"It's been longer than that, Cass," May grumbled. "You've been holed up in that cave of yours for over 150 years!"
150 years!??
Had it really been so long!?
It didn't… feel like it…
"150 years," Cassius muttered, finding such a large chunk of time quite daunting to think about. "I'm sorry for leaving you two all alone for so many years… Has anything changed in the world while I was away?"
"Humph! As long as you understand!" May snorted, though she hugged him even tighter, making sure to engrave his scent into her mind. "And yes, a whole lot has changed. The Omega Empire rose up in rebellion again, the Lost Continent of Sumeria tried to sneak its introdotrications into our lands, and the Floating Peninsula of Zacron decided to air bomb us again! All so rude and inconsiderate just because they thought you passed away while in seclusion!"
Caressing her head, Cassius smiled. "You took care of it all, though, did you not?"
May flashed a smug look, snuggling her face even more aggressively. "Obviously I sent them all packing! In fact, I foresaw their foolish actions long in advance and prepared every countermeasure known to man! Fufu~ Now they all loyally serve our Supreme Dynasty, with the entire world now under our control…!"
"I see now that I wasn't needed," said Cassius as he tenderly rubbed the light golden scar strewn across the right side of her face. "It has worsened again… Just how frequently have you been using your Innate Ability, Dove?"
In an instant, May's giddy expression froze. Her long silky black hair covered her shadowed face as she bit her lip, already aware that a lecture session was going to come next.
*Poof!*
Karate chopping her head, Cassius said, "I'm not going to punish you; just use it more sparingly. I don't want to see you drop over dead one day—at least not before you tell me what it is that you put in those homemade pies of yours."
Turning her head up, May revealed a dazzling smile. "What can I say? I just know everything that all versions of you will like! After all, I've seen it all…"
Before showing an unsightly expression that didn't match her gentle, bubbly demeanor, May hid her face in his sleeves. This forced a sigh from Cassius as he realized that even after all this time, something she wouldn't disclose was still bothering her.
'Perhaps that something is the reason why she's been so excessively using her Special Innate Ability…'
That thought lingered on his mind until he felt a sudden surge of Body Energy in the distance. Billions of miles away—a mere step for entities like them—there was a divinely beautiful woman with waterfalling iridescent hair experiencing a major breakthrough that only a couple hundred other existences had undergone in the Infinite Character Development Dimension.
"Wow…" May awed, acting completely different from just a second ago.
"It would seem that silly Master of mine actually did it," Cassius said with a small smile. "She broke through the Platinum Body Realm."
OOOM!
Turning his smile upside down was the appearance of several other Platinum Body Rank Ancestors of Pathalon. They were speeding toward where Luma was consolidating her breakthrough, their intentions unknown.
"These old fogies never did learn when not to be so nosy," Cassius coldly smiled, already vanishing from the highest mountain peak with May in his arms. "I have no choice but to give them a warning."
FWIP!
In an instant, he traversed billions of miles of mystical land. He only stopped once reaching a point that directly intercepted the paths that all of the speeding Platinum Body Ancestors were taking.
"Where are you lot off to in such a hurry?"
Cassius's booming voice rippled through the endless skies, urging all the Platinum Experts to a slow crawl. At first, they were doubting their ears, but after taking a closer look, their doubt rapidly morphed into surprise—then fear.
"S-Supreme Emperor, what are you doing out of seclusion…??" one of the Ancestors from the Balaran Conglomeratcy shivered, trying his best to maintain his composure. "Weren't you attempting to achieve a higher, never-before-seen Realm…?"
"Indeed," replied Cassius, hands behind his back, posed like an earthy deity. "And I accomplished what I wanted."
"!!!" "!!!" "!!!"
He what!?
Even while he was in the Platinum Rank—same as them—he was unbeatable!
And now you're saying that you reached an even more earth-shattering Realm!?
'Is he bluffing!?' was something all of the Ancestors thought as they scanned the immortal-like man before them. 'It must be—'
RUMBLE!!
"I'm not bluffing either," Cassius declared casually while unleashing but a mere fraction of his newfound power. "See?"
"M-Mo-Monster…!!"
The Ancestors were drenched in sweat, their faces drained of all color. The way they perceived the Supreme Emperor was like looking at the most horrifying beast imaginable—one that knew no limits.
Terrifyingly monstrous.
Shifting his icy blue gaze between all of the shivering Monarchs of this world, Cassius sighed.
Was this what it was like to be invincible?
"Well, whatever," he refocused. "Since I've been in seclusion all this time, I'll forgive you this once for trying to take advantage of my Master in her critical moment. But if you don't want to become part of my strength, I suggest you return to whence you came."
'M-Master…!? So the one breaking through the Platinum Rank turned out to be…'
These Ancestors nearly made a terrible blunder, for they assumed they could easily take advantage of the one who was making a massive breakthrough. But never would they have assumed that this person was the illustrious Master of the scariest figure in the world!
If they knew that beforehand, they never would've even dreamed of profiting from this situation!
"S-Supreme Emperor, sir, we weren't aware that the one breaking through was your Master," a Platinum Ancestor pleaded with an ass-kissing tone. "But now that we do, we'll never make the same mistake again…! We regret ever coming out!!"
"Just leave," Cassius emotionlessly waved them off. "Before I change my mind."
"R-Right away, Supreme Emperor, Lordship Sir!"
FWIP! FWIP! FWIP!
They then fucked the hell off, returning to whatever Major World Power they came from.
