The black card in her hand made her feel as though everything was unreal.

While waiting for them to return home, Lin Banxia had already packed up her meager belongings. Once she handed over the money, she would leave this place for good.
"Wow, you already prepared your stuff for running away. Lin Banxia, don't tell me you didn't get the money and are planning to flee with the land deed!" Lin Shiyi deliberately pushed open her door as she passed by, and upon seeing her suitcase, she screamed sharply.
Lin Banxia shot her a frosty glance. "Relax, I'm not fleeing. The money is ready."
Lin Shiyi stared at her in disbelief. "Lin Banxia, you actually got the money? Who gave it to you? Did you go sell yourself? Tsk, tsk, with your looks, you'd probably have to sell yourself for a lifetime."
Lin Banxia's gaze turned icy as she stared at her. "At least I can fetch ten billion. You? I doubt anyone would pay two hundred for a night."
"What did you say?!" Lin Shiyi was instantly provoked, her tone sharp and piercing. "I'm nothing like you—shameless! I'm a proper, decent woman. You, on the other hand, see someone like Huo Qinglin with money and status and latch on like a lapdog. Now he's kicked you to the curb, and I bet you've climbed onto someone richer, haven't you?"
Lin Banxia couldn't be bothered to argue with her. Lin Shiyi had a sharp tongue and loved humiliating others; arguing with someone like her only lowered her own stature.
"Get out of my way!" Lin Banxia said coldly when she saw Lin Shiyi blocking her door.
Lin Shiyi scrutinized her further, questioning whether she had really gotten the money or was bluffing.
Lin Banxia directly shouldered past her forcefully and headed downstairs.
"Wow, you have zero manners!" Lin Shiyi yelped as her shoulder ached from the collision. She cursed under her breath, trailing behind her down the stairs.
In the living room downstairs, the atmosphere was thick with tension. Lin Kunhuai fixed his dark gaze on Lin Banxia. "It's been a whole day. Did you get the money or not?"
Cheng Rouyin sat beside him with one leg crossed, shaking it lightly, savoring the unfolding drama.
Lin Banxia placed the black card she was clutching tightly onto the coffee table. "There's ten billion in this card. I've changed the password to Mom's birthday. You can check it now. If the amount isn't right, you can come back to me."
Lin Kunhuai shot to his feet, grabbing the card immediately. "Who gave you this card? Where did it come from?"
