Shye clenched his fists tightly once more.
He tried.
With a deep sigh of regret, he decided to store Menas’rpse in arpsentainer.
This way, although the elder fire dragon’s peerless resolve would be lost forever, a fragment of his mightuld still live on through Nookie.
But to Shye’s surprise, he found himself unable to store therpse.
His brows furrowed deeply asnfusion and unease settled over him.
The next moment, he suddenly felt like he was being incinerated to ashes, prompting him to swiftly activate a spatial repositioning skill and appear a few meters away.
Only then did Shye notice thelossal vermillion magic circle hovering in the sky directly above Menas’rpse.
Before heuld even understand what happened, a mix of vermillion and purplelored flame descended from the heavens as though a fiery waterfall, devouring Menas’rpse.
Shye repositioned himself farther as he watched the roaring flames, still feeling the unbearable heat from his previous position.
The grieving wind dragons also watched, their sorrow momentarily replaced by curiosity andnfusion over what was unfolding.
It was only after three whole minutes before the flames began to disperse.
Shye’s head suddenly throbbed in agonizing pain as a long-lostnnection flared back to life, blazing and violent.
He forced himself tontinue watching.
Soon, a thirty-seven-meter-tall hulking drnian silhouette emerged from the flames, nfusing the wind dragons even more.
Zephyrus was only around thirty meters tall, and he did not have such a horrifying muscular frame.
The departed emperor’s neck had certainly not been this thick.
Shye, however, was ecstatic despite currently suffering from a sudden splitting headache.
He wasn’tnfused, especially since there was anfirmation from within him.
Menas was alive!
Furthermore, from the look of things, it seemed that the heavens had finally acknowledged and crowned him in his final moments.
The next moment explained to the wind dragons everything they needed to know.
A horrifying roar—far louder than Zephyrus’ and the elder dragon version of Menasmbined—ripped through the air, summoning a miniature firestorm that swept across the Windswept Plains and ignited a wildfire.
At that moment, the elder wind dragons finally realized what happened.
A new emperor of flames has risen!
They then remembered Menas’ vow to eliminate every single one of them, striking fear in the hearts of the three remaining elders.
Soon, they bolted towards different directions, hoping to disappear to the horizons they’d chosen before the new Fire Dragon Emperor Menas gave chase.
The injured wind dragons soon realized what was happening as they watched the elders of their now-destroyed flight flee.
They, too, were in trouble.
Like bandits, they scrambled, flapping their wings with all their might, desperate to avoid bming mere torn pieces of flesh.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! MASTER, I’VE DONE IT!! WHO KNEW THE HEAVENS WOULD FINALLY NOTICE?!" Menas exclaimed, his loud, fiery voice causing the clumsily escaping wind dragons to momentarily flinch in fear.
Upon hearing Menas’ words, Shye smiled.
Such words would be impossible to hear from another dragon emperor.
At that moment, heuldn’t help but wonder if it had been wise to pursue the first methodnvincing another dragon emperor to lead his army, with their pact valid only verbally.
’Well, no need to stress me out thinking about matters that didn’t happen, is there?’ he thought inwardly before replying to his tamed dragon emperor:
"Hahahaha, I thought you would croak before that Wind Dragon Emperor. I’m glad you won. Well then, do what you have to andme back here once you’re done."
"HAHAHAHAHA! Master truly understands me! Wait here, I’ll tear the remnants of this wind dragon clan to shreds!" Menas laughed again, his eyes flashing with a ruthless glint.
He had been a ruthless killer in the past, and he wasn’t about to stop, especially now that he had finally bme a mighty Fire Dragon Emperor, his potential and skill ceiling skyrocketing.
Menas then sprang into action and gave chase.
With a single, mighty flap of his vermillion wings—a shade deeper—the recently risen Fire Dragon Emperor was delighted to diver that his aerial movement speed more than doubled.
To the wind dragons, however, watching Menas blast through the skies faster than even their Lord Zephyrus was nothing short of a nightmare.
The flaming emperor prioritized the elder dragons, whom he personally knew and hated.
Unfortunately for a fleeing mature wind dragon, she was in Menas’ aerial path, making her the first target of his newfound power.
Struggling tontrol the strength of his now-larger wings, the Fire Dragon Emperor miscalculated the distance.
As a result, Menasuldn’t even swing his arms, lliding violently with the female wind dragon.
It was amical sight—an actual adult dragon falling to her death from a mere accidental bump.
’Well, shit. I shall take that.’ the flabbergasted emperor thought, ntinuing his pursuit the next moment.
Despite his eagerness to eliminate the remnants of Zephyrus’ rule, the dragons smartly dispersed in different directions.
As a result, Menas only managed to kill two of the elder dragons and four mature wind dragons—including the female one he had accidentally killed.
Nonetheless, the new emperor was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was he far stronger and tougher than before, but his mana pool had also grown significantly, making his fireballs and flame tornadoes nearly twice as large as they had been.
The only regret Menas had was that heuldn’t test the limits of his power, as even the elder wind dragons were too weak for him.
He would need to face other emperors to truly gauge his improvedmbat prowess.
A few moments later, Menas returned, both satisfied and slightly disappointed at the same time.
He wanted to kill them all. 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝒑𝙪𝒃.𝒄𝒐𝙢
However, in deference to the heavens and his master’s magnanimity, he would show mercy this once and allow them to live.
Heuld hunt them down, but he chose not to keep his master waiting any longer.
"Are you done?" Shye asked loudly upon noticing the return of his tamed emperor. "If so, let’s strengthen your army. Hahaha, I wonder what Tarintus would say if he saw you now."
"Hmph, that spineless elder thunder dragon. As the superior being, I shall no longer bicker with him. After all, he’s forever destined to be beneath me. It’s better to patch up relations and make him willingly obey." Menas replied, showcasing the newfound wisdom of his emperor status.
Despite looking extremely fierce and aggressive, the Fire Dragon Emperor appeared far wiser than his borderline dumb elder dragon version.
