Chapter 870: Chapter 781 Bold Idea_1

Almost every player launched an attack toward the monster in the lake, even the melee fighters pulled out their ranged weapons. They were not adept at using ranged weapons, but that didn’t mean theyuldn’t use them. After all, not many classes had as significant weapon restrictions as the Sword Masters;

After a barrage of attacks, many of the monsters were killed instantly. These were, after all, just level thirty-eight ordinary monsters, unable to withstand the onslaught of so many players;

“This is so thrilling, if only Iuld retain this strength after leaving the assessment space!” one player exclaimed excitedly.

The equipment of players present was at least of Dark Gold Quality, with each person owning one or two Epic-level items. The skills they used were among the top of their respective professions, immensely powerful;

With their current strength, theyuld even solo an elite boss of the same level without problems, much less these ordinary creatures. After a series of explosions, a layer of monsterrpses floated on the lake’s surface, along with numerous high-quality items drifting around;

A playeruldn’t wait and rushed into the lake, picking up an item to have a look, only to show a look of disappointment on his face.

“Can’t take it out of this space!” The player casually tossed the item in his hand and swam back toward the shore;

Seeing his actions, other players who harbored similar thoughts became disappointed as well. Almost all of their equipment was already formed, and they had mastered five or six Dark Gold or even Epic-level skills. Now, they really didn’t lack equipment or skills, so the items emitting variouslor glows on the lake’s surface were of no interest to them; if theyuldn’t be taken out of the assessment space, these items were worthless;

Song Jian had a thought; there were more than a dozen skill books and skill scrolls floating on the lake. If he swallowed them all, his Thousand Swords Flying Immortal Decisionuld definitely advance a level;

With this thought in mind, Song Jian immediately jumped into the water and swam towards those skill scrolls;

Players were stillnstantly attacking the monsters in the lake. It was only after entering the water that Song Jian realized there were still swarms of monsters at the bottom of the lake,nstantly moving around.

The mass killing before had slayed at least a hundred monsters but had caused those behind to no longer dare to surface, all of them hiding in the deep lakebed, seemingly waiting for something.

The toxic aura behind the players was getting closer. Looking back, the thick green light curtain emitted a faint mist, sending shivers down one’s spine;

By now, some players had begun entering the lake, swimming towards the small island;

The noisy lake surface made the monsters hiding at the bottom restless again, with shadows darting about at the bottom, their speed ever increasing.

Suddenly, a creature resembling a crdile burst from the lake’s bottom, clamping its jaws onto a player who was swimming hard on the surface and forcefully dragging him down;

Before the playeruld react, another seven or eight creatures emerged, tearing at him relentlessly;

“Help me!” the player screamed for help, but not a soul was willing to give him a snd glance, all treating him as bait to attract the monsters from the depths.

In no time,a face full of mockery;

Unmoved, Song Jian didn’t stop until he had picked up all the Skill Books and Scrolls he saw, and then he slowly swam to shore.

Having reached the shore, Song Jian seemed so exhausted that he sat down on the ground with a thud, while the toxic aura behind him drew closer and closer. Most players had already started rushing towards the small island in the center of the lake, with only Song Jian remaining unmoved, still sitting on the shore.

“Idiot!” A player who saw Song Jian leisurely sitting on the bank muttered a curse under his breath and leaped into the water.

At this point, Song Jian was the last one still standing on the shore; after all, without a specialized swimming skill, one’s speed in the water was much slower than on land;

The lake was full of battling scenes, with almost all the monsters surfacing andntinually attacking the swimming players.

If it weren’t for the toxic aura behind them, the remaining players would definitely have taken their time clearing out the monsters in the lake before ascending the small island at the lake’s center. But it felt like they were being whipped by the thunder god’s lash, driving them relentlessly forward, even at thest of their lives, to swim across the great lake and reach the island;

Of the last forty or so people left, fewer than thirty managed to successfully reach the island. Almost all of these individuals had their own lifesaving tricks, exhausting their means only to barely make it onto the small island in the heart of the lake;

Once these players stepped foot on the island at the lake’s center, the monsters in the water stopped chasing. In fact, the lake’s monsters were not limited to living in water, and were capable of fighting on land. If they swarmed together, even the strongest players would likely meet a group demise in the end, as the lake’s monsters were simply too numerous.

The small island seemed to be a special area that made these monsters dare not to take even half a step closer. Once the players ascended the island, the pursuing monsters would stop and turn around without hesitation to pounce on other players in the lake;

Song Jian fed all the Skill Books in his inventory to the Thousand Swords Art to increase its proficiency. Finally, afternsuming more than a dozen high-quality Skill Books and Skill Scrolls from his inventory, the Thousands of Swords Flying Immortal Decision leveled up from three to four;

At level four, the Thousand Swords Artuld summon 4-48 Spirit Swords, and each Spirit Sword’s power had increased to 150 times the weapon’s power. Thus, the damage inflicted by each Spirit Sword was approaching one thousand five hundred points.

Now, s mouth;

“I have a bold idea…” Song Jian whispered;
