Seara's smile was a testament to the trust and faith she held in Rain's capabilities. It was the kind of intricate and daring plan that she had come to expect from him—a plan born from both intellect and intuition, reflecting his unique understanding of the situation and the adversaries they faced.
"... Still, you will end up having to defeat him alone, and that woman will lure you with the promise of power," Seara said.
"I will have to use the relics to deal with him as fast as possible, so don't worry," Rain said.
Seara couldn't help but worry… she knew that Rain had a way with females and how he could make them help him using his charm. That was all in her head, of course. It was her own bias working against her since there was no scientific proof that Rain was such a player.
Rain began to work on meticulous planning while taking the time to tell his strategy to Seara. His intention was not to assume a guard's role this time around. Instead, he aimed to proactively seek out the target before the start of the next battle.
Once he located Iori, he intended to lie in wait, observing his movements until the opportune moment came to launch an assault with the intent to assassinate.
He made it clear to Seara that this approach carried substantial risks. The probability of success in such an audacious plan wasn't particularly high. Rain acknowledged the inherent dangers and uncertainties involved in attempting such a maneuver.
Yet, despite the odds stacked against him, he was resolute in his decision to take this calculated risk, driven by the urgency to disrupt the enemy's plans and potentially turn the tide in their favor.
"If anything, I will drive him away from his allies, and once he sees me, he will forget everything else," Rain said. "You guys will have to deal with the dragons, but that should be easy considering the fact that everyone received a power-up thanks to me. If I had any use for money, I would ask them to pay me for that."
"I still want to know how you did that, but I have a feeling that it will be a pain to learn, anyway, be careful, and don't hesitate to use the seal," Seara said and then kissed Rain's cheek before running toward the commander's tent. "I will inform the others of your plan."
Rain was thankful for having that much trust in Seara… but she could have at least considered things for five minutes instead of making her decision.
In any case, after two hours, Rain finished turning the crystal death knight into armor that could cover Rain's entire body, and he equipped it… his whole body was hidden, but he still could see things beyond the crystal, but the interior was completely hidden.
"The armor lost some durability, but it will repair itself as long as the rings stay in the same place…" Rain thought. "Anyway, I can't wait for Seara… I have to find that asshole as soon as possible."
Rain intended to adopt a strategy similar to that of the finest hunters and trackers, known for their expertise in blending seamlessly with the environment, patiently lying in wait for hours on end without making a single movement until their prey emerged. 𝖓𝖔𝖛𝔭𝖚𝖇.𝔠𝖔𝔪
This technique of remaining perfectly still, concealed within the surroundings, was a skill that he wanted to put into practice alongside the water mirror technique… he wasn't very patient, but it was time to make good use of that path.
In any case, his intent was to remain stationary and hidden, observing the surroundings with utmost vigilance and patience. By employing this tactic, he aimed to await the opportune moment to strike against the target… a surprise attack that, if anything, would decrease the advantage that Iori had over him.
Rain even went as far as considering using the skills of the Ruthless path, but he decided against that for the sake of the future… no point in cutting corners. In the end, Rain even made some progress on those paths as well…
Level 10: Reflective Contemplation
By using introspection and analysis of battles and challenges, resulting in the acquisition of additional experience points equivalent to 01% of the gained battle experience after the fight per level.
Level 5: Need to Plan – The more you plan ahead a battle against the enemy, the more your chances of success will increase. By knowing as much as possible about the enemy, your skills increase in effectiveness by three percent per level.
"I have no idea how these came to be… but I guess the system is quantifying everything while I just think of the rules and how the skills are supposed to work," Ran thought. "Regardless, it is time to go…"
Rain used Water Mirror and soon vanished from the cliff he was a second ago. At the same time, he began to fly in the direction Iori escaped… he didn't try to conserve his mana since time was of the essence.
Rain only had to fly for around three hours to find a large concentration of dragons eventually… they were only two hundred kilometers away from the island, and they didn't seem in a hurry to start the next attack.
"It seems that Isa scared the shit out of them… if she didn't fight in the last three thousand years, how the hell is she so strong?" Rain thought. "Is she a retired dragoness or something?"
Rain found himself wondering about Isa's astonishing strength and pondered whether she could possibly be the offspring of the former dragon god. This thought stemmed from his attempt to rationalize her immense latent power and formidable capabilities… while he gave her a hand, it was impossible that he doubled her power or something…
"I am not the only one full of secrets, so I guess I don't have that many rights to pry about it," Rain shrugged. "I can't be a hypocrite."
