10 years later.
Eternal Peak.
Tian Yongheng had already broken through to the Third Stage of Golden Core Realm a couple of years ago, and was currently comprehending the heaven and earth.
After breaking through, the system rewarded him with another Dharma Fusion Stone, which was in the system space right now.
Aside from that, fom what he read in the Divine Scripture of the Primordial Beginning, the Golden Core Realm was an extremely important foundational realm for future cultivation. The Innate Realm was only preparing for the comprehension of the worldly laws in the Golden Core Realm.
The nourishment of the soul required understanding of the worldly laws so they could be used to refine the Golden Core. Which was why it was extremely important to comprehend heaven and earth in these realms.
While most cultivators who did not have good comprehension reached their peak cultivation at the Innate Realm, a cultivator with high comprehension could also diminish their chances of further cultivation if they neglected the comprehension of the worldly laws and heaven and earth.
Only by comprehending the worldly laws could one hope to control them and bend them to their own will, further enhancing their lifespan and power.
This was the Golden Core Realm.
Right now, while comprehending heaven and earth, Tian Yongheng was also waiting for Tian Yunchen to come out of his seclusion.
He had been in seclusion for quite a while, and must be very close to entering the Golden Core Realm.
The reason why Tian Yongheng was waiting for him was because he was about to finally go and visit the Turquoise Lake Sword Manor.
Since Yan Jingfei was also going with him, there needed to be someone here to protect the Eternal Peak.
In the last few years, Yan Jingfei had also reached the Third Stage of Innate Realm. Her cultivation speed was quite decent as someone who already had a foundation in cultivation in her past life.
At this moment, Tian Yongheng suddenly stood up and looked in the direction of the mountain where Tian Yunchen’s abode was located at.
He’s broken through.
He thought before disappearing into thin air and reappearing at the top of the neighboring mountain, where Tian Yunchen lived.
He could feel Tian Yunchen’s presence gradually increasing in his cave abode, exuding a magnificent pressure probably on the same level as that of Chi Yuwen and Yao Lan, albeit far weaker than him.
The pressure continued to increase for several days before finally coming to a halt, concluding Tian Yunchen’s breakthrough.
During this period of time, Tian Yongheng remained outside of Tian Yunchen’s cave abode, not doing anything, just making sure that everything was going fine.
Even though there was no possibility of Tian Yunchen failing to breakthrough because of his Connate Providence as a Chosen One, he still felt as if he should watch as to avoid any unexpected circumstances.
After cultivating for more than 200 years, his mentality had also gone through drastic changes with the continous increase in his cultivation.
So, a few days like these just being in one place without doing anything were nothing more than a few seconds to him.
When he just started cultivating, as someone with the memories of his past life on modern earth where distractions were everywhere, he would’ve probably gone feral after a 10 year long cultivation session in seclusion. But now, he could even cultivate in seclusion for more than a hundred years with ease.
This was an impact on mental strength brought about by the increase in cultivation level. He could sit in a place for centuries without moving even a tiny bit with no people around, and he would he just fine.
He was not that much of a novel enthusiast in his past life, but due to his longing for immortality, he had read well over a hundred Xianxia novels giving him substantial knowledge about many tropes and other things of Xianxia, though he only finished less than 10.
When he read about those hundreds of years of timeskips because of the various characters’ seclusions, he always wondered that even if their mental power was strong, they couldn’t possibly just meditate in seclusion for centuries, right?
Wouldn’t that be too boring?
He initially thought that there must be more to cultivation than just meditating with an empty mind and absorbing the Spirit Qi, but still couldn’t understand what it was since many novels didn’t explain it at all.
It was only after he came to this world did he get to know that the increase in mental strength was not only tremendous, but the process of cultivation was also very mystical and complex.
It was not just about absorbing the Spirit Qi, but guiding it into the body, refining it to transform it into Spiritual Energy with their own efforts and understanding. A single misstep could lead to one’s death in the early stages.
Since the Spirit Qi was directly stored in the body in the early stages, it needed to go through the process of refining it into Spiritual Energy. The careful absorption of Spirit Qi was an extra step in the early stages.
Though this step would became automate after one enters the Foundation Establishment Realm, and they’ll just have to meditate to absorb Spirit Qi.
But the refining of Spirit Qi would still have to be done by them to turn it into Spiritual Energy, and since their realm is now higher, it is only natural the refining process to transform it into the Spiritual Energy of Foundation Establishment Realm would also be much higher.
And since they have a Sea of Consciousness starting from the Foundation Establishment Realm, they’ll have to constantly expand it during cultivation with intricate steps, which would once again cause death by exploding the Sea of Consciousness if not done properly.
Don’t forget that the Divine Sense and the body also has to be cultivated and upgraded constantly, also delicate processes which may not lead to death, but can cause injuries to the Divine Sense or body if not done right. Cultivators who do not do these things are normally weaker than cultivators who do in terms of Divine Sense and physical body.
In the Acquired Realm, despite doing all the things above, one now has to comprehend then remove all their impurities and shed one’s mortal shell to prepare for the Innate Realm and wield the power of nature in their own hands.
This realm was considered as one of the easiest, yet also hardest to cultivate as it didn’t have any life threatening bottlenecks since they had already gotten used to them in the Foundation Establishment Realm. However, the process of breaking through from the Acquired Realm to Innate Realm was extremely hard.
It was practically surpassing all mortal limitations so that they could wield the power of nature in their hands, such as summoning thunder and lightning etcetera. It was also the stage where most people fell.
Why was it so hard, though?
Removing all of the impurities of one’s body, Spiritual Energy, Divine Sense etcetera was the easy part. But the last breakthrough was hard because it involved wielding the power of nature, which most people couldn’t comprehend.
Comprehension was the key.
Their was a certain limit to how much their body could withstand, and it was pushed to the extreme during this breakthrough. If they could not comprehend the nature during this time, their body would explode and they’ll die.
As for the Innate Realm, it was the same including the comprehension of the heaven and earth, and starting the formation of the Golden Core surrounding their soul in the middle of the Sea of Consciousness.
The understanding of heaven and earth could be done separately or together with cultivation depending on the individual, since heaven and earth can be comprehended from anywhere.
Most people choose to comprehend heaven and earth while cultivating because their limited lifespan doesn’t give them that much time, or due to many other reasons.
Tian Yongheng didn’t want to take an extra risk for no reason despite his great talents, that’s why he chose to do it separately. He had the lifespan too.
The formation of the Golden Core was required to breakthrough to the Golden Core Realm, which was an extremely complex process that must be done with utmost care as the soul is very delicate.
Carelessness in this process could at best cause the cultivator major injuries and little chance to advance again while at worst could cause minor injuries to the soul, which would mean that not only the cultivator dies but their soul gets slightly injured too.
While in the Golden Core Realm, when the Golden Core is successfully formed, all the other process remains the same, including the comprehension of heaven and earth. But now, they must also understand the worldly laws, which was the most dangerous process.
If they got too much comprehension of the worldly law at once and couldn’t digest it, they’ll simply die because of their mind exploding due to the overload of understanding.
It was not normal understanding, but understand of the worldly laws and powers of nature, after all.
Under all these circumstances, how could a cultivator be bored when cultivating since even a single mistake could lead to their demise? 𝔫𝖔𝖛𝖕𝔲𝔟.𝔠𝖔𝖒
