Chapter 1082: Chapter 1082: Seeking Revenge
"Who are you!"
When Julius Reed tried to ask again, there was no sound coming from the phone.
"Go to Five-state International!"
He yelled out loud.
"Understood!"
Aron Jackson started the car, stepped on the gas, and forcefully drove the sedan.
Early morning.
The streets were not crowded, and the speed of the car had almost reached 140.
During the ride, Julius Reed dialed Templeton Lena’s mobile phone; no one answered.
He tried to call Venassa Pine, but again, no one answered.
Even the landline of the Seven Clouds Book Academy at Five-state International was unreachable.
"Boss, who exactly is the other party!"
Aron Jackson asked anxiously, "Should I call the brothers over?"
From the tone and expression of Julius Reed, he knew that the matter was serious.
"It’s no use, however many people you bring, it will be of no avail."
Julius Reed’s mind started to race, trying to figure out who the other party was.
They had not come directly for him, which was a clear sign that they were targeting the Seven Clouds Book Academy.
Having killed a Grandmaster at the Kensington Family in Five-river Province yesterday, he had anticipated that such a day would come.
But he had not expected it to arrive so soon!
It was only a little past 7 am, and the enemy had already approached.
Moreover, the one who overpowered Templeton Lena and Venassa Pine without giving them a chance to fight back must certainly be a Grandmaster-level Martial Artist.
"Faster."
Looking at the speedometer nearing 150, Julius Reed still couldn’t help urging the driver on.
Helping Quella Radcliffe transfer vital energy had already left him physically and mentally exhausted.
Now, with a powerful enemy approaching, he may be facing a fierce battle!
Most importantly, Devlin had clearly begun to target him with his schemes.
For Julius Reed, Devlin was like a rat hiding in the sewers, a constant thorn in his side!
Sooner or later, he would find an opportunity to eliminate this threat once and for all.
Ten minutes later.
The sedan pulled up in front of the Five-state International building.
Julius Reed pushed open the car door and dashed towards the building.
On his face was a golden dragon mask.
Since the enemy was looking for trouble with Mad Dragon and Seven Clouds Book Academy, he simply chose to conceal his real identity.
Since it was still early, there weren’t many people inside Five-state International.
Instead, Itai Huntington, upon seeing the figure of Julius Reed on the monitor, ran out barefoot from the office.
"Julius Reed!"
She jumped excitedly, waving her hands as she bounced around.
Her face was brimming with joyful happiness,
Like a young girl experiencing the first flutters of love.
Since their parting in the capital city, they had only seen each other once at a board meeting.
But Julius Reed glanced at her and without having time to speak, dove into the elevator.
Ten minutes!
There were only ten minutes left until the time agreed upon by the mysterious man who had called.
Both Templeton Lena and Venassa Pine were under someone else’s control, and he had no mood to chat with Itai Huntington.
Ding!
Once the elevator reached the top floor, Julius Reed dashed out.
He ran up to the rooftop via the stairs.
When he arrived on the rooftop, he saw Templeton Lena.
Or rather, Templeton Lena covered in blood.
Next to him sat Venassa Pine,
Similarly wounded.
"Mad Dragon?"
A white-haired man was squatting on the rooftop.
The man was wearing a blood-red robe, hands resting on a sword.
The robe was embroidered with a golden phoenix, and he wore a golden belt around his waist.
The sword was carved with patterns.
Entirely snow-white.
It gleefully reflected the morning light.
Seeing Julius Reed arrive, the man looked up slightly with a hint of a smile on his lips.
"Judging by your appearance, you must be Mad Dragon."
He stood up, his right hand holding the sword.
"Mad Dragon! He’s extremely formidable; you need to be careful!"
Templeton Lena yelled frantically.
His voice had already grown hoarse.
Slap!
"Quiet!"
The man gave Templeton Lena a backhanded slap, causing blood to flow from the corner of his mouth.
"Another word, and I’ll chop off your tongue!"
After saying that, the man turned away in disgust and pulled a handkerchief from his pocket.
He gently wiped off the fresh blood on his hand and then tossed the handkerchief into the air.
"I admire your courage."
The man, gripping the longsword, looked Julius Reed up and down with utter arrogance and said, "I am Horatio Leopold! Disciple of the Heavenly Killing Gate of Fire Grandmaster from Skyslaughter Sect. You know why I’m here."
Horatio Leopold spoke with contempt and annoyance in his tone.
In his view, the Seven Clouds Academy was nothing more than a paper tiger in the world of martial artists.
It might scare off those without real skills.
Dare to challenge the Skyslaughter Sect head-on?
That would be suicide.
A paper tiger can only scare people, after all.
Although Horatio Leopold couldn’t understand why his junior, Matthias Moore, had died at the hands of Mad Dragon when he too was a Young Master,
the death of a junior was a disgrace to the entire Heavenly Killing Gate of Fire Grandmaster!
It was his undeniable responsibility as the senior brother to seek revenge!
"I don’t want to know who you are."
Julius Reed strode over and pointed at Templeton Lena, "Did you hit my man?"
"Indeed! Two stubborn wastes of space! I demanded they tell me your whereabouts, but neither would comply. In the end, I had no choice but to use some ’persuasion’."
Horatio Leopold spread his hands, slightly exasperated, "But I nearly killed them, and still, they wouldn’t speak. Mad Dragon, your employees are quite loyal!"
He’d had no choice but to use Templeton Lena’s phone to call because he couldn’t pry open their mouths.
Unexpectedly,
Mad Dragon really showed up.
"Honestly, I’m curious about what this so-called Seven Clouds Academy really is! And who their leader, Mad Dragon, is."
Horatio Leopold, with his engraved longsword in both hands and disdain in his eyes, said, "But after seeing you, I must say, I’m disappointed."
He had thought his opponent would be someone noteworthy!
Hiding behind a mask, elusive.
"You talk too much."
Julius Reed stopped five meters in front of Horatio Leopold, narrowed his eyes, and said coldly, "In your life, have you ever regretted anything?"
"Oh ho, making small talk with me?"
Horatio Leopold tossed his white hair with his hand, speaking disdainfully, "Nothing I regret so far. I’ve been a genius since I was young, unmatched among my peers in Skyslaughter Sect. That kind of life is perfect."
Within Skyslaughter Sect, talent abounded.
But Horatio Leopold was still a standout genius among them.
"Excellent people are excellent anywhere."
He added.
"Then now, your biggest regret has happened."
Julius Reed clenched his fists and took a deep breath, "You shouldn’t have come."
Before his words were finished, he shot out like lightning!
A punch tore through the air!
"Hands-on right away?"
As Julius Reed suddenly attacked, Horatio Leopold hugged the longsword with his left hand and threw a punch with his right!
Boom!
Their fists clashed.
Julius Reed didn’t flinch, but Horatio Leopold stumbled back three steps.
"Not bad."
During their first exchange, Horatio Leopold’s eyes flashed with a hint of surprise but quickly filled with excitement!
His opponent was much stronger than he had anticipated.
"Good! I even thought I wouldn’t need to draw my sword!"
He licked his lips, his face still brimming with confidence, "Now, you can fight with all your strength. No one survives under my sword."
The longsword was slowly drawn from its scabbard.
In the sunlight, it glinted with a cold light.
Templeton Lena and Venassa Pine, who were closest to Horatio Leopold, shivered subconsciously.
"This sword’s name is Dawn! Your life will end by its blade."
Horatio Leopold ran his fingers over the blade, his expression turning suddenly icy!
Whoosh!
The sword was drawn!
