Chapter 25 - 25 Personal Education
"Devil? That's how you evaluate me?" The man's body suddenly rose from the sofa. His towering height of nearly 1.9 meters made the hospital room seem even smaller.
Lin Banxia's gaze swept quickly across his tall frame. Even though it was just a fleeting glance, she somehow noticed this man's figure was extraordinarily perfect—more formidable in the way that drives women mad than Huo Qinglin.
"Uh... verbal slip!" Lin Banxia swallowed nervously and explained with an awkward laugh.
Unfortunately, the man had already positioned himself in front of her, towering condescendingly. His restrained eyes glanced down at her, as if he were looking at an insignificant ant.
Lin Banxia didn't dare meet his gaze directly. She could only lower her head and focus on the white blanket, staying silent.
"Woman, being able to make a deal with me will undoubtedly be the wisest choice you've ever made in your life," Huo Yanting said in a deep voice.
"I wouldn't be so sure!" Lin Banxia pouted, her stance clearly unyielding.
"If I want the land deed in your possession, I have plenty of ways to get it. Unlike Huo Qinglin, I wouldn't act like a hypocrite to deceive you. I would..." Huo Yanting suddenly bent down. His thin lips hovered near her ear as he rasped, "Kill you!"
Lin Banxia's beautiful eyes widened in shock upon hearing those three words. She whipped her head around, trying to catch a glimpse of that brutal intent in his eyes. But she seemed to have forgotten something.
Huo Yanting was standing too close to her. When she turned her head abruptly, her lips accidentally aligned perfectly with his thin lips.
Both of their expressions froze.
Lin Banxia was stunned for only two seconds before she quickly leaned back, panicked, and stammered out an explanation, "Sorry! I didn't mean to!"
What the hell—this man had just said he'd kill her, and yet she somehow managed to take the initiative and kiss him?!
Huo Yanting maintained the posture from when she had kissed him for a long moment before he straightened up indifferently. "You dare to forcibly kiss me?"
"I didn't! It was an accident! It doesn't count as a kiss, right?" Lin Banxia hastily defended herself.
"Then why don't you teach me—what actually counts as a real kiss?" Huo Yanting asked, his voice completely serious and devoid of any emotion, yet somehow demanding a kiss from her.
Lin Banxia froze in shock, her dark eyes blinking hard. "Mr. Huo, if you insist on learning what a real kiss is, I suggest you find an experienced woman to teach you. I'm sure she can teach you plenty—not just about kisses..."
"Too lazy to look elsewhere, too much trouble. You'll do." Before Lin Banxia could react in the slightest, the man's large hand suddenly cupped the back of her head, forcefully pressing her toward him. He bent his head down, and his thin lips claimed hers.
The man's overpowering scent of hormones made Lin Banxia freeze completely, her body stiff as a stone.
Her small hands hovered in mid-air, but unfortunately, her mouth was firmly taken by his domineering kiss.
His tongue, fiery and wild, invaded her small mouth, sweeping away every hint of sweetness.
Lin Banxia finally snapped back to her senses, her face flushed bright red. Her small hands rushed to push him away.
Oh god, was Huo Yanting out of his mind?
This was a hospital—how could he possibly have the audacity to kiss her here?
And her identity at this moment? She was his younger cousin's fiancée. Even if this man didn't care about societal norms, he should at least show her some respect!
"Ahem... What exactly are you two doing?" Suddenly, a tall figure appeared at the door—Gu Qianxi.
Lin Banxia, who had been struggling to free herself to no avail, finally managed to catch her breath.
The man's thin lips finally left her small mouth, his breathing noticeably heavy.
"I'm teaching her what a kiss is," Huo Yanting stated matter-of-factly.
"Uh... What am I supposed to say to that? This doesn't seem to match your personality," Gu Qianxi said with an awkward laugh.
Huo Yanting narrowed his eyes, shooting him a cold glare. As a friend, Gu Qianxi really lacked any sense of timing.
Coming in at this moment—was he looking for death?
