Shen Roujia couldn’t help but feel astonished upon hearing this. She hadn’t expected that the seemingly unremarkable Glamorous Pavilion would possess such strength.

The Tower of All-Knowing operated openly, but the Glamorous Pavilion functioned like an underground river, blending the light and dark together. Their bold and solitary approach made them a target for many.

Shen Roujia nodded, about to speak when she felt a sudden sharp pain in her chest. She bent over, her face turning pale, breaking out in a cold sweat.

Táo Huā quickly grabbed her wrist, his face serious. “This is madness! Shu Nian!”

Shen Roujia managed to catch her breath and asked, “What… what’s happening?”

Táo Huā’s lips pressed into a thin line. “Shu Nian transferred all her internal energy to you.”

Shen Roujia was stunned. “What?”

Táo Huā explained, “You have no foundational training, so your body will strongly reject this foreign power. But if you don’t use it, you should be fine.”

Shen Roujia sighed, feeling helpless. “So, I just let this power stay in my body?”

Listening to these bewildering words, Shen Roujia felt as if her world had turned upside down. Was this some kind of martial arts novel power?

Could she digest it?

Táo Huā shook his head. “I don’t know. This is unprecedented. It might be fine, or it could be fatal.”

Shen Roujia felt a chill run down her spine. Great, she might die before the plot even ends. If she dies midway, can she return to her original world?

Táo Huā pondered for a moment and said, “Maybe you should go back and recite sutras.”

Shen Roujia was baffled. “Recite sutras? Are you serious?”

Does he mean I should perform my own last rites?

Táo Huā nodded seriously. “Yes, the Heart Sutra from Shaolin might work. You can try. We don’t have such resources in the Glamorous Pavilion, so you’ll have to find a way yourself.”

Shen Roujia felt a headache coming on. “Being the Pavilion Master isn’t as easy as I thought. Táo Huā, can you give me a reliable solution?”

Táo Huā replied naturally, “I never lie.”

He then spread out several account books on the table. “These are our daily records. I’ve organized everything. If you inspect them, you won’t find a single discrepancy.”

Táo Huā seemed to be showcasing his perfection, but all Shen Roujia could think about was the sutra recitation.

“Táo Huā, thank you.”

Táo Huā looked puzzled at Shen Roujia and then spoke again after a pause. “You’re welcome.”

Shen Roujia stood up abruptly. “I have matters to attend to at the Hidden Pavilion. You manage the Glamorous Pavilion.”

Táo Huā frowned. “When will you be back?”

Shen Roujia thought for a moment. “Once every ten to fifteen days. It’s not very convenient for me.”

Internally, Shen Roujia smiled bitterly. “As long as I’m still alive, I promise you’ll see me.”

Táo Huā seemed satisfied and nodded. “You seem more reliable than Shu Nian.”

Shen Roujia looked at Táo Huā in surprise, genuinely dumbfounded.

Is Táo Huā really naive, or just too shrewd?

Suddenly becoming the master of the Glamorous Pavilion, and Táo Huā showed no emotional fluctuation, even looking forward to it?!
