Cobra’s underlings didn’t give up easily; almost half of them attempted to attack the black dome.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard they tried, none of their attacksuld penetrate the soft black walls.

Strikes with sharp and blunt objects merely bounced off after sinking deep into the flexible surface.

Meanwhile, spells werempletely devoured, failing even to create ripples.

Cobra himself tried to attack. However, the result was the same, leaving him perplexed.

"CHAOS!! WHY THE F*CK ARE YOU INTERFERING?!" He roared in utter fury.

He would never allow the short squadron captain from the Black Dawn Unit to get away with such disrespect.

The next moment, Chaos appeared beside him, scratching his head and smiling at him sheepishly.

"Hahaha…calm down, calm down, brother Cobra." he began, slowly walking towards the angrymmander whose chest was heaving up and down.

Cobra narrowed his eyes as Chaos approached.

He knew all too well that, despite the man’s foolish appearance, he was far from being unintelligent.

In fact, he believed that the only reason he had made it here without the old man’s interference was because of the seemingly dumbmmander.

Furthermore, he knew that sneak attacks would be useless against Chaos.

Hence, he forcefullyntained his anger, unwilling to carelessly make a move against the approachingmmander.

Meanwhile, Chaos extended his right arm, slowly and carefully reaching out to Cobra, as if approaching an unpredictable feral cat ready to strike at any moment.

Only when he was certain that the troublesomemmander wouldn’t lash out did he fully wrap his arms around Cobra’s neck, as though they were old friends.

To some extent, they were, as Cobra had joined the old man’s ranks only about a year after Chaos.

So in a way, they were oldmrades.

As for being "buddies," however, only the two of them knew that wasn’t the case.

"Phew… Now, now. You’ll have your revenge, brother, but you need to be patient," Chaos began, his tone almost teasing.

Cobra’s eyes narrowed even further in response.

After a brief, mysterious pause, Chaos thenntinued:

"Since we’re practically blood brothers, I’ll let you in on a secret... The old man said you’re not allowed to kill a single member of the Black Dawn Unit. Naturally, that includes that infuriating, grape-haired midget. Oooh! Just imagining her face annoys me to no end! How dare she do that to you?! If I ever get my hands on her…"

Cobra was losing patience by the snd.

He, of all people, knew the most that the bastard was merely talking crap.

One would have to be stupid to believe everything he said.

"Cut the crap, Chaos. Tell me what you’re planning. Also, do you think I’ll just allow that midget to get away with disrespecting me? F*ck the old man and his plans. If he wouldn’t give me my revenge, then I would destroy his plans." the furiousmmander declared with ald tone.

Normally, such declarations of treason would end up with one’s head separated from one’s body.

However, since the one who said it was Cobra, the old man was willing to let it go.

After all, this was merely the troublemaker’s way to negotiate.

Sanada and Chaos knew he wouldn’t actually do such a thing if offered a satisfactory solution.

The old man, who watched the current events unfold from the void, uld only sigh and shake his head.

’Why did mymmanders have to be such troublesome individuals?’ he thought, cursing his almost nonexistent luck.

From the moment he informed Shye that he would be joining Hadean Varsa, thisncern had been weighing heavily on Sanada’s mind.

He knew all too well that Cobra, the bully, and Shye, who refused to tolerate any injustice from bullies, would never see eye to eye.

To make things worse, Shye cared deeply about his family and friends.

If his troublesomemmander touched any of those people, he knew blood would be spilled.

He had to think of a way to have them resolve their differences.

Unfortunately, to this day, he still hadn’t thought of one.

This was also the reason why he allowed Chaos to take care of things, hoping that his eccentricmmanderuld think of an eccentric solution with his eccentric mind.

Unbeknownst to the old man, the peculiarmmander indeed had a solution.

However, not to the problem he had in mind, though it was similarly a problem that would greatly affect the results of the unsealing operation.

"Since the old man won’t let you kill them, why not humiliate them so thoroughly that they can’t even show their faces to the entire organization? Isn’t that far better than just killing them?" Chaos whispered.

"And how do you suggest I do that when there’s only your unit, my unit, and those two useless units here?" Cobra asked impatiently.

Humiliating them seemed like a good solution.

However, he would only settle for it if more than 60% of the organization’s entire manpower witnessed his superiority.

"Do you remember the operation simulation from a month before the actual mission? All twenty elite units would be required to attend, along with the majority of the organization’s raiders.

Forget half—almost everyone in the organization will be present. The old man is probably watching somewhere close, so he knows you’re after that midget.

Here’s what I propose: I’ll suggest three duels to the old man.

Shye Crowley and the midget would naturally be included, and you can choose the final opponent. I rmmend you pick Shye Crowley’s woman, the squadron captain named Shirley." Chaos respondednfidently, knowing that, given Cobra’s temperament, he would most likely accept.

"Shye Crowley’s woman? That bastard still has the time to fool around?" the troublemaker muttered with narrowed eyes. "Fine then, perfect. I shall humiliate him, his woman, and that midget."

Chaos then took the chance and suddenly added:

"Also, you can proposenditions such as: the losing team’smmander must slap himself three times and follow the winning team’s training regimen for the remaining month before the operation begins. What do you think?"

"Tch, fine. What choice do I have? But whether they like it or not, my elites and I will be staying in the training hall next to theirs. If they dare refuse, they canme in and take it back themselves."
