Rudy and Erika checked out from the hotel and took a cab. Of course, Rudy suggested teleporting instead, but Erika rejected his offer and said she rarely gets to experience the travel, and she wants to spend her precious time with Rudy.

Rudy then insisted on flying instead, but again, Erika shook her head and said that she was tired of flying around and wanted to have a genuine travel experience. Rudy had learned that it was impossible to win against Erika once she had made up her mind.

Although Rudy only wanted to get there sooner so they could do something better with the limited time they had. They were far away from the town—Hel, and it could easily take them 3 hours to get there.

Either way, Rudy enjoyed the ride and his time with Erika. He hadn't gotten a proper chance to breathe fresh air and leave all his worries behind.

Rudy would have fallen asleep if it wasn't for Erika, who was stealing all his attention. His face didn't make it look like he knew what he had done in the hotel room when he was massaging Erika.

He could hear people's thoughts when he was touching them. And when he was massaging Erika, he was doing a lot more than touching. He had heard each and every word Erika was thinking.

Indeed, he was aware that Erika had orgasmed two times while receiving a massage— although it wasn't his intention. He genuinely wanted to massage her, but it turned into something erotic, which made him more energetic to massage.

Since Rudy's touch was magical for Erika, she made sure to keep her distance from him. She wasn't confident that she wouldn't moan the next time Rudy touched her.

When they reached the town, Erika asked the driver if he could drop them inside, but the driver refused and asked them to get off. Of course, they were ready to pay extra, but the driver wasn't interested. Thus, they walked the rest of the way to Eleanor's house.

Since their house had biometric security set up— additionally with physical locks— Erika unlocked the main gate and the front door easily.

"Looks like mom isn't here…" Erika muttered.

"Yeah, they weren't here last night either," Rudy seconded.

"Hmm~ Let me check where she is." Erika took out her device and pressed some prompts. After a few seconds, she turned to Rudy and said, "She is at the condo."

Rudy raised his brows with a judging look on his face and asked, "Do you stalk everyone like that?"

"Hey! It's not stalking! This is my way to make sure my family is safe!" Erika defended herself by providing a logical excuse.

Rudy squinted his eyes and asked, "Wait, don't tell me you stalk me like that too!"

"I promised you I wouldn't." Erika shrugged her shoulders. "I still remember how angry you got last time and told me that you would break up with me if I pulled any stunts on you."

'Oh! I got new information!'

"I mean, yeah, but… who knows? What if you are lying?"

Erika looked into Rudy's eyes with a serious look on her face and uttered, "I would never do something that would and could affect our relationship."

"That's great."

"Now, let's go check on bro."

Rudy and Erika went upstairs to Eric's room, hoping to see him resting. However, much to their surprise, Eric's room was empty.

Erika quickly glanced at Rudy, who said, "I swear I put him on the bed. He must have woken up and went somewhere. Let me check!"

Rudy activated his supervision and scanned the house, but Eric was nowhere to be found. He shook his head and muttered, "He isn't here."

Erika took out her device and tried to track Erika, but it failed.

"The device was damaged. My phone too!" Rudy told her, hoping for a nod from Erika.

"It Should still ping his location as long as it's connected to the battery."

"Well… it was…" Rudy gulped down nervously and continued, "The device was in the car and I… turned the car into a metal ball…"

Erika let out a loud sigh and dashed out of the window, leaving Rudy alone in the room.

'Where could he have gone? Maybe he recalled something from last night and…' Rudy's eyes widened in realization as he thought of a possibility of Eric's location.

Rudy flew out of the window and went to his house, and as he had expected, he found Eric a few miles away from his house.

The first thing Eric did after regaining consciousness was to look for Rudy. he touched that he managed to survive thanks to his superhero suit, but what about Rudy?

And since there was no one in his or Rudy's house, Eric had thought of the worst possible outcome.

Eric was sitting on the narrow pathway leading to the forest. He had no energy to walk or move, so he simply sat there, thinking about Rudy and blaming himself for his death.

When Rudy approached Eric, he found him passed out.

"What a guy…" Rudy muttered with a sigh.

He took him back home and contacted Erika using one of the phone in Eric's house.

When Erika returned, she rushed to the bed where Eric was laying, and touched him all over, seemingly making sure all his bones were intact. She then called someone and talked with them for a few minutes.

"Is everything alright?" Rudy asked calmly.

Erika nodded and uttered in a low voice, "He is in a perfect condition. He just needs rest."

"That's what I told you."

"..."

After a brief awkward silence, Rudy curiously asked, "Who did you call, by the way?"

"My master."

"Master?" Rudy raised a brow.

"Well, more like my mentor or.. Senior… argh!" With a frustrated groan, she said, "Leader of the guild."

"What did you ask her?"

"A satellite view of what exactly happened and who attacked you two. I will not let them live!" she clenched her fists.

"Umm.. I already told you I dealt with the attacker."

"But there could be more of them! Do you know, approximately 22,785 heroes have died in the last twenty days? And all of them were high-ranking heroes! The information hasn't been made public and only a few officials know about this!"

"...!"

"Someone is targeting the heroes. It's about time I get back into action!"

'Other than the attack on us last night and the hero party I killed yesterday… the other murders need to be investigated.

Erika turned to Rudy and asked, "Rudy, I need your help in this matter! Will you help me?"
