Chapter 63: Jaida Clement...

"All right! I get it! Get off me already!"

James was still pinned underneath very large bodies and the tangle of limbs was very uncomfortable.

No one was listening and they cried hysterically while asking if he was okay.

Since Violet was directly on top of him, she saw the vein that started throbbing in his forehead.

Gabriella was unfortunately the one chosen to make an example out of. Violet watched as James made a fist and punched her in the balls.

James couldn’t believe his eyes, as soon as he punched her, another woman took her place.

His aunt was ugly crying as she crowed around him. She was soon incapacitated by the same method he used on his cousin.

Emily and Veronica seemed to get the message and backed away with their arms up. Somehow Melissa didn’t realize the danger she was in and immediately replaced the spot her mom had just been in.

Three of the four royal family members groaned on the ground while clutching their crotch’s.

Violet was able to get off him and James finally got up with the help of Gwendolyn.

She gave him a quick hug after picking him up and darted away, protecting her crotch.

Clara ran at him then with her arms open.

"Oh, James ! Come here and-"

He stepped to the side and she stumbled past him.

Galea looked like she was about to charge him with Susan, it looks like everyone he’d ever had sex with was here.

He gathered a lungful of air and yelled to get everyone’s attention.

"CHILL OUT!"

All the women stopped what they were doing and looked at him sheepishly.

James was hungry after laying in his bed for two days without eating, his depressive episode had made him blind to the pangs in his stomach.

He ate while they had a very heavy conversation about Justine’s funeral.

He rubbed the blue lock of hair and listened silently.

They had just ironed out the details of burying her on the palace grounds as a show of respect and honor for her sacrifice.

James had to cut in when he remembered something obvious.

"Hey.. has anyone reached out to her family?"

Everyone froze at his words.

"I guess not.. that should probably be the first step." James shook his head then, "Actually the first step should be me going to apologize for being so negligent, I’d like to do that as soon as possible."

Emily and Veronica left with Madeline to find out the details of where Justine’s mother was.

Melissa went with them after a moment because she suddenly remembered she had a friend currently traveling to Crale city in Menesh, the last place her mother was spotted.

It was going to take awhile to get a response letter even with [Instant Message] so James went back up to his room to sleep.

The comfort of friends and family was something he had never experienced after a loss, and his eyes had grown heavy at the table.

James layed down, closed his eyes and started drifting off.

His eyes opened and he sighed loudly a few minutes later as more and more women started climbing in his bed.

He didn’t mind when Clara and Violet did it at first, but when his aunts big body made the bed sag to the side, he had to complain.

"Auntie.. don’t you have a kingdom to run or something.."

She blushed a little at his words.

"Yes... but I can afford a couple days off to spend with my nephew. Especially after the attack on the palace, I accidentally destroyed a few too many buildings that need to be rebuilt..."

The reminded James of something important.

"Why did the witch cult attack? And why is the witch cult still active, I thought they were completely destroyed."

All the girls made noises of surprise.

"James, why do you think the attackers were from the witch cult?"

His aunt’s question didn’t really make any sense.

"Well, I mean it was obvious, right? Their cloaks and dark power ritual or whatever you call it. The biggest sign was that chant they did, that’s the witch cults chant."

"You could understand them?"

His aunts face was twisted a little as she asked this.

"Yeah, couldn’t you? They were very loud."

"James, what did they say exactly!?"

"Umm it was.. ’Glory to the night, the abyss welcomes all.’ They kept saying that over and over."

His aunts face went pale and she shot out of his bed.

"Holy goddess above.. I need to warn the Duchies. Girls, we need to leave."

Her expression gave no room for argument and Violet and Gabriella left with his aunt to go get Melissa.

’Did she really not know? And why could I understand the cultists when they couldn’t? What the fuck is going on..’

James stayed up later than he wanted too while these thoughts swam around in his head.

The next day was better, but James still felt a hard pang in his chest every time he thought of Justine.

’I still can’t believe she’s gone.. just like that..’

James stared out the window of a carriage as it traveled towards the outskirts of Crale city.

His family had found Justine’s mother quickly and apparently she had decided to live a slow life in the countryside after retiring from small city politics.

A nice cottage came into view and it looked homely and warm.

James felt his heart jump into his throat as they neared.

Emily and Veronica grabbed his hands and squeezed him comfortingly.

An older woman was outside the cottage and was currently hanging up clothes to dry.

James could see how similar she looked to Justine and he wanted to hyperventilate.

This reminded him of when he was in the army and got sent back stateside after his squad got decimated.

He made trips all over the country, using his savings so he could apologize to spouses and parents for living when their loved ones hadn’t.

The carriage came to halt and Susan opened the door. James looked at the three women and nodded.

His sisters had wanted to come, but James needed to do this by himself.

The woman had seen the carriage and waited for whatever was about to happen. Her face seemed a little shocked as she saw James.

James walked close and introduced himself.

"Sorry to disturb you my Lady, I am James Cromwell and I have some bad n-news to tell you."

The woman laughed a little.

"Oh my, a visit from a prince! How exciting.. I haven’t been addressed formally in a while though.. so just call me Jaida please."

She had a pleasant smile on her face and James felt sick at the thought of what her face would like after he told her.

"Ahem.. Jaida.. umm the thing is, a c-couple days a-ago ahem.."

She placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Let’s go inside, James, you don’t mind if I call you that do you?"

He shook his head and she ushered him in the cottage.

She sat him at her dinner table and placed a cup of tea in front of him. She sat opposite of him and had kind expression on her face, it made James feel even more terrible.

He took a long drink and mustered up his courage, his words spilling out all at once.

"A couple days ago, your daughter was killed in action. She died protecting Princess Violet, I’m sorry Jaida, it’s m-my fault.."

James couldn’t stop the tears that ran down his cheeks and his head bent down as his shoulders shook.

"I-I’m so sorry... she wouldn’t have died if I more competent. I’m sorry I failed you and your daughter."

He kept crying, unable to meet the woman’s gaze.

A terrible thought struck him as he wondered what his kids with her would’ve looked like.

’It’s always me.. I always live while others die. I’m a bad luck charm and I shouldn’t-’

He flinched a little when the woman placed a hand on the back of his head.

"Thank you for telling me. Did you like my daughter at all?"

James looked up and saw a sad smile on her face.

His head slammed into the table as he cried even harder.

"I loved her.. god damn it! I loved her!"

The woman got up and walked over to sit next to him.

She placed her arms around him and held him tight.

"I bet you made my daughter very happy, thank you James."

He didn’t stop crying for a long time as she embraced him.

When he finally got himself under control, he admonished himself.

’Your so pathetic.. you came here to be berated.. not consoled like a child.’

Jaida was surprised to find out that Justine was going to be buried in the palace. Her pleasant smile grew big and James could see pride for her daughter displayed across her face.

James took out the braid of blue hair and gave it to her.

She pushed it back towards him.

"I’d like you to keep it, I’m sure Justine would rather you have it anyway. She’d definitely be happy that you even thought to do that for me."

He didn’t know what else to say so James nodded and said his goodbyes and almost walked out of her door.

Turning back to Jaida, James paused before running at her and wrapping her up in a big hug.

He remembered a conversation he had with Justine.

He had asked her if she resented her mother for trying to make connections to send her to the academy, where all the horrible stuff happened to her.

She had shaken her head no and explained that her mother was a good woman who wanted the best for her.

Justine had even said that she wanted him to have sex with her mother. She had a wonderful smile on her face while thinking about ways to make her mother happy.

James looked up at the tall woman and she smiled down at him, James used [Identify] and saw she was 45 years old.

’I hope Justine will be happy if I get her mother pregnant.’

"Jaida, would you please be on my quota?"

The woman looked at him confused, then she laughed loudly.

"Im a little old for you James, you should find a younger-"

"I want you. I told Justine I’d put another baby in you, please be my woman."

’That was a little bit of a lie.. but I think Justine would’ve approved..’

Her graceful charm shattered and James was struck by just how similar she was to Justine when he first met her.

Jaida gulped and looked at him.

"You shouldn’t say such things to an old woman like me or I’ll start too.."

"Please.."

Jaida sighed a little.

"Okay.. but you have to know something.. I’m a little dominant in the bedroom."

James didn’t really care, he just wanted to make up his failure to Justine anyway possible. If that meant satisfying her mother, then so be it.

He honestly felt relieved she accepted, he wouldn’t know what to do if she told him to get lost. James broke away from her with a smile on his face, he turned to the door as Jaida called out to him.

"W-wait! Aren’t we going to do it now.."

James laughed at her obvious eagerness and it reminded him of Justine.

"No, you’re coming with me back to the estate. I’m gonna cum in you everyday till I get you pregnant."

James saw her get hard at his words and she nodded.

"Let me gather a few things first then.."

James called Emily and Veronica over to help Jaida pack her things.

When he told them why, he could see that they clearly thought it was weird that he wanted to fulfill the quota with their dead friends mom.

’Oooohhh.. so now they have principles about sex..’

He watched the women work with a slight smile on his face.

Justine was a woman that wouldn’t be soon forgotten, but James wasn’t as weighed down by her loss anymore.

He was just truly thankful that she had been apart of his life.
