In the sky, a huge white crane flapped its wings. It seemed as though wind and resistance didn’t exist as it covered a hundred yards in the blink of an eye.
Sitting cross-legged on the back of the white crane was a young man clad in black, none other than Su Changkong!
"The journey is long; even for an Entering Saint powerhouse, non-stop flying would take nearly three years for a round trip."
Su Changkong thought to himself. The Ancient Holy Country was far away, but he didn’t need to travel at full speed. Instead, he maintained the fastest pace he could sustain over a long period. 𝑛𝘰𝑣𝘱𝑢𝑏.𝘤𝑜𝘮
As Su Changkong flew, it took him just a few days to leave the jurisdiction of the Nine Kingdoms, marking the first time in decades that he had ventured beyond this area.
Along the way, Su Changkong noticed that beyond the Nine Kingdoms, the land was not uninhabited. There were human settlements, but they were sparse, with people living like nomadic tribes.
He even found that some human tribes far from the Nine Kingdoms were not yet civilized, wearing animal hides and without a formed language or script, much like primitive people.
"They talk about the Ten Human Kingdoms... but in truth, the Nine Kingdoms are just gilding their own faces. Beyond the Nine Kingdoms, I’ve discovered some small, unheard-of human nations, some with populations less than tens of thousands, without a single Martial Artist."
As he flew, Su Changkong saw mountains and rivers pass below him, and this travel brought him many enlightenments.
The so-called Ten Human Kingdoms he had read about in books—the Upper Three Kingdoms, Central Tri-nation, Lower Three Kingdoms, and the detached Ancient Holy Country—were in fact only from the perspective of the books compiled in the Nine Kingdoms territory.
According to the Nine Kingdoms’ histories, there are ten human kingdoms, but this does not mean there aren’t other nations beyond these ten. The concept of the Ten Human Kingdoms is nothing more than data and information circulated among the Nine Kingdoms, including the Great Flame Empire.
Beyond the Nine Kingdoms, there are several nations similar to them in terms of civilization and state formation.
Whether a region can form such nations depends on the number of Spirit Veins in the region; if there are few, then the concentration of Spiritual Energy is low, making the birth of an Innate Martial Artist unlikely!
Of course, among these regions with human nations, the Ancient Holy Country is the biggest and most famous. Almost all the nations where Entering Saint powerhouses are born are aware of its existence.
However, for people outside the Ancient Holy Country, practically only Entering Saint powerhouses possess the capability to reach it!
Along the way, Su Changkong saw steep mountains covered with lush forests and cliffs, as well as stone reefs scattered across lakes, blocking paths.
Crossing such treacherous terrain on foot was impossible! Ordinary people, even if they knew of the Ancient Holy Country, would find it hard to reach within a lifetime!
"Entering Saint is not the end, but merely a qualification to touch this world!"
Su Changkong silently lamented in his heart.
Only by Entering Saint can one glance at the vastness of the world; those who don’t will always be stuck in a well, believing that they see the whole world, unable to leap out.
Admiring the scenery along the way, and considering his current speed, it would likely take him over a year to reach the Ancient Holy Country. Su Changkong didn’t remain idle during this extended time.
While his mind controlled the phantom image of the white crane to fly in a straight line, Su Changkong, sitting cross-legged on its back, began to reflect on his Martial Arts.
"There is still room for improvement in my Primordial Spirit and my Blade Technique. I can create kills involving the Primordial Spirit as the core."
Su Changkong thought to himself.
He had succeeded in cultivating his Primordial Spirit for several years, but due to the Monster Soul Seal, all his efforts had been devoted to cultivating the Heaven Silkworm Technique, leaving no time to delve into the potential of his Primordial Spirit.
Primordial Soul Out of Orifice is just the basic capability of the Primordial Spirit, like someone swinging a sword straightforwardly. But if one learns a Blade Technique, they can make better use of the sword’s lethal power!
Now, with more than a year’s journey to the Ancient Holy Country, Su Changkong had ample free time to explore the potential of his Primordial Spirit rather than just employing its inherent abilities against enemies.
"My Primordial Spirit is of the Golden Attribute, which has purified a vast amount of The Qi of Gold. Like my Iron Cutting Blade Technique, being impregnable is its feature. I just need to further enhance it in this direction."
Su Changkong’s mind was agile, and now he had reached 140 points of potential, surpassing the threshold of the Transcendent Level and far exceeding his performance during the final test of Mirror Heaven and Earth when he relied on Transcendent potential. As he pondered Martial Arts, thoughts collided and spawned numerous ingenious ideas.
"Why not compress the Geng Metal Qi and combine it with my Heaven Silkworm True Qi to form fine threads? That way, its lethality could reach a new level!"
Su Changkong found his direction of research.
Geng Metal Qi, yang in nature and extremely sharp, impregnable, and Su Changkong’s Heaven Silkworm Silk was immeasurably flexible. Combining the two, melding softness and rigidity, was sure to spawn even more variations!
He put thought into action and immediately began to experiment.
His Primordial Spirit in the Sea of Consciousness trembled slightly, releasing strands of Geng Metal Qi that merged with the pure and robust Heaven Silkworm True Qi from his Dantian.
At first, it didn’t go smoothly. The Geng Metal Qi was too sharp. Once combined with the Heaven Silkworm True Qi, it cut through like blades, breaking it apart and making it difficult to consolidate into threads.
But Su Changkong was persistent, utilizing the endlessly regenerating properties of the Heaven Silkworm True Qi to meld and integrate the two.
