, she curled her lips into a sinister smile.

Chi Yue, returning to her room, turned on the light, and as usual, headed to the walk-in closet to get her pajamas and then to the bathroom.

Halfway there, she suddenly sensed something off about the room.

Before she could pinpoint what was amiss, a man emerged from behind the curtains.

The man’s face was flushed red, and his steps were sloppy, clearly drunk.

He creepily smiled as he approached Chi Yue.

“Yueyue, you’ve made me suffer so much longing.

Come into my arms quick, let me pamper you.”

Chi Yue’s eyes narrowed dangerously, “Did Chi Qingqing send you here?”

“Who sent me isn’t important, what matters is that we are going to have a pleasant night,” the man said, quickening his pace.

Chi Yue turned to leave, only to see another man emerge from the direction of the bathroom, blocking the doorway.

“And me too, Yueyue.”

By now, Chi Yue fully understood what was happening.

Chi Qingqing probably invited so many people over tonight just for this scene.

She quietly stepped aside, “How much did Chi Qingqing offer you?

I will double it.”

“Oh, Yueyue, you don’t understand us at all.

You are my goddess; no amount of money can measure that.”

“Yeah, talking about money seems cheap.

The night of spring is short, Yueyue, let’s not waste time.”

“Wait,” Chi Yue glanced at the balcony door that was not closed, “Is it just us three in this room?””

“Of course.”

More wouldn’t be enough to go around.

Chi Yue said, “Go close the balcony door.”

The two men exchanged a glance, one of them said, “Yueyue, are you trying to get rid of us?”

Chi Yue: “Then guard the door well; I’ll go close it.”

As she spoke, she walked toward the balcony, while the two men stood still.

That’s because Chi Qingqing had told them that right below Chi Yue’s balcony was a pool, and Chi Yue was afraid of water; she would never choose to jump from the second floor.

But just when they felt assured about Chi Yue, she suddenly climbed onto the railing and jumped down in front of their shocked expressions.

A huge splash broke the silence of the night.

The two men panicked, running out of the room and down the stairs.

Upon seeing the two come down, Chi Qingqing realized something had happened only to find out upon asking that Chi Yue had jumped from the second floor.

She immediately directed people to search the pool; however, they scoured the entire Chi Family estate only to find no trace of Chi Yue.
