The creature moved closer, its breath hot and foul. Lena fell back onto her bed, paralyzed with fear. The creature loomed over her, its claws reaching out. Just as it was about to strike, the room was flooded with light. Lena’s mother stood in the doorway, her face pale with worry.
"Lena, are you okay?" she asked, rushing to her side.
